From a scientific standpoint, MaNaCa will focus on the structural and magnetic characterization of magnetic nanohybrids and their application for cancer therapy. The project's aim will be accomplished by networking IPR-NAS with two internationally-leading research organisations: the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in Greece and the University of Duisburg – Essen (UDE) in Germany. Throughout the project, the research partners will be supported for management ad dissemination by Intelligentsia Consultants Sàrl (INT), a consultancy company based in Luxembourg which has already collaborated on several occasions with the Widening partner. During the project, which will have a total duration of three years, the partners will carry out a research and innovation strategy with these objectives: 1. Stimulating scientific excellence and innovation capacity of IPR-NAS with regard to magnetic nanohybrids for cancer therapy. 2. Improve the career prospects of early stage researchers of IPR-NAS and the Twinning partners 3. Raise the research profile of IPR-NAS and the Twinning Partners In order to accomplish this task, the consortium partners will implement several actions through the project’s work packages: (WP1) exchange of senior researchers; (WP2) exchange of early stage researchers; and (WP3) dissemination and oureach. Project management (WP4) will be coordinated by IPR-NAS with the support of INT. In addition to staff exchanges, project's activities will include technical training, joint publications, joint participation to conferences, organization of summer schools, workshops and an international conference.

To achieve this aim, ASCLEPIUS will implement a research and innovation strategy over three years based upon five objectives: Objective 1: Conduct exploratory research on phage therapy for treating Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus. To achieve this aim, the 3 year project will build upon the existing strong research and innovation base of UMi and its twinning partners Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft e.V. IFF (Fraunhofer), Technische Universitaet Graz (TUGraz) and Intelligentsia Consultants (Intelligentsia). The UMi-TWINN project aims to boost UMi and twinning partners' scientific excellence and innovation capacity in logistics technologies, as well as implementing a research and innovation strategy focused on three sub-topics: 1. Design of logistic systems and networks; 2. Intelligent transport systems; 3. Dynamical analysis of materials handling machines. The research and innovation strategy takes into account the recent SWOT analysis of UMi as well as the national Hungarian research priorities and regional Smart Specialisation Strategy . To achieve this aim, the 3 year project will build upon the existing strong research and innovation base of TUCN and its twinning partners Loughborough University (LbU), FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences (ACUAS) and Intelligentsia Consultants (Intelligentsia). The AMaTUC project aims to boost TUCN and twinning partners' scientific excellence and innovation capacity in additive manufacturing, as well as implementing a research and innovation strategy focused on three sub-topics: 1. Improve existing AM technologies, 2. Integrate the AM technologies with suitable Rapid Tooling methods, and 3. Design for competitive manufacturing of personalised products and computer planning (CAE-FEM) analysis and simulation The research and innovation strategy takes into account the recent SWOT analysis of TUCN as well as the national Romanian research priorities and Smart Specialisation Strategy. The specific objectives of the AMaTUC project are presented below: • Objective 1: Strengthen TUCN’s research excellence in AM • Objective 2: Enhance the research and innovation capacity of TUCN and Twinning partners • Objective 3: Raise the research profile of TUCN and the Twinning Partners • Objective 4: Contribute to the research and innovation priorities of Romania • Objective 5: Support research and innovation on a European level
