The goal of 10 simulations creating group ""Make Interest"" is to awaken students' curiosity and interest in mathematics by posting the process in the environment close to the students. Each simulation is accompanied by a teacher guide containing variety of usage scenarios during the course material. The lesson may be of a discussion led by the students (support group work), ""fights between students"" (the teacher presents the problem and the students based on the simulation are trying to predict the solution, which is then later verified). Simulations group ""Practise"" aims to consolidate the knowledge gained through the ""Make Interest"" and gain competence. Each simulation is a story to which consists of a sequence of scenes. The task of the student is solving problems and finding the key - the next knowledge useful in life. Innovation of the project is to develop a simulation of situations of everyday life or in another context in which we make decisions based on knowledge and mathematical skills. Developed simulations will be subject to evaluation designed to find answers to questions about: the extent to which developed mathematical simulations correspond to the identified problems in the teaching of mathematics, the level of ""profitability"" developed simulation, the level of ""effectiveness"" - the extent to which the assumptions made during the development of the vision simulations have been achieved, the impact of the use of simulation in the teaching of mathematics in the school environment for teachers and students, ""permanence effects"" - (or positive effects on the level of project results and will last to the end of EU funding), the possibility of further expansion of the base simulation teaching aids other areas. Implementation of the developed simulation and guides will be carried out during the training organized for teachers and future teachers. At the end of the project will be organized in Gliwice (PL) disseminating the developed simulation conference, guides and reports of their evaluation. The project was developed by the Silesian Metropolitan Network sp. Z oo (PL), Universitaet WIEN (A), AS COLLEGE LIMITED CYPRUS (CY), Viteco Srl (I), the WCR 11 in Gliwice (PL). Duration of the project - 2 years."

It is substantially more complicated than the previous programmes and it requires a high level of background knowledge to be fully understood.Once the organizations manage to acquire all the necessary information about the new programmes the next challenges rise when they intend to implement it in their organizations. It requires a strong organizational capacity with competent project managers with advanced project management tools. Although there is a lot of material on different project management approaches, they are all designed for organizations that don’t require a 3rd party to finance their projects. This lack of Project Management Standards for NGO’s (or for donor financed projects) causes difficulties for organizations in their efforts to successfully implement the new Programmes. The aim of this project was to strengthen NGO’s capacities to take potent/influential actions in the frameworks of the Erasmus + Programme. The project entailed the following objectives:-To enable organizations to easily understand the Erasmus + Programme, the Europe 2020 Strategy, the ET 2020 and other important EU Policies;-To strengthen the organizations ability to address successfully the objectives outlined by Erasmus + Programme, the Europe 2020 Strategy, the ET 2020 and other important EU Policies;-To enable organizations to satisfy the needs of all of their stakeholders;-To provide organizations with efficient Project Management methods and standards that focus on efficiently aligning the EU Policies with local needs. The project was implemented in cooperation with other 3 partner organizations from Denmark, UK and Italy. The partners had extensive experience with working with previous EU programmes for youth and education and project management. The project entailed the following activities:- 4 transnational meetings (a kick off meeting, Seminar to agree on project management standards to be developed, a Revision meeting and an Evaluation meeting)- Research upon about the best practices with the EU Programmes, the EU Policies, Project Management Standards conducted by each partner;- Output Development: video explanation of ET 2020, EU2020, Renewed Framework, Project Management Standards and a number of tools useful in the project design and implementation.- 2 Learning mobilities for youth workers: first to test the outputs developed and second to train youth workers in their use. - Multiplier events: Each partner had organised multiplier events in their countries, disseminating the intellectual outputs developed. The project has developed a VAP philosophy for the management of projects under Erasmus+, youth sector. The philosophy outlines the need of creating value for the beneficiary organisation, the end-users and donor (European Union). The philosophy also outlines the evolutionary approach in creating change, as opposed to the revolutionary approach. Based on this philosophy, the project has a created a number of project management standards that help organisations acting in the youth sector to create value with their projects. The user-friendly videos and tools allow organisations to better align their organisational needs with the Erasmus+ objectives. The user-friendly materials give a concise understanding upon the Europe 2020, Renewed framework and EU2020, allowing the organisation to better integrate their objectives in to their Erasmus+ projects.

This set against a background of economic recession, persistent unemployment and a shrinking job market. The context for Be Your Own Boss is that job creation, and entrepreneurialism, are proven ways for peripheral communities to develop their own futures and grow local economies – yet they are rarely given access to the tools and support, such as business incubation, which is necessary to allow this to happen.BYOB aims to transfer and adapt a successful methodology of raising entrepreneurial skills and job creation to new socio-cultural and linguistic contexts across Europe. The objectives are to give adult educators, and therefore learners, access to a proven methodology, which is grounded in experience provided inside business incubators and supported by online learning materials. The results will be increased capacities of adult educators to develop entrepreneurial skills in learners and the actual creation of micro-businesses and jobs by the adult learners. The partnership brings together a private business, an international NGO, national incubators, and those experienced in adult education from 6 different countries with a broad geographical scope. The profile of those the project will work with are adult educators, adult learners and business incubators who work in, and alongside, peripheral individuals and communities. These groups could be peripheral for any reason such as geographical, economical, social, etc. The aim is to work alongside these groups to create 30 new businesses, and therefore jobs, by the end of the pilot. The partnership activities will include creating a detailed state of the art review of entrepreneurial support for adults and those in peripheral regions, the creation of handbooks for adult educators and business incubators to engage with these individuals, 30 e-tutorials for those both using and experiencing the methodology, a pilot in 3 different countries of the methodology and a website where the project experiences and created tools will be available in all partner languages. Alongside this there will be a detailed dissemination and exploitation plan, a monitoring and evaluation plan, a quality assurance plan and a set of 5 transnational meetings between partners which will include multiplier events in the forms of conferences, seminars or press events. The methodology to be used in carrying out the project is an open approach to project management and participation where each partner has the lead on a different activity under the ultimate control of the project leader. There will be monthly skype meetings between the project lead and each partner and technology such as skype and dropbox will be used to allow all partners to access necessary documents and pro formas. The results of the project will be a flexible model and methodology of job creation and entrepreneurial teaching for adults. It is a programme which will be supported by downloadable tools and resources. The result of the pilot will be 30 peripheral adult learners who have been supported to set up their own micro-businesses in their regions and the jobs which result from this. There will be a replicable and robust teaching model for the adult educators which has been disseminated at local, regional, national and international level. This will result in an impact at policy level.

In the recent crisis, with significant unemployment rates and even higher youth unemployment, European countries need to focus even more on promoting entrepreneurship among young generation as an alternative solution to the lack of jobs. However, young entrepreneurs need: a conducive environment for their ideas and businesses; support from policy makers and local communities; a network of contacts and opportunities to share their ideas; and advice and inspiration from experienced entrepreneurs. The EC, through Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) programme, funds ""wanna-be"" or young entrepreneurs (<3 years of experience, which is also the definition of ""young entrepreneur"" adopted by MENTEE) to stay abroad with experienced entrepreneurs to validate their business ideas and gain insight into the real life of European SMEs. However, what happens when the benefit of the EYE relationship is over? Initial analysis of 3.600 entrepreneurs taking part in EYE, showed that just 30% were able to realize a business idea at the end of the project, and 80% of these succeed because the host keep on shadowing them as mentor and supporter. So although EYE is very effective in terms of participants, a 6 month placement is not enough to ensure that a young entrepreneur is able to develop a healthy business and overcome the first difficult years of a start-up. The initiative has no follow-up phase, with participants left in need of further training, inspiration and a community to share ideas and opportunities for growth. Of course there are numerous local support initiatives, but MENTEE aimed to fill this gap and provide young entrepreneurs with a strong international network of support (as often EYE participants have business ideas involving international dimension), including mentors that can share practical knowledge, skills and advice; other peers to connect with, and e-learning tools and information to build their business. Originally the outcomes were meant to be mostly valuable to the entrepreneurs who had previous international experience with EYE, however in practice the project gained interest of entrepreneurs in general.MENTEE objectives included:- transfer a successful mentoring model to the target group of young entrepreneurs- train and prepare experienced entrepreneurs to use mentoring (Mentoring Circles)- provide face-to-face mentoring to young entrepreneurs in 4 partner countries- adapt an online platform for further learning and networking opportunities. All the above objectives were met, and the quality assurance tools reported good levels of quality, both in terms of working processes as well as in terms of achieved results and impact of implemented activities. The Intellectual Outputs developed by Mentee:- Competence frameworks for key entrepreneurship competences (O1) and key mentoring competences (O2) - Young Entrepreneurs Skills and Competencies Manual (O3)- Mentoring Circles Programme and Facilitators Manual (O4)- Social Collaborative & Learning Platform for Young Entrepreneurs (O5)- e-Modules for Young Entrepreneurs Learning Online (O6)In addition to the outcomes above, the partnership has organised 9 multiplier events in all partners' countries, which had critical relevance for disseminating the project results to its target groups, and even more important, in total 8 pilots of Mentoring Circles were conducted, and not only they validated the manuals and materials developed by MENTEE, but also the participants reported great satisfaction with the approach and mentoring methodology proposed by this project.Overall, there is evidence that the MENTEE impact has been strong and very positive mostly on the young entrepreneurs who were more directly involved in the project (e.g. participation in the pilots, events or platform), but also on entrepreneurship support actors that were familiarized with the Mentoring Circles approach and tools and will be able to benefit from them in future. Close relations with EYE organisations also impacted their perception of the longer-term needs of entrepreneurs, not to mention the positive impact on the project partners, who have enriched their competences to mentor and support entrepreneurs. Therefore in long-term MENTEE has definitely contributed to creation/growth of an entrepreneurial generation with a new mindset able to generate new strong business opportunities, jobs and global development of society. The MENTEE partnership (7 partners from 5 countries: PL,UK,PT,IT,GR) has gathered well qualified organisations, whose profiles were not only suitable to successfully implement the project (incl. organisations with experience in EYE, training and business support SMEs, a technical partner for IT developments...) but will also allow future exploitation of results produced."
