assignment_turned_in Project2022 - 2024Partners:Rotterdam University of Applied SciencesRotterdam University of Applied SciencesFunder: Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) Project Code: KIEM.CIE.06.021The Dutch agricultural sector searches for new ways to profitably utilize residual/side flows in sustainable development towards a Circular Economy. In the medical sector new therapeutic approaches are greatly needed, especially for diseases with an unmet medical need like infectious diseases with antibiotic resistance and bone metastatic cancer. Solutions may come from plant-derived compounds as potential therapeutics. In this research project the Dutch Extract Library will therefore be screened for plant compounds with antimicrobial- and/or anticancer properties in model systems developed for these diseases. Goal is to develop knowledge and innovative technology to provide Biobased products and new revenue models.

Almost every company possess enormous data. Data has been deemed to be the fundamental of digital transformation; they can be converted, directly or indirectly, into substantial values. This value creation process is referred to as data monetisation. Based on our previous research findings, many executives are aware of the potential of data. However, they do not know how to unlock the values of data. This project attempts to demonstrate how SMEs can monetise data and develop a data monetisation strategy to pursue their organisational goals.
