According to the statement of Marianne Thyssen, the Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs, Skills and Labour Mobility given at the Autumn 2018 Economic Forecast of the EU Commission, the economic recovery of recent years can be made permanent and can be benefited only by investing more in our societies, in our people including the generations to come. The main objective of this partnership is to develop students' skills and employability and to develop teachers' ability to teach students these skills. The national coordinators of each school discussed this future project with their students and teachers during the planning phase and we realized all the schools more or less face similar challenges. The students commented that they felt unready for the labour market. They were also unsure of what skills are required at the next level of education or for various professions in the labour market. Another problem they face is the difficulty of making decision on whaich career choice to make. On the other hand, teachers wanted to know how can they teach skills in classes and how can they assess the acquisition of skills. The project has two primary objectives regarding students and teachers:a) To enable students to acquire hard and soft skills that can encourage each student to participate effectively and constructively in the workplace and socially at local, national and international level. b) To strengthen the teachers' ability to teach skills by using and adopting innovative and effective methods and tools in order to facilitate students’ access to the labour market and improve adaptation to future labour market developments. The target groups and stakeholders of this project are the students and the teachers that participate directly in the project; the other students and teachers of the participating schools; the local business communities such as experts from employment bureaus, chambers of commerce, companies; other schools as local stakeholders; universities; bureaus for education; families; and the students and teachers from other schools in Europe..The expected results are tangible and non-tangible. The tangible results are: the e-book (the final product); the toolbox of skills; the project related videos created by the students, the toolbox for teaching and assessment of skills; a collection of lesson plans prepared according to the innovative lesson plan model ;a promotional poster, brochure, video and the project logo; the project website; the teachers' wikispace platform; the e-twinning group; the twinspace project on e-twinning; an innovative product or service based on students' coding experience; the students' professional portfolios; the learning diaries; questionnaires in the beginning and at the end of the project. Referring to the non-tangible results, we expect the students will become more creative and gain experience in communication and collaboration, critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, meta cognition, personal learning strategies, citizenship, life (and career) skills, personal and social responsibility, cultural awareness and expression, interpersonal and intercultural skills. Thus, the students will become more motivated to stay at school and continue with a higher education. We also expect a significant number of teachers to adopt innovative, effective and new methods and tools in teaching.During the two years we will have 2 transnational meetings and 4 learning/teaching/training activities. The first will be for planning and preparation purposes while the last one will be organized for the evaluation and the sustainability of the project. In each transnational meeting, workshops for innovative teaching methods will be included in the agenda of the meeting. In the long term we aim at recognition of our e-book, the toolbox for teaching and assessment of skills and innovative lesson plan model as teaching materials. The project will also contribute to a well-qualified and highly motivated workforce in Europe while employers will be able to access the workforce with the skills they need. We would like to be an example for similar educational organizations and, if possible, we want to help our colleagues, all school stakeholders and NAs in promoting the Erasmus+ projects about teaching and assessing skills.

Moreover, in a multicultural society as ours, mutual understanding and respect to the different languages and cultures is necessary to promote pacific coexistence that encourages the development of European awareness. We manage to promote cooperation among all educative agents (teachers, students and families), to create cultural awareness (considering cultural manifestation such as art, traditional music, gastronomy, languag) and improve communicative competences. We popularized cultural customs of our countries, diversity and acquainted our pupils with similarities and differences between a few European countries. We mett many wonderful people, became friends with them, explored breathtaking landscapes and broadened our knowledge and our horizons. We did it through the personal experience of the cultural manifestation of different countries, we got to know them and broke the stereotypes around them. The information we received about our partner’s culture was the starting point to develop the project from different areas in the school (arts and crafts, music, social sciences and foreign languages) By working on that, each country managed to transmit different aspects about their culture to the partners. While performing the tasks of the project the subjects we involved in the following way: Art and Drawing lessons: we designed the logo contest and paintings/drawings , created and updated the Erasmus+ corner , the school calendar. Web2 tools were used to create the eMagazine, the eBookand the eNewspaper. Literature Department: poems, compositions, stories, sayings were written or collected. The English language was used for communication and for translating the literary works and all other materials that needed to be translated . Music- we created a DVD containing dances and songs specific to each country .ICT was used for improving communication among partners from al countries and for realizing different tasks. Gastronomy- we created a cookery book with recipes of traditional food from each country. We learned about the culture and the traditions of these countries, about the most important festivals, celebrities and important events in each country.Students of different ages took part in the project through most of the different subjects they study at school. Local artists, parents and people from the local community helped us during the realization of the project. This project gave learners and teachers the opportunity to work together and share mutual interests and develop mutual understanding. The five schools from Romania, Spain, Slovakia, Poland and Lithuania planned to have five Learning, Teaching and Training activities in each school, short-term exchanges of groups of pupils. During these activities the pupils and the teachers accompanying them had the opportunity to exchange ideas regarding the achievement of the project's objectives. These activities enabled them to work together in multinational and multidisciplinary groups thus they benefitted from special learning and teaching conditions not available in a single institution and gained new perspectives. We observed the progress of our project in terms of the objectives in our school and the partner schools in order to enable evaluation by the teachers of how their understanding increased. After each activity, the partner schools presented a report about deplopment and results of their own activities. Then, they made a portfolio of the activity and questionnaires which could be shown to all the other partners. The participants in the project developped their creativity and imagination, they found out new things about the partners’ cultures and countries, improved their knowledge about how to use the Internet and information technology to achieve different tasks and to communicate, were better motivated to learn ,improved their English, they learned few words in the languages of the partners, became aware of the intercultural dimension of education through the initiation of a correspondence on the Internet with students from other countries but also through the short-term exchanges some of them took part in, learned how to work in team and support each other, learned how to act as guides and hosts in their schools, changed their attitude to other cultures, they became more open-minded and discovered cultural differences, arrived at a deeper understanding of what it means to be EU citizens. All the common products, the videos, the emagazine, ebook and enewspaper, the DVDs, etc. can be used as teaching means for both curricular and extracurricular activities.

Reading skills have an impact on all aspects of daily life, from school to employment and from health care to social life. Although it is a crucial skill, reluctance in reading appears in all age groups (children, adolescents, adults) unfortunately and cause problems across generations. Reading less makes it hard to understand people all over the world. The project “Reawakening the Values depicted in European Society via Literary Work” involves 4 schools from 4 European countries: Lithuania, Spain, Turkey, Latvia. According to the SWOT analysis done by each partner institution, the partners identified a series of common needs that lead to the decision to implement a project about reading. This project aims at detecting and unearthing the intrinsic values the students have through reading. The pupils will rediscover their in-built feelings like responsibility, success, self-respect and self esteem via books through innovative teaching methods. They will read books from different cultures and do cross-cultural activities. Within the context of this study, our students will discover virtues of other European nations by examining their work of literature and will have the chance to increase their understanding of different cultures. This study makes endeavor to generate and engage students' interests and excitement in positive manners. Our target group is teenagers between the aged 13 and 18 who have ongoing English classes.Normally from each institutions 4 students and 2 teachers will attend each study visit but other students in these schools will also take part in project activities. Our main objective regarding the project is to show our students the virtues of reading and lead them to spending more time with books with innovative approaches. With this project, our students will experience unique methods that will change their views towards reading in a positive manner. They will learn great amount of knowledge on other European countries and increase their ability to emphasize about people from other cultures. The project will also give them the chance to advance their skills in English and improve and expand their vocabulary. In order to meet these objectives, we will use innovative methods that will make the process a fun learning experience for the students. Each partner school has a different method to share that they will share with all participants. Students will be required to select and read books from other partner countries, after reading these books they will prepare themselves to the activities by making presentations, gathering further information about writers and their hometowns, select values in the books and discuss them. After the preparation phase, the most active students will be chosen for study visits that will be a social experience in sharing different learning methods such as but not limited to “creating a time capsule”, “holding a press conference”, “preparing a guide book”, “multicultural self” and ""treasure hunt"" . For students this project will be a unique chance to increase and apply their gained knowledge about European cultural heritage of partners’ countries, raise their awareness, understanding, tolerance and respect of cultural and social differences between nations, enlarge their foreign language competences and motivation in language learning, build up higher level skills (such as, problem solving, decision making, cooperation, organizational, literacy skills) through reading. For teachers it will be a great chance to cooperate with the teachers from the other countries, to improve their pedagogical skills by exchanging and sharing teaching methods, good practices and ideas that will enrich their pedagogical aspects, and to make contacts for further cooperation. For participating schools it is an important experience to develop links with other European schools, to get known about different educational systems and approaches. For parents and general public it is a great opportunity to find out more about European Union, European projects, to gain new experience by hosting international pupils and to find out more about various cultures in Europe. We believe that this project will have two major long term effects on students and other participants; firstly their approach to books and reading will change, enabling them to adapt a very beneficial habit. Secondly, they will experience other European cultures and understand the view of people from different nations, teaching them to break through prejudices and learn to empathize."
