This collection of datasets contains current and wave data measured by an ADCP instrument related to the OBSEA platform since Mar, 2010. OBSEA is a permanent underwater cabled seabed observatory located in front of the Catalan's coast near Barcelona, at 20 m depth which is used as a test site for different experiments related with marine sensors. It has a sea station and a ground station, which include a surface buoy equipped with weather station and camera and a coastal cabled system (seabed platform). OBSEA is part of the European Multidisciplinary Seafloor Observatory (EMSO) infrastructure and participates as a Coastal Observatory data provider and Test Site on the JERICO-RI. For a comfortable handling of these weather station data they were summarized monthly to one data set each. On the 1st of December a major step forward in the direct ocean observing was taken with the deployment of the new observatory infrastructure, an ocean monitoring multi-sensor module EMSO Generic Instrument Module (EGIM) and its installation and maintenance on the OBSEA underwater observatory near the coast of Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona, Spain). EGIM is the key objective of the European Multidisciplinary Seafloor and water-column Observatory Development (EMSODEV) project- funded by the European Union' s dedicated programme for research and innovation, Horizon 2020. After EGIM has undergone various and rigorous dry tests in laboratories, the first deployment's main purpose was to test the module under real-life conditions. This data set contains raw data from this deployment, including data collected using a Seabird SBE37 CTD, a Seabird SBE54 Tsunami meter, a AADI DW4831 Oxygen Optode, a Wetlabs ECO NTUrtd Fluorometer and a TELEDYNE RDI Workhorse monitor ADCP.

This collection of datasets contains data measured by two weather stations related to the OBSEA platform since Feb, 2010. The first weather station is deployed at the OBSEA buoy, the second is located at the OBSEA shore station on top of the UPC building.
