The activity of young people in small fairs of Estonia and neighbouring Latvia, tends to be low regardless of the local authorities attempt to affect young people and give them opportunities for self- realisation, young people´s opinion is not heard much. The reason may not be in the lack of ideas, but in the formality of self- realisation which decreases the opportunities of creative self- realisation. The imaginary wall between the young and the rest of the community makes them feel unnecessary in society (which affects their election activity and social belonging in future). Still, the young are able to offer innovative solutions and views that are worth taking into consideration.Since film-art is quite popular among the young and contains narration and also the technical side in filming, then people with different skills and talents get the opportunity for self-realisation depending on their personal wishes and goals. Filmmaking is a creative progress which is closely connected with teamwork and cognition. Collective filmmaking allows the young to discuss the chosen topic and through each others opinions and ideas understand better. We set our aim to use filmmaking as the best way of expressing the social-critical ideas of the young.Throughout the project we offered the opportunity for around 550 students aged from 15-19 from Rakvere and Riga and Ventspils for creative self-realisation through audio-visual media eg short films or clips, which they made by topic important for them. We organised 11 discussion-mornings during which participating youngster had an opportunity to discuss with local decision-makers pro’s and con’s of their local community. After discussions students got an opportunity to learn basic film-making skills and develop a short-film scenario according to topic which was risen by previous discussion. In total there was 14 ready-made short-films which besides of local problems tried to point on wider social problems (for example: depression, addictions etc). Besides of described program we also involved around 200 students from rural-areas near to Rakvere, Riga and Ventspils by offering them opportunity to think critically about their hometown or –area challenges and problems and also to gain basic and simple skills of film-making which they can implement in future. All the films made during project were presented in August 2016 during youth festival in Rakvere. Before youth festival there was final events of programme held in Ventspils and Riga where so-called “local winners” got a ticket for youth festival in Rakvere where they had an opportunity to present and comment their film in person. Besides of presenting short-films, the idea of youth festival was to present creativity and activity of youngsters to local community by activities like exhibitions, concerts etc. In total there was around 600 visitors in youth festival (and in addition to youngster, there was many adults participating in film-screenings which supported project main idea – to break barriers between youngsters and adults).Project was organised and implemented by international project team consisting of 12-members of partner organisations from Estonia and Latvia. Organizers brought into project and exchanged previously gained experiences which were helpful for preparatory and implementing activities. Organizers improved - according to personal goals and expectations towards the project – their communication and organising skills and collected new experiences which they can use after project in their so-called “home organisation” or in personal life.According to feedback collected from participants, they were appreciating an opportunity to express their ideas or thoughts and have dialogue with local decision-makers. Mainly from workshops conducted in rural-areas, but also from school programme participants we received feedback that it was innovative and self-developing for them to learn how to use simple tools and methods for film-making and through that express their ideas. As on of the outcomes of project – one of the short-films prepared during the project is used now for regional seminars by local Police department. After participating in project workshop, youngsters from Latvian rural-area near to Ventspils launched in cooperation with their school local film club. In result, project developed organisers communication and cooperation skills, participants (youngsters) knowledge about participation in local level, Erasmus+ programme opportunities and basics of film-making. Project was uniting – through youth festival in Rakvere and activities in partners hometowns – youngsters with adults and was giving its contribution to break previously described barrier between those two groups by making a first step.

Experience. And Share. was a strategic cooperation project between partner organizations of Estonia, Czech Republic and Croatia, its purpose was to develop nonprofit (youth) organizations’s capability to be more visible to its target audience through offering the project’s participants to gain new experiences and skills. Three organizations were involved in the project: Estonia*s own NPO Vaba Noor offering youth opportunities for self-expression, Croatia’s Ekonomska Klinika as a student organization improving (youth) knowledge of entrepreneurship and economy, and Czech Republic’s BeInternational improving youth social activity and mediating international training and participation opportunities. The project LEAS was brought to life due to participant’s own experience and knowledge of other organization’s activities and projects, of how ideas and plans are big but what are lacking are the skills of bringing the initiative(s) to their target audience. In general, professional advertising and marketing services are expensive and due to a lack of knowledge the amount of followers remains smaller than what was planned. We set a goal with our partners to bring the knowledge gained during the project and adapted to the field to other organizations, allowing participants to reflect on their experience and share that also to third parties interested in the initiatives or their results. During the 14-month-long project 2 transnational project meetings were held (in Tartu, Estonia and in Zagreb, Croatia) and 2 training activities organized (in Brno, Czech Republic and Tallinn, Estonia) in which the team members handling the partner organizations’ daily marketing and communications participated. As a result of the training program targeted for them and being the project’s final outcome, a web environment leashare.eu was created through which the project’s participants shared their gained knowledge with other enthusiasts. In addition to the creation of this so-called tool-kit, the project’s participants and their organizations gained experiences to apply in planning and carrying out future initiatives with the goal to reach their desired target audience better.The topics of the training program were formed based on partners’ self-analysis and mapping out participants’ needs of development. Three topics were discussed throughout all the activities: branding (the organization’s story, it’s visibility, planning and carrying out activities based on the aforementioned), effective use of social media (incl. content marketing, planning and carrying out campaigns) and strategic leadership in a (youth) organization / NPO (how to make mutual decisions leading to desired results and set goals). Additionally, in every meeting more specific subtopics were discussed, opened by invited experts of the same field, practitioners and representatives from other organizations with a similar profile. In order to allow all the partners to introduce others their organization’s structure and daily work, every partner got to plan, prepare and carry out at least one of the project’s activities. During the training activities and project meetings participants got acquainted with local (youth) organization’s activities, good practices and examples. The project’s participating organizations and their members assessed the gained experience valuable at the end of the project, and necessary in the aspect of analyzing their organization’s image. The opportunity to get feedback and tips for improving one’s image, and ideas for new information sharing opportunities, encouraged participants to experiment and elaborate on current approaches. In conjunction, as a result of the project a tool-kit reflecting the participants’ experiences and gained knowledge was created, offering practical tips and application options also for other similar organizations after the project ended. The project’s influence undoubtedly manifests itself for a longer period because instead of ready-made solutions work techniques and methods were shared, which performance depends on experimentation and feedback from the target audience (be it a change in enthusiasts, comments on transparency and attractiveness, feedback from partners or organization-wide satisfaction over their accomplishments).
