Machine learning, artificial language assistants and even far more complex artificial intelligences (AI) are simplifying processes and making them more efficient. In addition to many areas in which the use of digital solution approaches and AI tools are already almost part of everyday life, the use of AI tools is currently being primarily researched, tested and used in the area of corporate education and training. In particular, the rapid changes due to the Covid-19 pandemic show the need for action regarding the application of digital teaching/learning concepts and the acquisition of digital competences. Dealing with new technologies is a challenge for many people responsible for education. In its Digital Education Plan 2021 - 2027, the EU points out the need for further development and establishment of digital education and training. The project aims to complement a learning platform that has been completed in the EU project ""Career 4.0"" and successfully implemented in seven EU countries with innovative AI in a way that both learners and teachers can benefit from the AI tools and be introduced to their usage. In particular, agile learning methods, learning analytics, adaptive learning systems and intelligent CBR recommendation systems will be addressed. At the same time, the dissemination level and sustainability of the learning platform will be decisively improved. By developing a methodical-didactic training concept based on the self-learning module on vocational education in the context of digitalization, the aim is to specifically address further training of teachers (e.g. trainers, trainers of trainers, teachers from e.g. (vocational) schools ) so that they can be qualified in the topics and methods required for the successful implementation of digital solutions in vocational education and training, and additionally acquire the ability to support learners even more intensively and individually. On the basis of the self-learning modules designed, those responsible for education can familiarise themselves with the challenges of the digital transformation with regard to in-company training and deepen their competences. The result of this project is a qualification program in the form of digital self-learning modules based on an advanced learning platform, which improves the interaction between teachers and learners through the scientifically based use of AI and thus supports the development and promotion of competencies. The learning platform can serve as a basis for the teaching and learning processes of training companies, profit as well as non-profit organizations or (vocational) schools, promote a wide range of addressees and thereby compensate for inequalities between social classes, genders or countries through the respective necessary level of support. The task of the respective project partners in the EU countries is, among other things, to ensure access to the target groups of the project as well as to vocational training institutions, universities, training companies, etc.. They help to build up a mentor and expert network on the topics of the self-learning modules and develop a strategy for the sustainable use and anchoring of the learning concept in continuing vocational training. Last but not least, they are responsible for testing the learning platform based on the AI tools and conduct training courses for education officers. The consortium consists of the renowned IT company ""Cytech"" from Heraklion (GR), two Chambers of Commerce and Industry from Pécs (HU) and Gabrowo (BG), the Technical Institute of the Chamber of Heraklion (GR) and the University of Turku (Fi). The project is led by the Institute of Labour Science at the Ruhr University Bochum.<< Objectives >>Due to the digital transformation of the world of work, which has steadily accelerated as a result of the Covid 19 crisis, there are new demands on teaching/learning processes and thus also on the various forms of competence development and promotion. At the same time, the use of digital tools in the teaching/learning process for vocational education and training has been limited. The opportunities offered by the use of IT and AI tools for teaching and learning activities are therefore to be focused on in the project and greater use of these for vocational education and training is to be pushed. Of particular interest in this context are the effects of digital teaching and learning activities regarding the dual training system. The aim is to contribute to the updating of the dual training system and to the attractiveness of the dual training system in Europe. The main objective of the project is to consider the need for change with regard to the digital transformation and to actively shape it. In this context, digital competencies are to be acquired or the acquisition of these competencies is to be simplified within the framework of vocational education and training, and lifelong learning is to be supported. The central issue here is the extent to which various IT and AI tools can make teaching and learning activities more efficient, more effective and, above all, more attractive for learners. Specifically, the project described here is intended to tie in with the EU project ""Career 4.0"". Within the framework of the ""Career 4.0"" project, a learning platform for in-company training and further education, which has already been successfully tested in seven EU countries, was completed and is to be linked to in the project described. In particular, the usefulness and ease of use of the learning platform is to be improved with the help of IT and AI tools such as chatbots, learning analytics and intelligent CBR recommendation systems. In addition, the learning platform will be modified to be accessible so that underrepresented groups, such as youth with visual impairments, have the opportunity to benefit from the learning platform. Additionally, the Covid crisis has highlighted the relevance of digital learning formats as an alternative form of learning. It should be positively emphasized that the acceptance of digital learning formats has increased considerably. However, the extent of reflection on the use of digital learning formats in different contexts has not kept pace. The present project addresses this gap. Using the learning platform, young people should be able to get in touch with mentors and work out an individual development plan for future career steps. A further goal is thus the establishment of a Europe-wide network of mentors. At the same time, selected self-learning modules on various topics are being developed so that those responsible for education can acquire the necessary competences to deal with the challenges of the digital transformation in vocational education and training. Against this background, the self-learning modules build on various topics such as cybersecurity, AI, Big Data, acceptance assurance in the use of digital tools and reflection skills. Only if those responsible for education are familiar with the possibilities and limitations of these tools they can use them for their advantage in designing teaching and learning processes. Since it is of relevance in this context to enable a high usability and easy access to the learning platform, it is a further goal to evaluate the learning platform. Based on scientifically founded questionnaires, which deal with the usability (SUS), the visual design (VisAWI), the design and the structure of learning platforms, a questionnaire adapted to the conditions of the learning platform is developed and tested.<< Implementation >>Several different activities are linked in order to achieve the project objectives. The project focuses on the development and testing of the project results (1 - 11), which are directly related to the chosen priorities of the project. Activities planned have a technical, conceptual, methodological-didactical and content-related character. In addition, a distinction is made between activities for testing and evaluating the project results and their dissemination. In the case of the Design project, the consortium has consulted extensively on cooperation in the development of the results and has reached appropriate agreements. Responsibilities for project deliverables and supporting activities have been clearly defined. Each member of the consortium has overarching responsibilities in the areas of planning, implementation, adaptation and dissemination in their country. For example, the further development of the learning platform ""Career 4.0"" is primarily in the hands of the Cytech project partners, while the creation of the self-learning modules was divided among the various cooperation partners depending on the content focus, in order to work synergistically according to the specialization of each partner. For the coordination and quality assurance of the project activities, the transnational project meetings Kick-off meeting, milestone meetings and the final conference, which have been applied for under management, will be conducted. In addition to the regular exchange via other communication channels, they offer the opportunity to compare the progress of the project between the individual countries, to learn from each other in the sense of best practice and to address particular needs for adaptation and support. The requested learning, teaching and training activities focus on the joint work and the project outcomes to be achieved. This ensures that relevant stakeholders from all project countries can influence the concrete design of the project outcomes already in the development process. The aim of the events is to analyze and harmonies the needs and associated requirements of the respective target groups in the partner countries. Strategies for the target group-oriented interpretation of the project results will be developed and subsequently implemented. This activity will help the users of the self-learning modules to develop very concrete and relevant professional and generic competences related to the implementation and use of digital AI-based practices in the field of vocational education and training. In addition to other press and public relations activities, multiplier events in the form of expert workshops in all project countries serve to disseminate the project results. Relevant project results are presented to the public and experts are brought into a dialogue about the long-term use of the project results. In this way, the results of the project are multiplied. Of central importance for the achievement of the project goals are also the local trainings of education actors in each partner country, in which the concept for vocational education and training including self-learning modules is subjected to a first real practice test with the help of the further developed learning platform with selected AI tools. The learning situation created by the learning activities offers young people and mentors an exceptional opportunity for experiential learning. The findings from this testing will feed into the project outcomes and dissemination activities. Overall, it should be noted that all planned project activities are closely interlinked and contribute to high quality products as well as an effective first implementation.<< Results >>The objectives of the project include further development of the already created platform ""Career 4.0"", the creation and publication of self-learning modules in the field of digital competences as well as the accelerating the use of IT and AI tools in vocational education and training. These sub-goals are explained below. The project aims to further develop the already developed and tested learning platform ""Career 4.0"" with the help of selected AI tools, such as learning analytics, adaptive learning systems and intelligent CBR recommendation system. The new requirements for the learning platform in terms of AI tools will be elaborated together with the project partners in the form of user cases and user stories. The further development of the learning platform with AI tools and their quality will be checked with the help of an appropriate usability evaluation. The objective of further developing the learning platform on the basis of chatbots and technical AI assistance systems leads to new requirements, which are worked out together with the project partners in the form of user cases and user stories. In addition to the further development of the platform, self-learning modules will be created. Topics of these modules include e.g., chatbots, big data as a basis for geolocation and crowdfunding, the acceptance of AI tools, the acquisition of reflexive action competence, dealing with uncertainty and insecurities as entrepreneurship competence as well as vocational training and further education in the context of digitalization. Another self-learning module addresses cyber security, which is particularly important when handling personal ideas and sensitive data. The participants should therefore not only learn about technological tools and how to use them, but also about quality standards. At the end of the project, after sufficient testing and evaluation, the self-learning modules will be available online free of charge to all interested parties and thus also represent an important contribution to lifelong learning and the acquisition of digital skills. In order to ensure the correct and sustainable use of AI tools, those responsible need knowledge regarding acceptance and adaptation of these tools as well as the ability to reflect on the use of the tools. The ability to reflect is indispensable and therefore thematized in a special self-learning module. The teaching/learning objectives, the teaching/learning content, the methods and the teaching/learning control of the self-learning modules are to be assigned to level 5 and 6 of the European Qualifications Framework. On the basis of the self-learning modules, e.g., the IHK's, further education providers, business development agencies as well as universities in other EU countries are to offer a professional certificate program. The potential target groups and relevant organizations will be involved in the development and testing of the self-learning modules.Another goal is to expand the use of AI tools in corporate training and continuing education. Here, the international network of the Siepmann Media Group is used. With trade journals and conferences as well as workshops and B2B network meetings, Siepmann Media reaches approximately 2,500 participants in Europe every year.At the end of the project, the learning platform will also be available on the homepage of the department ""Quality Assurance in Operational Change Processes"". With the help of the learning platform, the spatial and temporal limits of acquiring the required digital competences are to be overcome. This is done on the basis of the DigCompEdu Framework (European Framework for the Digital Competence of Teachers). With the help of the learning platform, the self-learning modules and the training courses, those responsible for education are given the opportunity to test and expand their competences with regard to the use of digital media for educational offers."

Not only shall the self-employed and company founders have the appropriate skills, but also on their parts companies rely on entrepreneurial thinking because of the ever-increasing pressure to create innovations. Comprehensive vocational training does therefore not have to disregard the field of entrepreneurship education. One oft he project’s aim is therefore to develop a holistic entrepreneurship education-concept consisting of several identified best practices in order to comprehensively address the areas of the EntreComp framework. Digital change will be taken into account and the potential of digital media and media-supported forms of learning will be taken up in order to promote a tested set of instruments for measuring and promoting entrepreneurial skills among young people. The concept will be implemented on a digital platform that promotes collaborative and reflected learning among young people as well as educational staff and supports project management in the application of the instruments (organisation, monitoring and control). Subsequently, the platform-based application of the holistic entrepreneurship education-concept will be tested in the partner countries. The teaching philosophy behind the project is strength orientation. The application of this principle proves to be advantageous both for the development of competences of young people and for managers. Digital media offer young people the opportunity to organize their own learning. The project’s aims is to address digitization issues, such as industry 4.0 and design thinking, and on this basis to develop autodidactic modules for multipliers. The autodidicatic modules qualify people who work with young people in vocational orientation or training for matters of Entrepreneurship Education and they contain material that can be directly used for the work with young people. By a central digital platform being attainable for the supervisors, the mentors and the young people not only project information in various depth, organizational references and applied learning materials of the holistic entrepreneurship education-concept can be retrieved, but the platform also enables a direct communication, effective feedback processes, a better quality management and above all suitable solutions for people involved. In this context, suitable means that content can be flexibly used in terms of time and space and researched according to the current needs of the individual or group. The organization of the different work phases (self-learning - interactive work phase - cooperation with the learning guide) can also be coordinated and carried out accordingly. The participants can write reports, share their experiences with potential other participants, search the database of learning guides for competent contacts. The partners significantly contribute to the project’s success by their expertise and as coordinators of local activities. In Hungary and Bulgaria, the Chambers of Industry and Commerce were found as partners. In Greece, a renowned IT company and a management consultancy were won as partners, and in Spain an organization for business development and in Italy the Department of Business and Law at Milano Bicocca University. Last but not least, the consortium will be further enhanced by the two associated partners, the Lippe zu Detmold Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. The project is coordinated by the Institute for Work Science (IAW) at Bochum Ruhr University. In the first step, the representatives of the respective partner country are trained in the transfer and application of the concept within the framework of the kick-off and a teaching/learning activity. In the total of all activities, the consortium will develop a series of intellectual outputs which will be applied beyond the project, which will be accessible to third parties and thus contribute to its impact and sustainability. The outputs are the holistic Entrepreneurship Education Concept and five autodidactic modules for self-study. The latter are to be established in the individual EU countries as a recognized certification program for so-called learning guides and are e.g. offered at the respective chambers and universities. In order to promote the project’s dissemination, impact, and sustainability, the project partners are to organize multiplier events in their countries in addition to the pilot application, where the holistic entrepreneurship education-concept, its application via the associated platform and the self-learning modules are presented and discussed.
