"We are in the midst of the sixth mass extinction, where about 200 species per day disappear. In the last 44 years, live populations have decreased by 60 percent, and one million species are in danger of extinction. Due to the climate crisis, migrations are on the rise, with only 17 million people migrating around the world in 2018. In 2050, 200 million people are expected to emigrate. By 2100, the sea water level can rise up to 2 meters. In this case, millions of people will have to migrate from where they live. Due to the climate crisis, 120 million people will become poorer in the next 11 years and millions of people will be deprived of basic human needs such as living, nutrition, housing and water. Most people know the environmental problems we are facing now, but how many of them take a step for these problems? In this project we aim to develop environmental consciousness not only in students (age 14-19) of all partner schools that will be represented by at least 20 young people with different social, economical and educational backgrounds per each school, but also in their communities. Apart from obvious project objectives, like increasing the knowledge of how to use ICT tools to communicate with fellow students from other parts of Europe and increasing pupils’ motivation for learning foreign languages, we would also like to help young people to explore the possibilities to act towards sustainable living culture. Our aim is not to act upon fear and distress, so often accompanying the topic, but to build new ecological perspectives based on joy, positive approach to climate change and effective, applicable solutions in every household, school and community. During the project period, we all will develop emotional and rational bondages with the topic through transforming all our experiences into creative results like writing pieces (lyrics, poems etc.), presentations, videos, discussions, games, cleaning activities, experiments, planting a tree, thinking about various, applicable solutions ready for every household, designing an eco-friendly school, visiting inspiring places that are already involved in solving/promoting ecological values etc. As climate changes have an impact on all of us, we would like to start looking for solutions, to increase intrinsic motivation for improvement and to start giving a good example to others by means of collaboration in group work by establishing a cherishing attitude of taking care of the environment together. As ""we have a responsibility to leave for future generations a planet that is healthy and habitable by all species."" (Sir D. Attenborough). Our partners will form an international team working on numerous activities focused on general ideas of a climate change. The main objective of the project is to let students develop a positive, optimistic and clear understanding of some of the most important environmental topics and issues listed as: A) Climate Changes or ""There is no Planet B"" (NL)B) Recycling or ""Reduce, Reuse, Recycle"" (A)C) Pollution or ""Go Blue, Think Green"" (IT)D) Protection of Plants and Species or ""To Bee or Not to Bee""(HR)E) Renewable energy or ""Clean Energy for a Bright Future"" (SP)F) Water Management or ""Put a Stop to Every Drop"" (TK)Climate change does not just threaten the Earth system, it could also undermine the Sustainable Development Goals. The Sustainable Development Goals are 17 targets set by the United Nations to end poverty, reduce inequality and tackle climate change. The goals are all interlinked, because we are one globalised species living on one planet. Climate changes are expected to have their greatest impacts on the poorest and most vulnerable communities, children among them. We think that as climate change is a global problem that does not respect national borders, we need to work together as a global community. We have decided that at least 10 out of 17 of the Sustainable Development Goals will bind our activities and have an impact on us and our communities. Even if the goals are not legally binding, they are implemented in national-level policies, and many businesses and communities respond positively to them. The official outcomes of the implementation will be assessed in 2030, ours already in 2022."

Our key objective was to inform students about basic financial terms and teach them that it is possible to take control of their financial present and future. This objective was achieved throughout the project. In partner schools and during student exchanges our students had the chance to learn about financial topics (currencies, savings and investment, debt management and financial responsibility, renting vs. owning, online shopping, loans, scholarships and grants etc). In order to instil skills that would help our students in school and later on the job market, during workshops in schools and during student exchanges we reinforced key competences such as critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork, ICT and communication skills. Our students had the chance to discover the diversity of EU cultures and their own culture, they had the chance to compare their knowledge and practices to their peers', and have definitely become more socially aware and open-minded. Our students were given knowledge they will be able to use with their families and affect their family financial decisions in the long run. We used methodology that is more interesting and attractive to students (online meetings, research on the Internet, brainstorming, timelines, presenting etc).

Digital technologies are an indispensable part of the learning process. Current research and practice shows that education system of future economists is insufficiently attentive to the development of digital competence of teachers and consequently the pupils, especially in the secondary education system. Project partners have recognized the problem of passive learning, lack of thinking outside the box, and in the first place insufficient use of digital technologies in education. In order to modernize education and training of future economists, it is particularly important to promote the use of digital technology for learning in the field of vocational education. It is expected that the exchange of good practice between project partners will respond to the challenges in relation to the use of digital technology in teaching economic disciplines and in this way it will enable students to be more prepared for the challenges that await them in the higher education system as well as in the labour market.Strengthening teachers' competences for different forms of training would promote the comprehensiveness of teaching our future economists. The target groups of this project are primarily teachers from the secondary education system in cooperation with teachers in the field of higher education who are engaged in vocational education of students in economics. The overall aim of the project is to exchange challenges and practices of teaching economic disciplines (accounting, international trade and tourism) in era of digitalization. Given the set goals, it is expected that partnerships between higher and secondary education institutions will contribute to the development of teaching skills that will stimulate creative thinking and further support the entrepreneurial spirit of vocational education students. Involvement of foreign strategic partners from Germany, Poland and Serbia would greatly contribute primarily to the activities of teaching, teaching and training of teaching staff through the exchange of good practices in the application of new innovative learning tools in teaching in the different field of economics. The main needs and objectives of the project include:(1) improvement of teaching skills and teaching practices in different economic disciplines with special emphasis pointed out to the era of digitization by sharing existing good practices and analysing use of new digital teaching and learning technologies in vocational education of economists(2) encouraging digitalization in participating organizations(3) increasing students satisfaction with acquired knowledge and skills in developing their own entrepreneurial ideas and better inclusion on the labour market.A total of 8 partners will participate in this strategic partnership. Among them 4 are from higher education system while other 4 are secondary vocational schools. In order to achieve the desired flexibility in acquiring skills and competences in the field of economics, the development of effective digital, open and innovative education as well as practical learning tools seems necessary. This project would enable support for educators and learners to use digital technologies in a more creative and efficient way. Adopting innovative practices in teaching economic disciplines will empower and connect educators in both higher and secondary schools education, and will have a great impact in the sector of Vocational Education and Training of future economists. The most important result of the project is the development of digital competences and skills needed for teaching economic disciplines in an age of digital transformation.During the project, an analysis of existing teaching tools and practices as well as sharing ideas for developing new innovative tools considering the era of digitization in the field of vocational education is planned. Online and face-to-face transnational meetings, round-tables and especially short-term joint staff training events in all countries involved in the project will ensure that partners will achieve the planned project results. In the final phase of the project, a publication is expected to unite all findings related to the use of digital technology in teaching economic disciplines between partner countries. By the end of the project, it is expected that all experience and good practice exchanged between partners will be applied in vocational educational institutions of secondary and higher education in partner countries. After the completion of the project, further progress in the development of new technologies and teaching tools that can be used in teaching is expected. Therefore, there is space for continuing cooperation in the form of new projects where the emphasis will be on the development of new innovative intellectual output.
