In summary, entrepreneurs helping to develop entrepreneurs. A key aspect of this project was to encourage the growth of professional development of VET teachers and develop innovative teaching approaches. This project proposal was developed in line with the objectives and recommendations made in the Bruges Communiqué on enhanced European cooperation in VET for 2011-2020 in particular Fostering innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship, as well as the use of ICT (in both i-vet and C-vet). Prior to the commencement of the project, a needs analysis of the target group was undertaken which was updated throughout the project. This project also followed on from a previous EU funded project, Creating Entrepreneurs in Food (CEF), which highlighted the lack of support for FFEs in Europe. Europe’s food industry has seen a major resurgence in recent years and has been a hallmark of the economic recovery. The development and growth of new food businesses has been seen in both large scale corporations and artisan producers alike. Females are currently grossly underrepresented in the Agri-Food industry. These facts, coupled with our needs analysis, clearly support the demand for adequate training to grow FFEs. There are a number of entrepreneurial courses available but currently no CPD for VET providers to upskill to meet the needs of this unique group. To achieve the above objectives of this project, two outputs were produced:-A Training Guide for VET providers on delivering work based entrepreneurial training to FFEs in the Agri-Food Sector (O1)-A Resource Platform which provides European FFEs with resources, training, advice and collaborative opportunities (O2)It is anticipated that the outputs of the project will continue to gain attention and that more FFEs will successfully develop their own business, and create jobs. Due to the impact of Covid-19, the consortium produced additional material for O1 and O2 in order to address the new digital world we are living in due to the pandemic. The additional material for O1, with GMIT as the lead, consisted of a document for VET educators to help them create and deliver work-based entrepreneurial training for online environments. The additional material was created to provide VET educators with details and links to the most appropriate platforms and methods to utilize, and to increase their practical based learners engagement in an online environment. Following the pandemic, it became apparent that although the O2 resource platform was an online resource, it was deficient in online skills that would be essential post pandemic. The consortium felt that there would be a greater need for food businesses to have an online presence. The additional material was worked into O2, with a new section on the platform created called 'Digital Tools.' GMIT led the creation of O2 additional material, with PFA making the information available on the platform. The consortium comprised of five partners; BETI (Lithuania), CIA Toscana (Italy), CPIP (Romania), PFA and GMIT (Ireland). Each member of the consortium had been involved in the Agri-Food sector and innovative methods of developing the sector. A communication and dissemination plan along with a timeline of activities were developed to ensure the project stayed on track. 5 TNMs took place throughout the project with 2 taking place physically and the remaining 3 being held online. Four multiplier events (Es) were organised by the consortium with the first two taking place physically, and the last two hosted virtually. To ensure the outputs were meeting the needs of the target audience, two Learning Teaching Training Activities (LTTAs) were organised; The first took place physically and organised by GMIT with the aim of testing and evaluating O1 among the consortium. 10 participants took part. LTTA2 took place virtually with Learners and was a five day event organised by BETI. 15 members of the target audience took part and provided feedback on O2. Covid-19 affected the project, but the activities still had good attendance. The recordings of the Es have been requested and viewed many times demonstrating the significant impact and interest in the project. With the outputs translated to partner languages, the project and its outcomes are easily transferrable and will reach a wider European audience. This project was the first of its kind to be a finalist in the prestigious Green Gown research awards. This was and has continued to be a significant dissemination event for our project with the Youtube video of the awards receiving 137 views. All partners have disseminated the project to date on social media. By collaborating with European partners, the developed outputs benefitted from the contribution of a broader range of FFEs.

With the negative impact of COVID19 on the economy and how the pandemic has increased the use of e-commerce for buying and selling it is critical that women entrepreneurs build a strong online digital marketing and e-commerce strategy to engage with consumers and increase revenue by expanding their business beyond their local area. The WISE Learning and Community Platform evolved as a result of the professional experience of the project partners and their involvement in a number of Erasmus+ projects which identified women entrepreneurs as the specific target group requiring support. Women entrepreneurs tend to work alone, their businesses are generally small and their working hours are flexible for around family commitments. Over time they lack digital marketing and e-commerce skills to expand their business and require that learning opportunity to be flexible and accessible online. The WISE project will develop the skills of women entrepreneurs through KNOWLEDGE, TOOLS AND TO SHAREKNOWLEDGE: By developing an online learning course on digital marketing and e-commerce (01)- The course will include a series of modules to develop the knowledge and skills of women entrepreneurs to create an online identity for their business. - The content will be driven by both experts and learners tailored to both the beginner and the more experienced to develop new and advance existing skills as a self-paced course on Moodle (OERs, free to use).TOOLS: A Digital Toolbox and Online Handbook of Good Practice Examples of Women (02)- To create an ‘ideas bank’ with practical tutorials of the best digital tools, services, and frameworks used by women entrepreneurs to address the needs of women starting a new business, transforming the existing business to digital requirements, and expanding their business activities.- To gather a set of best practice examples and video testimonials of women entrepreneurs who use digital marketing and e-commerce to promote their business online to inspire and encourage other women to use these tools in their businessSHARE: A Woman Entrepreneurs LEARNING and COMMUNITY PORTAL (03)- To bring together the online learning course (01) and digital toolbox and Handbook of good practice (02) on a Portal to share knowledge and tools to develop the skills of women entrepreneurs.- To create a place for cooperation, exchange of ideas and opinions for women entrepreneurs during the project and beyond to enable women to continually learn, share, and inspire each other.- Provide the opportunity to present the ongoing work of the project to target groups (women/entrepreneurs) in order to gather feedback and pre-evaluate the practical usefulness. The WISE project brings together partners with a range of experience: Community, NGOs, Training, European Networks and business providing a link across the world of work, business, training, and education with links to other stakeholders women entrepreneurs, women's networks, business enterprise agencies, business training within each partner region that support women entrepreneurs. The Women entrepreneurs Learning and Community Portal will foster access to continuing VET to women entrepreneurs who face challenges that are different to male entrepreneurs in the area of reconciling business and family responsibilities. The online learning course will add value to any other training which is provided to women entrepreneurs in their region to enable them to continue to improve their skills and abilities in adopting digital marketing and e-commerce.It will support the EU Entrepreneurship 2020 Action Plan to promote entrepreneurship through training and by reaching out to specific groups such as women entrepreneurs who are not reached by traditional business support. One of the most affected groups in this process is the youth facing the biggest unemployment problem. Solving the unemployment crisis and enabling youth to enter the labor market has become one of the top priorities of the development agenda in many countries. Moreover, the number of young people who are neither in education nor in employment has exceeded 600 million worldwide. NEET data in Turkey are below the average of OECD countries and even last in Europe. (Eurostat, 2019)The most effective method to ensure the active participation of young people in social and economic life is to revive the entrepreneurial spirit. For this reason, entrepreneurship trainings should become widespread and meet target audiences. The more diverse entrepreneurship training is, the more young people will be able to participate in employment. A newly opened or restructured business; It increases the employment volume of the country, offers a solution to the unemployment problem and as a result, economic development gains a positive momentum. As a result of new business areas, educating young people in the country and especially young women in rural areas, guiding and supporting them with social activities, improves their entrepreneurship skills. Our project develops reports on youth work in rural areas and a training kit for entrepreneurship, and offers activities to support entrepreneurship training and activities with non-formal and informal trainings. (Encouraging young people to beekeeping and guiding them on how to start and run a lucrative business, fostering a culture of entrepreneurship in rural areas.)Beekeeping, which is a means of livelihood or additional income for a significant portion of the population of the South East Anatolia region, is important in terms of providing input to many branches of the trade sector. Beytüşşebap district of Şırnak is famous for its endemic plants, so it is a very productive region for the beekeeping industry. Beekeeping enterprises in this region generally consist of small enterprises or individual production as in the country. According to the data of Şırnak Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, there are 1050 registered beekeepers in the province. There are more than 80 thousand beehives throughout the province. The total annual honey production is between 750 and 800 tons.Farmers engaged in beekeeping have lagged behind the constantly evolving and digitalizing world due to terrorism for years. In addition, entrepreneurial skills are also suppressed. For this reason, they are far from technical production methods where knowledge and technology combine, and digital and entrepreneurial skills that make more profit. This situation caused low productivity and loss in economic returns. Yield and low profit are shaped by the widespread use of traditional beekeeping, inadequacies in beekeeping methods, unconscious disease struggle, inability to produce queen bees, and the use of existing queens for a long time. In addition, the ""Beekeeping"" course program prepared by the General Directorate of Lifelong Learning contains many deficiencies in both the beekeeping sector and the production of bee products. The course training period is 72 hours, the content of the training program includes general basic recommendations beyond critical information about unqualified young beekeepers. In addition, the lack of transversal and social skills in the program hinders the development of the potential of the participants in the region and the efficiency of the training. In addition, beekeeping is mostly limited to honey production in the Region. However, bee products such as propolis, beeswax, royal jelly and bee pollen with high added value are in great demand both in the national and global markets. For this reason, the production of bee products is a highly efficient and high<< Objectives >>Youth unemployment in the labor market in recent years; It has become an important problem for both developed and developing countries. Young people face many difficulties in the transition from education to the labor market. Those who lose their job first and are unemployed in a possible crisis are much more likely than other age groups. Especially in the recent period, many young people are exposed to temporary / part-time or informal forms of employment that yield very little income, even if they join the business world. The data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) February 2021 show that the unemployment rate in the 15-24 age group in Turkey has reached 26.9%. According to Neither Employment nor Education and Training (NEET) figures, Turkey has the highest NEET rate (29.5%) among OECD countries. The COVID-19 crisis has further deepened the problem of youth unemployment, making it more difficult to access decent jobs. In the Southeastern Anatolia Region of Turkey, the youth unemployment problem, especially in Şırnak, stands out to a great extent. The provincial economy of Şırnak is based on agriculture and animal husbandry, it has been one of the most severely affected provinces in the region in terms of youth unemployment, and current jobs have decreased significantly due to the COVID-19 outbreak. According to TURKSTAT 2018 data, in Şırnak, which is one of the provinces with the lowest female employment, the employment rate of women in the total population is 20.18%. In addition, young women in rural areas mostly work as unpaid family workers, unregistered in the city, below the minimum wage in the sector and in heavy conditions at home.Although there are various work programs for young people, beekeeping as a business has not received much attention. However, beekeeping plays an important role in improving livelihoods, especially in rural areas. Beekeeping is an important income generating activity with great potential for development. Landless and low-income areas, especially in rural and remote areas, are suitable for young people. Since hives can be found in poor soils or even rocky areas, they do not require a large amount of land or fertile soil to produce. It requires a minimum initial investment and usually makes a profit within the first year of the business. Moreover, beekeeping can easily be done by all ages and genders associated with the countryside. In addition to direct income from bee products, beekeeping also stimulates various sectors in a society such as hive carpentry, honey trade, hiring of bee colonies for pollination. Therefore, the participation of young people, and especially rural young women, in beekeeping activities provides unique opportunities to contribute to other livelihoods. There is an important geographical potential for beekeeping in the Southeastern Anatolia Region. Beytüşşebap district in the region, famous for its endemic plants in Şırnak; It is one of the most productive areas for beekeeping due to its geography, climate, flora and fauna diversity. Beekeeping is also a traditional and socioeconomic activity that has been carried out for centuries in Beytüşşebap and surrounding districts. In this context, beekeeping is a great option for NEETs to create their own business or earn extra income as a second activity in Beytüşşebap, where labor supply is extremely scarce. Low-skilled young people in Beytüşşebap need technical knowledge, motivation and entrepreneurial skills in beekeeping. Therefore, it is important to develop not only the basic skills and technical knowledge of young people in beekeeping, but also their organizational, financial and entrepreneurial skills to ensure their participation in beekeeping activities as successful entrepreneurs. In this context, our project aims to reduce youth unemployment in rural areas.<< Implementation >>One of the important factors in the project activities to reach the project goals is the strong communication and bond established between the partners. Each partner has a one-to-one harmony and experience with the project goals and activities. However, the partnership established includes different cultures, different fields of study and experiences. IOs, transnational meetings, multiplier events and supportive activities to be produced in this direction will be complementary to the project objectives.1. Production and Development of IOsProject IOs have been created in line with the support of youth unemployment, which has become a regional and universal problem with Covid-19 and the global financial crisis, and the increase in the unskilled youth population in rural areas. The first of the IOs produced is the report that offers innovative and creative approaches to establishing relationships with young people in rural areas in order to overcome the barriers in front of young people who have difficulties in finding jobs in rural and remote regions, emphasizing the difficulties faced by rural youth and improving their forward-looking motivations. Thus, by addressing the current challenges faced by young people, the necessary technical knowledge and necessary competencies will be provided for the production of bee and bee products with a very high profit potential for rural areas. The First IO will contribute to the creation of the Rural Entrepreneurship Training Set for Youth and will lead to successful results with the identified needs analyzes. In addition, this output will add diversity to limited resources for the production of non-formal and non-formal educational materials, digital tools and strategies in order to include young people in innovative agricultural production systems, ensure their social inclusion and increase their social participation, and will contribute to achieving the project goals. The third IO is a virtual learning platform for young beekeepers. This IO will include training modules and video library on beekeeping and entrepreneurship, and will enable NEETs and youth workers to acquire beekeeping and entrepreneurship skills and create innovative use of digital channels in its new normal order. Our latest output is digital marketing training material on beekeeping. The content of the training module will include information regarding the needs of the developing technology age such as marketing bee products, digital marketing and techniques, search engine optimization. The module will be created in the form of an e-book and will be prepared in four different languages. The content of the planned training module has innovative features in the context of its place for digital priorities and its sphere of influence. Thus, NEETs and unskilled rural youth will develop digital skills and gain digital sales and marketing competencies, where they can make a very high profit in the product they produce in the new business area.2. Multiplier EventsIt is a very important activity in terms of sharing and disseminating the intellectual outputs produced within the scope of the project. It will be ensured that IOs reach more target audiences while carrying out multiplier activities. Thus, with the works to be carried out, the Virtual Learning Platform for Beekeepers will be provided to reach more NEETs and rural youth and youth workers. This will help young people to increase their ability to use innovative approaches in digital channels and their professional skills in a specific area.3 International MeetingsWith the 24-month project, transnational meetings to be held every 6 months, the opportunity to meet face to face on the development and completion of the intellectual outputs, the budget plan, the activity timeline and the potential problems related to the project will be provided. In addition, online meetings with partner institution officials will be held regularly every month, and process management an<< Results >>The project will produce abstract and concrete results regarding our main target groups. The main target groups of our project are young people who have difficulties in finding jobs in rural and remote areas, NEET, youth workers and organizations. Our most important concrete project results will be 4 intellectual outputs. These;1- Report for Youth Work in Rural Areas2- Rural Entrepreneurship Training Kit for Young People3- Digital Learning Platform for Young Beekeepers4- Beekeeping Digital Marketing Training MaterialReport prepared for young women, women and NEETs who have difficulties in finding jobs in rural areas; It will offer innovative and creative approaches to engage with rural youth in order to overcome barriers to our target groups, highlight the challenges faced by rural youth and significantly increase their forward-looking motivation. They will be supported to recognize problems and offer solutions, to design sustainable initiatives, to add value to what they produce, and to gain an entrepreneurial mindset. All these skills will broaden young people's horizons and help increase their expectations and self-esteem for the future. In addition, Beytüşşebap Municipality will allocate 500m2 of land for the use of 30 NEETs. The results obtained there will be an indicator of future decision-making for policy makers. It will provide opportunities to develop transversal skills and quality learning. With our project, outputs for entrepreneurship including innovative formal and non-formal training materials, digital tools and strategies will be developed for the inclusion of unskilled youth in rural areas into youth worker activities. In addition, the project will provide an online interactive platform that will enable distance learning and will provide young people with the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills needed to successfully take part in the beekeeping industry. This platform will provide theoretical and practical technical knowledge training modules on beekeeping and entrepreneurship skills. In addition, the project offers “Beekeeping Digital Marketing Training Material” where target groups can acquire digital marketing skills in order to adapt to the rapid development of the digital world. With this output, young people will be able to easily bring the products obtained from beekeeping together with the producer and the consumer at an approximate retail price without intermediaries, and they will be able to sell faster and more profitably. They will gain digital sales and marketing competencies, where they will be able to make a very high profit for the product they produce in the new business area. These outputs; It will ensure that the needs of participating institutions and target groups are met in a more conscious, effective and quality way. Youth work activities of participating institutions will be enriched with formal and non-formal education methodologies. The pilot application of 30 people to be implemented within the scope of the project will ensure the development of participating institutions throughout the project. With the completion of the project, the quality of services provided to unskilled youth in rural areas and the entrepreneurial skills of the target group will increase. In addition, the e-learning platform will add value to the organizational capacity of participating institutions and support the digital transformation of existing education systems. All partners will gain the ability to manage and execute projects at EU / international level, their capacity will increase and they will gain a professional point of view and will increase their reputation across Europe. In addition, the project will have many intangible results such as international meetings, dissemination activities, multiplier events.Personnel responsible or managerial for developing project results will also gain new competencies. With the results of the project, staff and participants will be able to create a"

The Report on prospects and challenges for the EU apiculture sector (2017/2115(INI)) calls on the Member States to promote greater cooperation and the sharing of knowledge and information, including advanced and mutual early warning systems between farmers and beekeepers, foresters, scientists and veterinarians on spraying periods and other insecticide application, prevention and control of diseases, technologies that are not harmful for bees, and plant protection methods that minimise pollinator mortality; also calls on the Commission to adopt recommendations in order to support different national high-quality basic and vocational beekeeping education programmes in the EU.The topic of the project is strongly important for the agricultural VET education. In order to find a balance between nature and the use of chemicals for growing crops, we need to learn how to use plant protection products properly and effectively, in order to minimize the negative impact on the environment. Our project fulfils this aim fully and intend to produce very useful training tools for VET organisations, teachers of VET students, farmers and beekeepers as well as for agricultural advisors.<< Objectives >>Air, water and food are among the basic necessities necessary for life. However, sometimes we do not realize that our lives probably could not exist without bees, which are becoming more and more extinct for pesticides, which are used more intensively than before. Beekeeping is a special field of agricultural production. Bees provide many environmental benefits in the form of cross-pollination and in the form of therapeutic effect of bee products.Several recent foreign studies have shown that pesticides known as ""neonicotinoids"" can have various long-term effects on bee colonies, including reducing the number of queens. The losses of beekeeping are considerable due to the impact of incorrect or excessive use of these pesticides. In some cases, this can contribute to the complete collapse of the bee colony. The loss of bees has become a big problem, because bees are among the world's most important pollinators of agricultural crops, as well as wild plants. The quality of honey, pollen and the viability of bees is an excellent measure of the quality of the environment. The health of bee colonies and their development is negatively affected by any mixture of pesticides in food supplies (honey, pollen) accumulated in the hive. Therefore, it is worth striving to eliminate the loss of bees caused by improper use of agricultural pesticides, as well as lack of imagination in their application - the main consequent benefits of bee activity will be pollination of crops and subsequent increase in crops, secondly the prevention of large economic losses and finally, very important benefit is the unpolluted natural environment in which humans live. To tackle with above mentioned issues, the main objective of the project is to update and improve knowledge and awareness of VET students, VET organisations, farmers and people working in the farm production area in the field of organic beekeeping and proper usage of the chemical plant protection products and fertilisers, by means of the creation of Curriculum and Interactive training content focused on organic beekeeping and development of interactive training materials and tools on organic apiculture and rational use of plant protection products.<< Implementation >>The main goals and objectives of the project is providing high quality training content about rational use of plant protection products and fertilizers in terms of the impact on bees in the ecosystem. The training content must be provided in the very modern and innovative way with utilisation of the new and still developing technologies. The perfect technology to implement and achieve our goals is Learning management system such as Moodle which allows to prepare educational content in the way friendly and also easy to learn for a wide spectrum of beneficiaries in different geographical areas. Easy learning is especially important in the area of the project topic because we are directing our project to broader groups of beneficiaries like people and teachers from distant rural areas. As a result, we will have the e-learning educational content both in on-line and off-line form available to use on PC or cell phones or tablets, as well as printed and electronic handbooks.Communication activities play a key role in successfully disseminating knowledge in the project, raising awareness and attracting potential end users. Communication activities under the BeePro project will mainly concern raising awareness about the project through electronic and non-electronic media, as well as through interactive and non-interactive activities, such as the presentation of the project website in social media, etc. We will actively use for communication relevant EU and national networks.<< Results >>There will be several results during lifetime of the project and at the end. First result of the project will be R1: BeePro Curriculum including State of the Art. It will include overall report of the situation about beekeeping in all partners countries- State of the Art, Training methodology and BeePro Curriculum itself. The SoA report will consist of national reports from all partners countries about local situation of the beekeeping related to the topic of the project. Another part of R1 will be the training methodology. This document will describe the way of the implementation and executing of the trainings. It will describe also methodology pilot testing. This document will be intended for project consortium and will be available in English. As a third, very important part of the R1 will be prepared curriculum of the BeePro project. This document will specify all aspects related to competences, content, timing, EQF demand and also learning outcomes which will be obtained by the learner. Another project result will be the R2: Virtual Learning Environment with Training Content. The Virtual learning environment will be the main tool for delivery of the training content. Both the Virtual learning environment platform and training content will be evaluated during pilot testing activity.Last result will be R3: BeePro Handbook; The previously developed training content, adapted after the Pilot testing phase, will form main part of the BeePro handbook. It will also contain additional parts- case studies/practical examples.Outcomes not listed in section Project results: -Multiplier events with the aim to multiply the number of stakeholders that will be involved in the process of recognition the project outcomes.-Project website: it will be the main dissemination tool of the project and will provide all key information about project and its progress, website will be available in all partners languages and English. -Social Media: BeePro Facebook page-Dissemination Plan-Other Dissemination tools: Project Visual Identity, with project logo, Project leaflets- electronic and printed version, Newsletters- electronic version;-Quality Management Plan."
