The paper deals with four opisthobranch molluscs, which were found in the Slovenian marine waters as new records. The pleurobranchomorph Pleurobranchea meckeli was found on two occasions on muddy detritic bottom in the Gulf of Piran in June of 2013 and 2014. The nudibranch Favorinus branchialis was found in May and June 2014 on turf vegetation in a very shallow area off the pier in Koper harbour. Its spawn with white eggs was also found nearby. The second nudibranch Facelina rubrovittata was found in March 2010 crawling in the intertidal zone of the Nature reserve Strunjan. The third nudibranch Dondice banyulensis was found in waters of the Nature Monument Debeli rtic on sedimentary bottom. With the fi nding of these four species, the total number of opisthobranchs recorded to date in the Slovenian part of the Adriatic Sea increased to 75 species. Prispevek obravnava podatke o štirih vrstah polžev zaškrgarjev (Opisthobranchia), ki so bili najdeni v slovenskem delu Jadranskega morja. V letih 2013 in 2014 smo našli nekaj primerkov vrste Pleurobranchea meckelii. Gološkrgarja vrste Favorinus branchialis smo našli na nizki blazinasti vegetaciji v plitvem morju ob koprskemu pomolu v maju in juniju 2014. V bližini je bil tudi njegov mrest. O tej vrsti so znani zapisi iz okolice Rovinja in Ravene. Drugega gološkrgarja vrste Facelina rubrovittata smo našli v Mesecevemu zalivu v naravnem rezervatu Strunjan marca 2010.

A vinter oceanographic field experiment provided an opportunity to examine theatmospheric marine conditions over the northern Adriatic. Mean February winds are from a northeasterly direction over most of the Adriatic and a more northerly direction along the western coast...
In vivo investigations of catfish olfactory receptor neurons (ORNs) were previously limited to studying responses of spontaneously active cells. The olfactory organ, however, also contains ORNs that lack spontaneous activity and respond to amino acids. To record electrical activity of ORNs that were inactive prior to stimulation, we bathed the olfactory organ with low conductive, highly purified water that reduces shunting and enables detection of action potentials from ORNs distant to the electrode. After stimulation with amino acids, these ORNs elicited either phasic-tonic or tonic only activities. The spike frequency of the phasic activity consisted of transient frequencies up to 108 Hz that lasted 2 amino acids that included l-norvaline. In 29 of 31 neurons responding to >1 amino acid, the duration of the responses to the most stimulatory amino acid was at least double compared to that to the other amino acids. The amplitude of electro-olfactogram (EOG) correlated significantly with the number of ORNs activated by the same amino acids confirming that the EOG represents the sum of ORN receptor potentials.
