    "Club for Youth Empowerment 018 (KOM 018), Serbia implemented the project ""Creativity Creates Change"" within Erasmus + program - the Capacity Building in The Field of Youth action, with its partners: Council for Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency (SPPMD) – Macedonia, International Development Alliance – Bulgaria, Red Cross Novo Sarajevo – Bosnia and Herzegovina, Do-Lo-Ri – Albania, Greenways SCE – Greece, Eurobug – Ireland and Du vent dans les cordes ASBL (DVDLC) – Belgium, bringing together young people from 8 countries to explore the creative methods used in youth work in different parts of Europe and how they can be used in the combat against hate speech. The idea of having such diverse range of organizations such as youth organizations, cultural organization, social corporate enterprise, organization in the training field, is to establish strategic cooperation as different types of organizations can bring different experience and expertise in the project.Aim:To improve and strengthening European youth cooperation among organizations from 8 countriesObjectives• To provide 24 youth workers and volunteers with the knowledge, skills and competences to use creative methods in youth work • To increase the skills and competences of 24 youth workers and volunteers about the combat against hate speech online and the use of the creative methods in the promotion of this issue • To develop new forms of creative youth work • To educate 24 youth workers and volunteers to plan and organize awareness raising campaign using the creative tools designed through local workshops previously done • To launch and test new methods through awareness campaign about the problem of hate speech online Implemented activities in the project were:1. Capacity building activity 1: Coordination meeting 2. Mobility activity 1: Training course 1 3. Capacity building activity 2: development of information, communication and media tools 4. Mobility activity 2: Training course 25. Capacity building activity 3: information and awareness campaigns 6. Capacity building activity 4: Dissemination, distribution and multiplication.7. Capacity building activity 5: Final conference Through set of capacity building and mobility activities partner organization discussed and learned how urban art and board games can be used in the work with young people and how this art can be used in the promotional and awareness campaigns. Specific methods used: hip hop dance, hip hop music, photography, graphics (graffiti, comics, stencils, illustrations) and board games. Youth workers and volunteers were educated how to use these specific methods in work with youth promoting combat against hate speech online. There were two Mobility of Youth Workers - TC 1 was organized in Greece and TC 2 in Serbia, while capacity building activities were organized in 8 participating countries. Project ""Creativity Creates Change"" was implemented from 1st March 2016 till 31st May 2017.Today, there is the increased number of the joint youth initiatives and projects coming from this region of Europe thanks to the support of the Erasmus + Program. Project is recognized by the national authorities in the Western Balkan countries, so today organizations involved in this project are also involved in RYCO process. 8 partner organizations have the increased competences to implement youth projects for the inclusion of youngsters with fewer opportunities and integration with their peers of a high quality value while coherent and unified approach for development of new creative methods for youth work is created."

Multiplier and dissemination events<< Results >>The project will deliver guidelines for youth workers and educators on media literacy and combat against oppressive narratives using creativity to produce artistic and creative narratives.Guidelines will introduce narratives, media literacy and problem of oppressive media content. It will deliver creative tools aimed at young people in the form of video tutorials.The tutorials bring closer information on media literacy, how to recognize fake news and how to do fact checking to young people.

    "Project “Safebook” will be implemented in the partnership between Club for Youth Empowerment 018 (KOM 18) from Nis-Serbia, Association Beyond borders from Puglia- Italy, Council for Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency (SPPMD) from Kavadarci – North Macedonia and Impress from Daruvar - Croatia in the period 01.03.2021- 28.02.2022. The problems of youth safety are common in 4 countries. What is also common is the role that youth organizations (consortium organizations but also NGOs at the local and national level) have in working on these issues and serving as the bridge between young people and institutions. Having a bigger outreach through non-formal education, the role of youth organizations and youth workers is of a great importance. That is why this project will deal with the safety issues of young people in 4 countries through empowerment of youth workers and educators and development of innovative methods to raise the awareness about important issues. Newly developed tools will focus on 5 segments: peer violence, cyber bullying, abuse of psychoactive substances, discrimination and mental health in time of COVID–19General objective: To contribute to the development of a safety culture of young people Specific objectives: •To develop new methods of youth work in the field of youth safety•To equip youth workers and educators with set of new educational tools in the field of youth safety •To raise the awareness about safety issues in local communities in 4 countriesPlanned activities:1.Transnational Projects Meeting 1 - Coordination meeting - will be organized in Nis, Serbia in March 20212. Development of Intellectual Output – “Safebook” manual - 4 partner organizations and experts and youth workers coming from these 4 organizations will develop “Safebook” manual focusing on 5 segments of youth safety: peer violence, cyber bullying, abuse of psychoactive substances, discrimination and mental health of young people in the period of COVID – 19. In this way the project will result in the increased number of methodologies for youth workers/educators working in the field of youth safety and improved quality of youth work methods in 4 participating countries. Period: April / August 20213. Mid - evaluation meeting - will be organized online with the project coordination team in August 20214.Testing the new methods - Local workshops – partners’ experts and youth workers who created the “Safebook” manual will test the manual and organize local workshops in Serbia, Croatia, North Macedonia and Italy to test newly adopted methods working with youth workers and young people (20 per country). In this way the quality and applicability of the workshops will be checked while at the same time youth workers and educators will be equipped with set of new educational tools in the field of youth safety. Period: September / November 20215. Multiplier events – Every partner organization will organize 1 multiplier event that will include at least 20 youth workers, educators and activities outside the partner organization. This activity will increase the use of the newly developed “Safebook” manual and at the same time raise the awareness about youth safety in local communities of the project. Period: November 2021/January 20226.Transnational Projects Meeting 2 - Final evaluation meeting -will be organized in Orta Nova, Italy in February 2022Main expected result of the ""Safebook"" project and its activities is to develop and transfer new and innovative methodology and creative tools and to incorporate them in new and youth friendly manual for youth workers in the field of youth safety and security. Through development of this manual new opportunities for promotion and advancement of the certain areas in non-formal education but also in other sectors such as formal education and sport sectors, like prevention of discrimination, peer violence, cyber bulling and abuse of psychoactive substances as well as protection of mental health of youth during COVID-19 will arise from multiplication and dissemination of the mentioned manual. Another very important expected result upon the project completion is to have significant increase in capacity building activities and projects which are aiming at building the capacities of youth workers, peer educators, volunteers and activists in the areas which are the topic of this project. Finally, one of the expected results is the involvement of other youth NGOs and relevant institutions in the use of the newly developed tools. Project activities will have one final result in the form of well written, youth friendly and innovative manual for youth workers in the field of youth safety. The manual will later be promoted among NGOs, youth workers and peer educators not only from Serbia, North Macedonia, Italy and Croatia, but also from other EU and non-EU countries in order to transfer new and fresh ideas for implementation of projects concerning the potential risks of youth safety"

    << Background >>Together for Tackling Cyberbullying (TOC) is a 24-month Strategic Partnership in the field of Youth aiming at raising awareness about Cyberbullying as well as at preventing violence among young people. According to UNICEF “Cyberbullying is bullying with the use of digital technologies. It can take place on social media, messaging platforms, gaming platforms and mobile phones. It is repeated behaviour, aimed at scaring, angering, or shaming those who are targeted… Face-to-face bullying and cyberbullying can often happen alongside each other. But cyberbullying leaves a digital footprint – a record that can prove useful and provide evidence to help stop the abuse.”The innovation of the TOC project is directly attributable to the following elements:CONSORTIUM All partners involved in the Consortium have experienced in implementing project at local and International level. TOC partners are actively engaged in combating the social exclusion of young people and raising awareness in the community regarding the issues of Cyberbullying among young people.APPROACH Preventing cyberbullying among young people is a challenging process. In fact, there can be no healthy society without attitudes of awareness and tolerance and critical thinking skills.TOC involves both the direct target groups of youth workers and young people. It is certainly important to improve the quality of youth work on the topic of Cyberbullying. In addition, it is important to actively involve young people as learners and as real protagonists of social change by fighting against Cyberbullying.<< Objectives >>During the cooperation, the consortium will pursue the following objectives:•Design a Training Format targeted at youth workers and organizations for tackling Cyberbullying amongst young people•Develop a new innovative methodology to prevent cyberbullying, based on Digital Storytelling, Critical thinking, and Digital Skills.•Promote the development of civic competences and the respect of human rights amongst youth community in all Europe, especially at the consortium level•Foster active citizenship, self-confidence, and sense of community amongst young people.•Implement a local activity programmes to reach the TOC’s target groups TOC’s direct target group is:•Joint Staff youth workers aged 18+ who have experience working with young people.•BMYP young people (18-25 y/o) who are/were victims of cyberbullying and want to raise awareness about this problem and prevent those attacks The indirect target group is young people and communities affected by episodes of Cyberbullying.<< Implementation >>METHODOLOGYThe project will develop a brand-new educational methodology rooted in Digital Storytelling Digital skills and Critical thinking, being for the first time complementary to each other.The choice has fallen on the above-mentioned methodologies and competences because their combination will contribute on having a direct effect/impact at national and international level.During the cooperation, the consortium will pursue the following objectives:•Design a Training Format targeted at youth workers and organizations for tackling Cyberbullying amongst young people•Develop a new innovative methodology to prevent cyberbullying, based on Digital Storytelling, Critical thinking, and Digital Skills. •Promote the development of civic competences and the respect of human rights amongst youth community in all Europe, especially at the consortium level•Foster active citizenship, self-confidence, and sense of community amongst young people.•Implement a local activity programmes to reach the TOC’s target groups TOC’s direct target group is:•Joint Staff youth workers aged 18+ who have experience working with young people.•BMYP young people (18-25 y/o) who are/were victims of cyberbullying and want to raise awareness about this problem and prevent those attacks The indirect target group is young people and communities affected by episodes of Cyberbullying.Activities:3 - transnational projects meeting is foreseen to coordinate amongst partners:1 - Joint Staff “Cyberbullying NO thank you”- TOC International Testing Mobility. It will last 5 full days of activity and it will involve youth workers who are interested in learning more about how to tackle Cyberbullying. A total of 18 will be part of the mobility. 3 participants per each organization partners1 - Blended Mobility for Young People “Be a Guardian Angel” will be implemented. This will last 5 full days of activity. Participants will be young people aged 18-25 who are/were victims of Cyberbullying attacks and want to raise awareness about it and prevent those attacks.1 - Multiplier Events in each country organization<< Results >>RESULTSR1 “Preventing Cyberbullying” Training Format targeted at youth workers who works with young people and are concerned about the spreading of Cyberbullying amongst youngsters. R2 “All together against Cyberbullying” Toolkit targeted at an audience of young people who are/were victims of this phenomenaR3 “Sharing is caring” App- it will a downloadable application where young people can constantly share their stories and BMYPs’ participants can be the “Guardian Angel” and help them during this period. A section of the App will be reserved for parents who will need a guideline for preventing this phenomenon as well as helping parents deal with situations where their child is bullied, or She/ He is the bully.
