The Technology Transfer Office Circle, launched by the EC in 2011, analyzed the Technology Transfer (TT) in Europe concluding that:“It is anticipated that the next decade will see profound changes in this landscape. Studies have identified the lack of scale as one of the major issues of technology transfer”. So Technology Transfer, is a prevailing topic. Though it’s a concept as old as ancient Greece, Archimedes could be the first Technology Broker in history, the reality is that it is still needed to overcome barriers and face common challenges to improve the Technology Transfer process. TETRAGON will use the Twinning Advanced methodology to enhance SME’s innovation capacity by providing them with better innovation support in Technology Transfer. That is, provide better support to SMEs to improve TT from public research to the market. Due to the expertise of the consortium and the needs identified in their regions this project will be focused on the following models of Technology Transfer: 1) To foster an entrepreneurial environment at universities and research centers in order to increase the creation of spin-offs and to improve the exploitation of technology by existing companies. 2) To foster demand driven collaborative projects, between public researchers and private SMEs. 3) To look for innovative ways of licensing the technology, including open source, open innovation and user innovation. The project will have the support of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) in the Twinning Advanced Methodology. TETRAGON will help to place TT in the core of innovation, to improve the TT measures and the SMEs to grow, and, consequently, foster growth of the European economy. TETRAGON, aims at reaching almost 300 innovation agencies all over Europe, through networks as EURADA, and that 20% of this agencies adopte, at least, one of the new measures defined in the DOP, meanwhile establishing a Twinning Advanced ecosystem where agencies collaborate.

There is a strong call for entrepreneurial education, training and support for young people according to European youth employment policy. And so, there is a lack of training for teachers and professors how to teach entrepreneurial skills to young people and provide adequate training in entrepreneurship for students. We want to start an system change in the area of supporting entrepreneurial education in pre-incubation phase in Europe. According to project plan and its partners, we want to prepare set of tools which can be international, because the topic of youth unemployment is the European topic. We set up project partners to gain this goal. The aim of the project will be to make a research of the specifics of start-ups of students and young people (including foreign and migrant students), the application of not only foreigners in the business environment of regions affected by depopulation. The aim is produced several outputs such us to design and develop an evaluation tool that will measure entrepreneurial potential and improve entrepreneurial skills and abilities, thereby increasing students' entrepreneurial potential (including a possible benchmark with EU universities). This activity will also include defining parameters for start-up entrepreneurs and defining areas for evaluating the business process (for evaluating entrepreneurial potential). Another goal and also project output is to create and manage a network of students interested in entrepreneurship or those who will have identified potential for business activities. Sharing experiences from partner countries will also be included. Next output then will include the creation of a soft-landing portal not only for international students and young migrating people (similar to the buddy system, but adapted for entrepreneurship). Depending on the objectives and subject of the project, it will also include the design of communication tools, ie the best (optimal) way to communicate initiative, creativity and entrepreneurship at university (the creation of communication groups on social networks to be promoted at universities and/or high schools) - a moderated discussion will also be included, as well as a proposal for a sustainable support for development of students and young people business and development of universities students and young people to do business and develop their entrepreneurial skills and abilities. As another output there will be created case studies of student´s entrepreneur projects in individual partner countries - in the Czech Republic, Poland and Spain. The project is lead by Tomas Bata University in Zlín. Its partners are the Technology Innovation Centre Zlín, Uniewersytet Szczecinski and Universidad Catolica Santa Teresa de Jesus de Avila. Nonprofit partner is member of European Parliament Parliment Michaela Šojdrová.Project duration: 3 years. There will be dissemination event Barcamp „Entrepreneurship of young people“ by the end of project (Open conference of young entrepreneurs and other stakeholders, promoting outcomes and experience of the project, build a community of stakeholders in the area of entrepreneurial training for young people, disseminate outcomes of project namely the methodology and case study). All outcomes will be available to any stakeholder.
