Almost every day new digital technologies are developed or evolve from existing ones, changing human behavior in social, educational, working and many other fields. The pace at which innovation moves is so fast that it leaves behind some portions of the population, especially older population groups or the people that for some reason left their studies at an early age. Nevertheless, even in highly educated population groups digital knowledge is often at a very low or inexistent level. One of the fields that has undergone an exceptional amount of changes caused by this phenomenon called DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION, is labor field, in which the ever-growing use of digital technologies is creating the risk for some sectors to be left behind and to become obsolete and outdated.<< Objectives >>OFFSET intends to foster the acquisition of digital and entrepreneurial skills for handcrafting entrepreneurs and handicraftsmen, affecting both the educational and digital society themes of the “Europe 2020 Strategy” COM(2010) 2020 final, and following the indications given by the “Digital Education Action Plan” COM(2018) 22 final. To achieve what stated above, OFFSET will respond to the following general and specific objectives:GENERAL OBJECTIVE:- Facilitate the passage through the digital transformation for handcrafting entrepreneurs (present and potential), making them able to use digital skills and transforming them into digital artisans, through their participation to VET trainings.SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:1 - Train the trainers: Producing a collection of best practices and educational materials to fill digital and entrepreneurial knowledge gaps for handcrafting VET trainers and business coaches 2 - Create/enhance handcrafting entrepreneurs’ digital and entrepreneurial skills and competencies3 - Improve the awareness of present handcrafting entrepreneurs and investors on the possibilities offered by digital technologies and instruments implementation in handcrafting sector<< Implementation >>OFFSET project includes 4 Work Packages, namely:Work Package 1 - Project managementA1.1 Financial GuidelinesA1.2 Partner AgreementsA1.3 Communication Board IdentificationA1.4 Selection of TargetsA1.5 Monitoring and Evaluation PlanA1.6 Project ReportingA1.7 Conflict resolutionsA1.8 Planning of Future MeetingsWork Package 2 - Communication and DisseminationA2.1 Communication and Dissemination planA2.2 Communication templates and graphicsA2.3 Project websiteA2.4 Communication an Dissemination activitiesWork Package 3 - Development of Project Result 1: OFFSET – Training Course MaterialA3.1 Creation of course content: Digitalized Business - Handcrafting. more_vert assignment_turned_in ProjectPartners:Lidi Smart Solutions, COOPERATION BANCAIRE POUR L'EUROPE, Malta Stock Exchange Institute Ltd, FVB S.R.L, FONDAZIONE LUIGI CLERICILidi Smart Solutions,COOPERATION BANCAIRE POUR L'EUROPE,Malta Stock Exchange Institute Ltd,FVB S.R.L,FONDAZIONE LUIGI CLERICIFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2019-1-MT01-KA202-051255Funder Contribution: 216,638 EUR"The project TRANSITION wishes to create and innovate teaching materials aimed at three crucial components of the entrepreneurial ecosystem: potential startup founders, entrepreneurial trainers/coaches working in business support organizations(accelerators, incubators, development agencies) and current entrepreneurs. These three categories need to be up to date with innovative technology trends and Blockchain is probably the one tech revolution that most probably will change all the aspects of the business world forever. All three actors of the entrepreneurial ecosystem must take part in the digital evolution of processes (production, certification, payment, delivery, etc.) thus the adoption of Digital Ledger technologies and Blockchain among these categories will affect the system in three complementary ways: 1) Potential entrepreneurs will integrate a general and fundamental knowledge of entrepreneurship skills and competencies (Second Intellectual Output) while at the same time being acquainted with the new opportunities offered by this new technology to start a new business following this trend or integrating the technology into their own idea. 2) Current entrepreneurs will enlarge their opportunity horizon about what DLTs can do for their current business, improving the versatility and growth capability of the enterprise ecosystem.3) Entrepreneurial trainers and coaches will have new teaching material to better train their startups/young entrepreneurs, causing this improvement in knowledge to resonate not only on people already committed to starting a business but also toward the future generation of startup founders. The project will produce three outputs, namely:IO1 - Blockchain Knowledge SpaceIt will be a structured repository of useful ""knowledge items"" concerning Blockchain, both as a technology and as an application in the different business areas.Items will be divided by different parameters: type of item (i.e. article, academic paper, MOOC, etc.) language, difficulty level(Basic, intermediate, advanced. Difficulty level of each item will be assessed by the scientific committee) and any other parameter will be deemed useful by the consortium. The BKS will have a manual filter to select the most interesting items for the user by selecting one or more of the aforementioned parameters.O2 Entrepreneurial Starter SetThe Entrepreneurial Starter Set will be the foundation for the training course to align anyone interested in the fundamental competencies to develop when starting a business. This will be a general purpose part of the training material produced by this project, specially produced for potential entrepreneurs to make sure they can foster or refresh a very well defined skill set to survive when making their first step on the market. O3 The Blockchain Entrepreneur KitThe output will be the core activity of the scientific partners of TRANSITION who, along with the VET provider, will design and elaborate the training materials concerning Blockchain for startup coaches / Entrepreneurial trainers, current and new entrepreneurs. The teaching/training materials will give a different take on who is the main target of the teaching/training effort by training the trainers, empowering their ability to grow startups and help startup owners from the very beginning to the potential accession to markets. Current entrepreneurs, on the other hand, will be encouraged to learn how blockchain is used and how they could use it to improve or reshape completely their business model."

Activate, involve youth in solving environmental issues, which have harmful effects of human activities as the next generation will basically design our future and the future of a whole planet and empower Youth Workers to help counter the dramatic increase of unemployment situations among young people – with the mission to generate educational value, green employment horizons for long-term capacity building, from the dynamic interaction between these two groups. As stated by the European Commission, social innovation is not something you do to citizens but with citizens. As EU citizens, we all have a duty to protect and improve the environment because it means living better. Numerous aspects of our daily life are directly related to the environment: children's asthma, floods, traffic congestion, the dream of a clean beach, etc. The environment and climate change is priority for the protection of the environment. Youth must be aware of the negative impacts climate change (DG CLIMA, EIONETsdg13_50) has for individual and community health as they are the generation who will suffer the greater consequences (Arjen Wals), thus they must have more say in environmental decisions and policies. Turning the spotlight on the growing urgency of the climate crisis was highlighted by Fridays for Future movement that took off, leading to an increasing number of young people around the world to participate with this intention. Fighting climate change is ""the challenge that will define our generation, a political and moral obligation"": (President of EU Commission) continues to reiterate the centrality of the environment in the action of his Executive. Therefore green growth is at the heart of EU policy to ensure that Europe’s economic growth is environmentally sustainable. EU, in the last 30 years has multiplied its initiatives: policies, regulations, controls, anti-pollution interventions, research on environmental innovations, awareness actions etc. Youth will primly benefit from entrepreneurial learning. Whether or not they go on to create green businesses, social or other enterprises, young people who benefit from entrepreneurial learning, develop business knowledge, essential skills including digital, green and attitudes including creativity, initiative, tenacity, teamwork, understanding of risk and a sense of responsibility. This is the entrepreneurial mind-set that helps entrepreneurs transform ideas into action.EU 2020 strategy for growth aims to create ""smart, sustainable and inclusive growth"", and have set clear objectives to guide European environment policy until 2020 and a vision beyond that, of where to be by 2050: protect, conserve and enhance the EU’s natural capital, turn the EU into a resource-efficient, green, and competitive low-carbon economy; and safeguard EU citizens from environment-related pressures and risks to health and wellbeing.Furthermore, environmental protection and innovation help to create new business and employment opportunities, which stimulate further investment. UN Environment Program for the green economy translates into ""an improvement in human beings and social equity, significantly reducing environmental risks and ecological scarcities.Green startups represent the major driver of change, transformation of the global economy towards a more sustainable economic model. It is essential for young Europeans to understand the importance of active engagement in the protection of the environment, and that green business are an opportunity to find jobs and help make the world a better place.<< Objectives >>Becoming the world’s first climate-neutral continent by 2050 is the greatest challenge and opportunity of our times. To achieve this, the EU Commission presented the EU Green Deal, the most ambitious package of measures that should enable European citizens and businesses to benefit from the sustainable green transition. The project aims to improve global environmental standards, stresses the need to empower youth workers who will then empower youth in eco-friendly entrepreneurship, fast track to transition in the green economy not only to restore after the pandemic but to provide new opportunities to the younger generations, with more collaborative business models. Green startups find their natural outlet in different sectors.Among the most receptive areas to start green startups we find the sustainable tourism, cultural and creative industries, urban revitalisation based on heritage, important economic sub-sectors capable of generating employment, stimulating local development, and promoting creativity. The new generation will be trained on the potential growth in green alternative tourism, innovation in agriculture and food chains. However, there is an untapped potential to take a path that can create other green jobs. Green companies need qualified personnel in order to expand their markets who very often fail to meet their demand.Climate change is here but not everyone can feel the impact yet. Youth workers turn to digital technologies to help youth better “experience” it. With our Green Online Game, youth will feel the impact of climate change with well-explained illustrated ways in order to be mobilised to fight the climate crisis. more_vert assignment_turned_in ProjectPartners:Fondazione Istituto dei Sordi di Torino ONLUS, e-Nable Greece, European Development Foundation, Lidi Smart Solutions, Associacio Programes Educatius Open Europe +1 partnersFondazione Istituto dei Sordi di Torino ONLUS,e-Nable Greece,European Development Foundation,Lidi Smart Solutions,Associacio Programes Educatius Open Europe,TULFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2021-1-PL01-KA220-ADU-000035164Funder Contribution: 231,694 EUR<< Background >>The use of robots to help adult learners is a relatively new field, which has shown interesting results. Robots have been developed to support a wide range of educational activities, including training for specific skills, language learning, vocational education, continuing professional development and others. Specific robotic devices have been developed to aid learners with disabilities as well, including developmental, learning and sensory disabilities, communication disorders, emotional and behavioural disorders and physical impairments. Research has shown that some of them have demonstrated promising outcomes in aiding the educational outcomes of learners. Most of the research to date pertains to the use of educational robots in school education for children and few projects or initiatives have focused attention on adult education, despite the potential benefits. This project is going to address this gap and bridge the divide between the education and the robotics sectors, which is currently wide, as the sectors are lacking communication and common ground between each other. The HEART project has four target groups. The first group is educators in the adult education sector, who are responsible for teaching and training adults. Their needs are related to applying innovative approaches to reach their students with the teaching material. For educators who want to use robots with adult learners, there is no overview of what is available on the market and how they should make use of it. This project will conduct a systematic review of the currently available technology and produce outputs that will support educators to improve their capacity to use robotics technology in their work. The second group is educators and professionals who focus specifically on adult learners with disabilities, with this group comprising primarily of teachers and trainers, but also including other specialists, for example occupational therapists, counsellors and others. Their needs are also related to the most effective methods which they can use to meet the specific learning needs of the learners they are working with. The third group comprises of experts from the partner organisations who will be trained as mentors and will be able to support the first two target groups in their direct work with adult learners. The fourth group is specialists in the Higher Education sector - teachers, lecturers, educators, researchers and other specialists who work in the Robotics departments of universities, specialising in educational robotics. The project will support them in connecting the field of robotics with the field of education and contribute to the development of academic know-how in this area, which these specialists can use in their work.<< Objectives >>The overall aim of the HEART project is to increase the capacities of the adult education systems in the partner countries to meaningfully engage adult learners with education and training through the use of robotics technology. The project also aims to contribute to the social inclusion of learners with disabilities by increasing the capacity of educators who work with them. The specific objectives of the HEART project are:O1: Improve the capacity of educators to provide education and training to adult learners through the use of robotics technology.O2: Improve the capacity of educators to provide education and training that is specific to the needs of learners with disabilities through the use of robotics technology.O3: Map out the field of educational robotics and enhance the understanding of the interconnections between technologies and practices, relevant to the needs of adult learners. O4: Create an international network of trainers and educators with a specific knowledge in the field of educational robotics in the partner countries. O5: Increase synergies between the adult education, the higher education and the robotics sectors through more targeted use of robotics technologies. O6: Increased capacity of the partners from the different project countries and enhanced cooperation between them.<< Implementation >>The core activities for the achievement of the objectives are as follows:A1 – MAPPING AND DATABASE DEVELOPMENT: The partners will carry out mapping of the robotic devices that are available on the market and their use for supporting adult education, including education for persons with disabilities. The mapping will include good practices on how the robots have been used in practice. The activity will be carried out mostly through desk research and stakeholder interviews. As a result of the mapping, a searchable database with a range of criteria will be developed and published as an online tool. A2 – GUIDE FOR USING THE DATABASE: The partners will develop a guide to complement the database, which will present the concepts, the selection criteria when searching a needed device, descriptions of all the devices and learning scenarios, in which they can be used. The guide will also include a set of competences that educators need in order to use robots to support educational outcomes. A3 – METHODOLOGY. The partners will develop a methodology for the training course, the purpose of which is to ensure that all the training modules are developed following a similar structure and in a way that meets the needs of the target groups. A4 – ONLINE TRAINING COURSE: The partners will develop a web-based training course, consisting of 6 modules, aimed at the target groups to enhance their capacity to use robots for adult education. Videos, animations and case studies will be used to present the information in a way that is easy to understand for a non-technical audience. The specific modules will be dedicated to different areas of adult education, with at least two of them focusing on robots for persons with disabilities. The training will include resources and quizzes that the participants must take in order to obtain certification.A5 – PILOTING: The partners will carry out the piloting of the online training course in order to ensure that it meets the needs of the target groups. A6 – TRAINING FOR TRAINERS: The partners will carry out a training for trainers, which will prepare them to support the target groups in their use of robots to support adult learners. This will create a trained pool of experts and improve the capacities of the partners. A7 – INTEGRATING FEEDBACK: Based on the feedback received from the LTT and the piloting, the partners will produce the final version of the online training course. A8 – WEBINARS: The partners will carry out a cycle of 6 webinars, 1 in each country, with the purpose of presenting the database and the training to local audiences. In addition to the dissemination effect, the activity will have the added value of creating synergies between all relevant local stakeholders – adult education establishments, trainers, government agencies, researchers, NGOs and industry professionals – in order to stimulate discussion on the use of robotics and technological innovations in adult education.A9 – INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE: An international conference will be held at the end of the project, which will serve to inform about the project results. In addition to these core activities, the partners will carry out support activities, including project management and coordination; monitoring, evaluation and quality assurance; and sharing and promotion activities.<< Results >>The following results will be achieved during the project:1. Completed mapping of the uses of robotics technology to support adult learners, including learners with disabilities, with a created searchable online database;2. Produced guide for the target groups on the use of robots to support learners, to be used alongside the online database;3.
