The main objective of this project is the cultural exchange and good teaching practices between two schools, Lycée René Descartes, in Rennes (France), and IES Kursaal, in Algeciras (Spain). Two groups of Secondary Education students and a commission of teachers of both schools will carry out a project to discover and promote European Cultural Heritage, in which the use of New Technologies and development of linguistic, cultural and digital competences will be mainly fostered. The characteristics of the participating schools make them complement each other, being their similarities and differences one of the most enriching aspects. IES Kursaal presents a clear scientific and technological profile and counts with a wide experience in ICT teaching and has taken part in different projects for years. Besides, we have a great interest in language teaching and we have lately recognised a necessity of improving speaking skills from all areas, as well as a lack of resources and misuse of the school library. The pedagogic project of Lycée René Descartes is based on language learning, being speaking one of the most practised skills and the good use and functioning of their library one of their main strengths. On the other hand, they have worked on the implementation of ICT as a subject over the past few years. The exchange of teaching practices will deal with these necessities and interests. The objectives of our project are:1. To promote European cultural awareness developing positive coexistence and international cooperation.2. To get to know and spread the Andalusian and Breton cultural heritage in all its forms.3. To boost language learning as a tool for the academic, personal and professional development.4. To improve their speaking competence.5. To share motivating methodological strategies that foster the use of new technologies and language learning.6. To acquire and improve their competences in using ICT tools in collaborative projects.7. To update and make use of the school library.A group of 30 students of the 4th Year of Secondary Education will participate in the project in the academic year 2019/2020 and a group of 25 students of Post-Compulsory Secondary Education during 2020/2021. They are heterogeneus groups of students. The Spanish students are highly motivated towards technological projects, whereas the French students choose to study in a language-oriented school. Both Spanish and French students study two foreign languages from early ages. All the activities in this project contribute to getting to know and spreading European cultural heritage, taking advantage of technological tools and language learning. Activities and results are summarised below:- Stays abroad (France and Spain)- Developing a prototype of an augmented reality application to get to know the archaeologist heritage actively- Creating a digital guide about heritage- Developing an application for mobile devices to discover and spread heritage- Videotutorials and guides about the methodology in technological projects- Working plan of the library- Creating different types of audiovisual projects on learning language methology, focusing on speaking- creating and implementing an integrated didactic unit- Creating a short film about the heritage in Algeciras/Rennes- Stage plays- Oral presentations of the project for our educational community and others- Publishing and promoting the project, printed and digitally through different broadcast channels- Evaluating the project and creating the sustainability planRegarding methodology, the student's autonomy and personal initiative will be promoted. They will become the protagonists of their own learning process (“learning by doing”) and teachers will be a guide, as well as a learner from our foreign colleagues, the activities designed together and the results achieved. After accomplishing this project, its impact will be reflected in the following benefits:- Improving our students' and teachers' competences.- Promoting coexistence and international cooperation.- Recognising the cultural identity and the feeling of belonging to Europe.- Exchanging knowledge and experience.Participating in an international project that combines the past (cultural heritage) with today's European integrating approach and the technologies of the future favours our students' education as competent European citizens, contributing to the population's social wellbeing.

"The project ""The arts, federating European unity"" is an opportunity to link the national heritages of the participating countries to the European artistic movements, highlighting the ideas behind this artistic creation. The aim is to gradually build up in pupils the idea that Art is a bearer of meaning, values and a European identity. The idea is therefore to associate each artistic expression, proposed by the different schools, with European values. Starting with concrete objects or shows for the pupils, we must, over time, move towards a philosophical dimension by showing the ideas carried by each artistic expression. Art, through its evolutions, makes it possible to show the progressive construction of the European idea.To do this, each partner will have to organise the activities around the artistic field they have chosen. Together, the partners will show how, through the example of Art, differences have enabled the construction of Europe. The aim is to show that the dissemination of the different national arts has influenced the other countries and created European unity. It is this unity that will be highlighted through literature, sculpture, painting, crafts... This work will be carried out, over a period of two years, in close collaboration with cultural (museums, theatres) and political (cities, departments, regions) territorial partners. The objective of each school will be to make a synthesis, within the framework of the artistic field it has chosen, of the continuities, the diffusion and the influences of its artistic field. This synthesis will be achieved thanks to the work sent by the different partners and thanks to digital contacts (eTwinning, videoconferences, audio contacts, emails...) between the pupils. The syntheses, built using different media (videos, photos, texts...), will all be gathered on an interactive digital platform that will evolve over the months. Thus, apart from the mobility of pupils, everyone will be able to refer to this platform, enrich it and make it known within the school, to partners and to the population. At the same time, the feeling of belonging to the European Union will be symbolically consolidated by the development of a logo, a symbol of unity through the arts.Mobilities will be organised around an artistic field, taken up by each participating country, and developed according to various common European artistic periods. At the end of each mobility, the pupils will report on their stay with the help of their logbook, which will take the form of notes and photographs, and will be the subject of a photo-report. These elements will serve as an outline for the final project for the realisation of the volume model of a ""Europe House for All"", which will be made up of various architectural elements specific to each of the participating countries. Photomontages will be made in which a landscape or view of a city will appear, consisting of parts of views taken in different places during each of the pupils' trips to the various participating countries. The interest of this project will be to highlight the importance of Art in the union of the different European countries, while expressing national and even regional differences. The involvement of pupils, future European citizens, as well as the dissemination in schools for other pupils, the commitment of parents, associations and leaders of regional or national institutions, will be the guarantee of a dissemination of the feeling of belonging to European citizenship. The sustainability of the project through exhibitions and presentations will contribute to this feeling. The visual work of the pupils (photo-reportage, volume realisations, putting into practice knowledge and know-how...) and its dissemination are the guarantee of its impact."

"The ""Authors and directors with a cause "" project aims at promoting a better understanding of the environmental, social and cultural issues we all face nowadays by means of literature and cinema. Students will use a series of interactive and creative methods in order to produce research materials and their own creations: reading, studying, conducting research and analysis, meeting writers and film directors, writing their own short stories and directing their own films etc.7 schools from 7 countries, with very different social, historical and cultural backgrounds joined this project to acknowledge common european values and issues that will have to be dealt with by students in the next years as the fully concerned citizens we hope they will turn to be thanks to this project. Therefore, by strong collaboration and team work with students from other European countries, by meetings and interviewing famous and representative European writers and film directors , all the students taking part in this project will promote intercultural awareness and they will encourage using books and films as a means of better knowing ourselves, our ancestors, the society we live in and the European peoples we share the same goals and territory with. Moreover, as far as teachers' benefits are concerned, by taking part in these project activities (joint research, surveys and studies, peer learning activities, workshops. ), they will improve their teaching techniques and adapt them to society nowadays, to its needs and requirements. They will develop creative, innovative methods of teaching based on students' needs for motivation and active participation during classes and extra-curricular activities. Teachers will use the dissemination activities in order to share their newly acquired information, experience and examples of good practice to the entire European and Erasmus + community by means of eTwinning platform and other activities carried out at local, regional, national and international level ( attending conferences, exhibitions, meetings, seminars, joint staff training events, carrying out teaching and training assignments. etc. ) Therefore, this project will certify the skills and competences acquired during the implementation of this partnership and will help them not only develop professionally and personally but also bring their contribution to creating a modern European educational system."
