France, Germany, Belgium and Denmark share the legacy of monarchical history, with very clear identity and strong cultural heritage. Estonia is much smaller and does not have that experience. Its culture combines many influences of multiple occupations, but it was preserved and Estonians are very proud of their traditions. This fact made the collaboration even more interesting. The project coordinator was Tallinna Kuristiku Gymnasium from Estonia. Partners, Klaus Groth Schule fromGermany, AR Gatti de Gamond from Belgium, Risskov Gymnasium from Denmark and Lycee Saint-Exupery Mantes La Joile from France, were selected considering their experience in projects on cultural heritage and the fact that most of them had been collaborating with each other already. The new joint topic of interest of all partners was digital literacy and how it could be used while teaching travelling and transport topics. The project researched cultural and linguistic aspects of five partner countries, which are relevant while teaching tour guiding with emphasis on safety and different means of transportation. The research was supported with training courses how to use digital devices, educational online environments and applications in contemporary studies. The research was divided into seven topics: travel itinerary, sights, means of transportation, different ways of travelling, a video diary, safety and the must-to-know vocabulary. The project was realized through 48 activities, which was dealt with throughout 3 project years and the results of which were produced during 4 exchanges of groups of pupils. The most important outcome was working in international teams and creating videos of local cultural landmarks. Four of all partner schools hosted one short-term exchange of groups of pupils and supervised the quality of implementation of all activities concerning 7 topics under research and the results. Participants were aged 16 - 19, all secondary school students. Research of each topic included collecting and evaluating valid up-to-date information about sights and means of transport, composing travel itinerary, recording videos, taking pictures, making a video diary. As the project aimed to develop digital literacy, the use of computers, cameras, camcorders, iPads, smart phones and appropriate software to be used for creating a set of materials to be implied in further studies. We intended to develop digital literacy among students and teachers and to increase the interest of students for their homeland cultural heritage. We cooperated with local organizations and cultural institutions who are active in the particular field. The learners enlarged their knowledge about different European cultures. They were inspired to better communicate and cooperate with any nation in Europe in order to become a more independent traveller, who among others knows how to travel safely, how to compose travel itineraries and is familiar with cultural backgrounds. The project also contributed to the learners' personal development through the problem- solving approach and peer group teaching that was supported by the participation in multicultural teams. It can not be denied that woking in mixed teams and hosting a peer from another country added value to all project work and especially to youths' relationships which is the key element when it comes to tolerance, understanding of differences between nations and bringing people closer together. As a result of the project 4 sets of materials were produced and published on the project web-page. The materials were made public and disseminated via multiple learning activities for all interested parties. The outcome materials were issued as well and shared via Twinspace and through websites of each school. One of the goals was to continue sustainable cooperation and provide in-service training sessions to colleagues who are interested in project work. The project proved to be sustainable as several partners continue cooperation through new Erasmus plus projects.

It cannot be denied that it is compulsory to keep up with the innovations in the field of digital literacy in order to be able to use it in a positive way. It is very important for teachers to include the usage of ICT in their yearly plans and the syllabus.Through this project we aim to provide the participants with the motivation to learn and improve the level of a second language they have been taught and to familiarize themselves with the languages of the other participating countries. It is obvious that knowing a foreign language is the key skill to start communication and collaboration. Also we would like to provide opportunities to the participating institutions to be internationalised in their studies and to lead the students to success in life through achieving their dreams, being academically successful and efficient lifelong learners. Thanks to this collaboration, all the participating countries will be getting more used to looking through each other's perspectives, improving tolerance and empathy. We intend to provide students with hands-on learning environments which they could use to learn by themselves in the future. All the technology based tools will be promoted to be used for improving the language skills they have been learning and increasing motivation to learn foreign languages. The project plans to teach students how to discover their self-motivation and confidence and improve themselves through the activities related to learning languages and using digital tools. Using technology in the education in the world we live in is of utmost importance, as it is possible to reach the knowledge with just a single click. All schools agree that nowadays students lack key competences like communication skills, interpersonal skills, and wider ICT skills. All schools will address these deficiencies and will try to improve key competences of students and teachers alike, using English as the target language. Furthermore, the project will improve the quality of teaching and learning via training sessions and workshops with experts in these fields of knowledge. As educators, we believe that it has a crucial importance to keep up with technological changes, especially in the field of education which changes very rapidly in order to be an engaging and aspiring teacher. This project is a very good chance to learn and practice new skills, to make long lasting relationships with 6 different countries in Europe and Asia, to polish foreign language skills and to learn more about people with different backgrounds and religions.

Mattioli,Liceul de Artă Ion Vidu''Funder: European Commission Project Code: 2020-1-IT02-KA229-079429Funder Contribution: 162,480 EUR"Being an Active Citizen means knowingly participating in political life and the full ingagement of a person in the network of rights and duties that are constitutive of being a citizen, it means contributing to our own community thanks to a sense of civic participation in each of us.Educating to active citizenship means raising awareness and informing students on emerging issues regarding civic education, the environment, non-hostile communication, the fight against bullying and cyber-bullying but also the integration of ethnic minorities and the fight against marginalization and gender equality.Active citizenship, in particular youth citizenship, is one of the key expressions in the active participation of citizens and is one of the greatest challenges of contemporary Europe in a system that is constantly changing and which aims at intelligent, sustainable and inclusive growth, awareness against any form of bullying, the integration of ethnic minorities and gender equality: students often lack the skills needed to share civic activism as a ""citizenship practice"".The project aims to improve and expand civic education and active citizenship education to be applied in several fields: the project provides for an exchange of good practices on the theme of active citizenship between five partner schools from Italy, Estonia, Romania, Portugal and Germany, to be carried out through 5 exchanges of groups of pupils. Each school will select for each exchange 6 students who will be accompanied by 2 teachers, for a total of 24 students and 8 teachers for each school will be involved in mobility activities in the countries of the project, for a general total of 120 student mobilities and 40 teacher mobilities to be carried out during the 2 years of duration of the project. The aim is to exchange good practices in the teaching / learning of active citizenship considered as a mind-set that supports students in a globalised world as socially active, responsible and cosmopolitan citizens. The objectives of the exchanges will focus on non-hostile communication, bullying and cyber-bullying, sustainable development, integration and non-marginalization of ethnic minorities and gender equality; the exchanges represent the means to bring students closer to the world of correct conscious and responsible communication through which to raise awareness on other sectors (integration, sustainability and equality); the cooperation between students from different countries will be strategic so as to foster the awareness of shared values, seen as a common educational model that allows full awareness. The good practices shown and observed during the exchanges will be collected in a ""Toolkit on methods to teach active citizenship and to become an active citizen"" addressed to students and teachers which will contain the project premise (needs, priorities, objectives), the guidelines for teachers and best practices developed in each country. The Toolkit will be drawn up in English and translated into the languages of the partnership, thanks also to the help of the students who will participate in the exchange, and will be a useful tool for the teachers and students of the project and for others who in the future will want to start educational activities in active citizenship. The student exchanges will be accompanied by local activities where schools will show the project outputs as well as creating a space for considerations and feedback on the activities already carried out and to be carried out.A project has already been started on eTwinning with the same partners, title and objectives as this proposal and the development of the eTwinning project will run parallel to the Erasmus + project.A Facebook page of the project will be created on which all the audio-visual materials of the project activities will be published, along with the Toolkit, the presentations of the schools, the exchanges and all the materials produced during the duration of the project. The partners will collaborate with each other also thanks to the project meetings that will be organized on Skype and, before the exchanges, project meetings to coordinate and plan together the activities to be carried out.The aim of the project is to develop the basic and transversal skills of the learners which are of fondamental importance for their global education, i.e. oriented towards an eco-sustainable world, with a high rate of integration and correct communication and information, to be achieved by supporting and implementing a system of open and innovative teaching methods to improve the quality, innovation and internationalization of school education and training through the transnational cooperation of the 5 partner schools."
