POINT.IoT combines the strengths of EGNSS with the growing importance of IoT devices in our daily life in a make-it-work approach, organised by leading companies in their field, such as Verhaert, SpaceTec Partners, Cesah and Orange. The POINT.Cheetah programme scouts and selects 20 new IoT applications using GNSS technologies for a combined 3-month technical and business sprint with a multidisciplinary team of mentors. Each selected application receives on average 80 hours of support. The business sprint ensures the maturation of the innovative usages of GNSS/IoT for investors, whereas the technical sprint is a combination of technical coaching and hands-on product development support. The programme focusses on a rapid development of 20 demos for early technical validation. The top-2 teams receive a prize of EUR 20,000 each. The POINT.Kangeroo programme supports the teams with business training tools. The POINT.IoT Entrepreneur Playbook guides the sprints that the teams and mentors undertake but can help any GNSS/IoT developer in a do-it-yourself sprint. The POINT.MOOC teaches the business basics in a modern and interactive manner with a Massive Open Online Course. Each year the POINT.IoT track at a leading investor event allows the top-5 teams to pitch their business to a panel of investors and corporates. The selected teams receive one-on-one investor readiness training to enhance their success rate. The POINT.Partnerships programme develops the narrative and guides the implementation of a partnership programme between POINT.IoT teams and industrial stakeholders as development partners, suppliers, clients or investors. The POINT.IoT Success & Inspiration Stories form the basis of discussion with GNSS/IoT stakeholders, and showcases successful GNSS/IoT solutions. The partnership matchmaking helps the POINT.IoT portfolio companies to have an easy access to leading IoT brands, for validation, partnering, business development or sales.

InnORBIT will support 50 start-ups and scale-ups to grow and commercialise their space solutions via 20 sustainable and effective initiatives. We focus on SEE and CEE countries with vibrant tech ecosystems and industry verticals with great potential for contributing to the commercialisation of space. We anchor our initiatives to innovation intermediaries well-embedded in their ecosystems, starting with a pivotal space technology and industry association in Romania, an intermediary managing 3 high-tech clusters in Greece and a major digital innovation hub in Croatia. Alongside them we co-develop our solutions: a business support programme to help space entrepreneurs in starting and scaling-up their commercial activities and a capacity building programme for training intermediaries to set up and run local initiatives. We then ?train their trainers? and support them to scout, screen and select the start-ups and scale-ups to participate in the initiatives, emphasising the ones with the most promising potential for application areas (e.g. Galileo, Copernicus) or spinning-in/-out. Well-trained experts will assess their needs and co-define the services required for catalysing their growth in synergy with EU actions. Our service portfolio includes trainings, mentoring, networking and support to access financing and funding opportunities. A monitoring and evaluation framework will allow us to collect ample evidence on the performance of our solutions, improve them and follow up to train and engage additional intermediaries in SEE and CEE. We will support over 20 intermediaries to generate their own local initiatives, openly demonstrating and proving the replication potential of our solutions. We will then pack our solutions along with business models and lessons learnt into a replication guide, enabling other intermediaries to replicate them, while also delivering recommendations for more enabling environments and innovative financial support frames for space innovation.

The GNSS.asia initiative has been supporting EU industry and driving EGNSS adoption in Asia since 2012. Being home to half of the world’s population and to major global GNSS-electronics manufacturers alike, Asia holds importance both as a GNSS market and as a supplier. The European GNSS industry is often stuck in niche markets within the EU, as SME’s LACK THE IN-HOUSE RESOURCES to systematically address international markets. Larger companies STRUGGLE with exporting to Asia when a POLITICAL or INSTITUTIONAL DIMENSIONS come into play. The Space Strategy for Europe explicitly highlighted the need to STRENGTHEN THE INDUSTRY’S COMPETITIVENESS, to intensify international cooperation, and to upgrade its capability to conduct ECONOMIC DIPLOMACY. After five years GNSS.ASIA has established itself as A KEY PLAYER IN ASIAN GNSS ECO-SYSTEMS, as a credible broker for Multi-GNSS opportunities and as a PROFESSIONAL NETWORK FOR GNSS in the multi-GNSS hotspot Asia. The UNIQUE PLATFORM FOR SUPPORTING INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION in GNSS is a proven outreach tool for EGNSS with measurable successes to date. It serves a community of EU industrial partners, flags new trends, prepares the ground for EU institutions’ relations work in Asia and is also recognised as a trusted partner by Asian industry, institutions and associations. Building upon these successes, GNSS.asia is now preparing for its third edition (GNSS.asia3): Evolving its services suite to reflect the current priorities of EGNSS by: - LEVERAGING INDUSTRIAL COOPERATION across continents, - SUPPORTING INSTITUTIONAL RELATIONS and ECONOMIC DIPLOMACY ACTIVITIES - DRIVE EGNSS ADOPTION IN ASIA. The budget could be reduced by 30%, despite a 2-month longer duration and same geographic reach. The WELL ESTABLISHED AND HIGHLY COMMITTED TEAM of European and Asian professionals in India, China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and South-East Asia will provide a return on investment in terms of capacity built, awareness raised and industry supported.
