Right now when Europe is facing social, political, economic and environmental challenges, young people should have the power to express their expectations and to change things by becoming active European citizens! With this project we want to inform a wide society about the risks and chances the future might bring. Our main general objective is to increase education quality provided by the partner schools in order to make students build their future and not only to live in a passive way. The specific objectives are related to Interdisciplinary learning (O1), developing key competences (02) and developing communication skills (O3).This project is adressed to five European high schools and in the long run also to primary schools, local organisations and authorities. In each school at least 20 students and 5 teachers will take part in mobilities and a lot more in workshops and other activities. We have decided to organize five meetings because the project covers five topics (urban space, education space, nature, human space and multiculture) which will be dealt with individually at each international meeting. In the time between and after the meetings students and teachers in each school will work on preparation of the final products and results. With regard to methodology, we plan to use lectures, interviews, international group work, study visits, workshops…We intend to produce a magazine of the year 2050, a time capsule with a message to future generations, digital presentations, short movies, dance and theatre performances.Participating students and teachers will learn a lot about the way they may influence and shape the future. With this project the students will develop and strengthen their self confidence, cultural awareness and motivation. They will be able to express their ideas to local society and take active part in decision making process concerning the future by being active European citizens.
