This problem results from the lack of modern education programs that transcend content beyond learning the skills of standard device handling and the use of network resources. Thus, the project meets contemporary challenges related to the development of the Internet and responds to the need to raise ICT competences among adults in the current Internet reality. The objectives of the project are:•Creation of a modern adult ICT education program that takes into account contemporary challenges in the field of Internet security and the conscious use of global network resources.•Providing ICT trainers and adult educators with the right tools, knowledge base and skills to shape attitudes among adults in the conscious use of modern technologies.•Improving the ICT competences of adults in the EU and building an information society.Support will cover the following categories of participants:•Experts - from 2 to 4 people from each Partner country (8-10 people) with a minimum of 2 years of expert experience in their field. They will be specialists in such fields as, among others: teaching methodology, adult training, including ICT training, cyber-security, new media and digital culture, multimedia technologies, training techniques, creation of educational materials.•ICT trainers / educators for adults - 4 people from each partner country - a total of 12 people working with adults on an everyday basis, conducting trainings in the field of raising broadly defined ICT competences. They will be people who cooperate with partner organizations.•Participants of dissemination workshops - adults representing such entities as, among others: adult training institutions, NGO's working for adult education, employers, local government units, universities of the third age.The most important actions taken to achieve the planned effects include:•Work on the results in international interdisciplinary teams of experts, including international project meetings of staff and experts aimed at developing high quality products that meet the standards set by the Partnership institutions.•Testing developed methods and tools during international training of trainers (12 people), that will support the transfer of knowledge and give the opportunity to verify the quality of results in practice and make necessary corrections and updates.•Conducting dissemination workshops for at least 90 adults (in each country the workshops will cover at least 30 people).•Further dissemination - reaching interested organizations, institutions, people, will increase the chances of widespread use of results. All the project activities have been designed to contribute to the overarching objective (in line with the European Commission's policy), which is to raise the competences of key ICT competences among adults in the EU and to build an information society. This will happen thanks to the creation of a modern adult ICT education program that takes into account the contemporary Internet challenges (both threats and opportunities). The results of intellectual work developed within the framework of the project are:•O1 - Modular Digital Competences Training Program ""iAware"" - a training program developed in a practical and functional way, with five thematic modules that take into account issues related to online threats, their identification and counteraction, active participation in the information society, conscious use of information and communication technologies.•O2 - Educational platform ""iAware"" - an Internet application where other project results will be made available in digital form. It will enable trainers to conduct trainings in an attractive way, using multimedia dedicated to individual modules. Also individuals who want to improve their competences in the field of conscious use of ICT will be able to use it, since it’s an open source tool.•O3 - Methodological guide with instructions for the trainer - Instructions for the use of tools for ICT trainers and educators working with adults published in the form of an e-book. It will focus on comprehensive and substantive support for the development of trainers in the areas of competence of the most demanding interventions, in relation to the problems and needs diagnosed in the project. The Partnership will ensure the further functioning of the online platform with downloadable materials available on it. Free access of users to materials will be maintained also after the end of the project. The platform will be supported by the functioning of profiles on social networking sites. The results of intellectual work will be used in other projects and initiatives undertaken by the applicant and partner organizations.Partner organisations:•EURO-FORUM, POL•PRISM, ITA•COFAC, POR"

As part of the EU Integrated Maritime Policy (2012), it aims to strengthen the potential for jobs and growth of EU's seas. This requires investing in a well-skilled workforce to meet the labour market needs. However, coastal communities are often isolated with limited access to technology, public infrastructure, training opportunities, lack of financial resources for local start-ups, lack of coherent marketing strategies and the inability to diversify activities to overcome seasonality, which limit the sector’s capacity to create sustainable jobs. Various EU studies emphasise that the maritime industry does not currently provide to professionals the potential for different careers opportunities in the sector.PESCAVET’s main objective is to create favourable conditions for increased opportunities for sustainable entrepreneurship in the pesca-tourism sector and to contribute to the development of coastal communities in the Mediterranean and Black sea basins. The main target group addressed are professionals either currently employed in or/and unemployed desiring to enter the pesca-tourism sector wishing to develop their competences. The latter is a relatively new concept of fisheries related tourism aiming to support the supplement incomes of fishermen and their families and to provide knowledge on mechanisms for creating attractive activities for tourists visiting the coast. The project aims to contribute to society awareness about the problems of the marine sector and traditional fishing culture and to the improvement of entrepreneurial skills via the implementation of a benchmark exercise on new processes and marketing techniques for designing, promoting and review of products or services in pesca-tourism (IO1), the creation of a Gateway for technical support with specific training and coaching activities (IO2) and the development of an e-course on enhancing entrepreneurial skills in pesca-tourism (IO3).The PESCAVET project brings together 4 partners from 4 countries in the Mediterranean and Black Sea basins (LV, IT, CY, BG), dealing with Blue Economy, providing a coherent response to the challenges faced by the sector, complementing existing initiatives developed by various stakeholders. The total number of people, who will benefit from or will be targeted via the project activities during its duration, is moderately estimated at approximately 5000 people. Partners in each country will aim to achieve, as much as possible, the number of such beneficiaries and, in general, of people informed about the project, its objectives and results attained. It is expected that this will contribute towards greater awareness of the issues with opportunities to develop the needed competences for the up skilling of professionals working and/or wishing to enter the blue economy sectors. The implementation of the aforementioned actions is expected to result in the:• Change the way of thinking of different communities in the Mediterranean area and Black Sea, to a more comprehensive approach, establishing the pesca-tourism concept in one of the most attractive areas in Europe;• Boost the sustainable economic growth of the European maritime sectors, upgrading the services of the marine environment, its resources and the cultural heritage in the most sustainable way.• Improvement of the employ ability skills related to fisheries related tourism and competences of professionals planning to choose a career path in this field;• Increased awareness of pesca-tourism potential and increased visibility and attractiveness of blue career opportunities not only for professionals but for the wider public;• Increase of the awareness of benefits from the modernisation and transformation of the pescatourism sector for society and the local economies;• Building and strengthening partnerships between the organisations participating in the project; This project will also include 4 transnational project meetings that will contribute to the preparation, implementation and evaluation phase of the project. All information gathered and the promotion of the project itself will then be uploaded on the Gateway. Multiplier events and a joint staff training are also foreseen. Furthermore, the Consortium will deliver an Action Plan for presenting the project results offered for further valorisation of PESCAVET and specific recommendations for further development of new training courses and the PESCAVET Gateway sustainability.Considering that the identified challenges and needs regard not only the participating countries in specific, but the majority of EU countries and that the efforts of the EC targeting the maritime sector aim the whole of the EU, the aim of the project should be treated trans nationally.

Language is the key competence for this. We want to enable young Europeans to study in other European countries. In doing so, we focus on countries that are less in demand and languages that are less widely spoken. Learning these languages in a relatively short time requires sophisticated didactics and methodology. The process of getting to the foreign country for studies can be tricky. One barrier mabe language skills. Comprehensive methodology and didactics for teaching languages as a second language for newcomers rapidly has not been developed yet. Insufficient or no support (both didactic and formal) has been found in any of the partner countries. In the process of looking for solutions for the above described challenges, the partnership of TeachMEproject decided to create neuro didactic based online tools not only for international students but also for teachers, educators and facilitators of such intensive language courses. The project is based on a partnership located in Romania (Transilvania University of Brașov), Poland (FRAME), Czech Republic (Language School PELICAN), Germany (JGU), and Italy (PRISM). Project partnership offers a balanced mix of university expertise, language teaching proficiency, music and art-based methods experience and technical expertise. We start from the premise that teaching languages as a foreign language has become an important and constantly developing field, whose importance in a contemporary multicultural society is increasing due to the increasing number of foreigners in many European countries. The number of international students has been on a rise globally in the last years. In 2016, there were nearly 5.1 million international students in the EU (i.e. 2.3% of all tertiary students), up from 2.1 million in 2000. (UNESCO Institute of Statistics, 2018). However, reports of UNESCO (2018) and EVP of Global Engagement and Research (2019, see Studyportals) show the economic benefits of the increasing international higher-education enrollment in European and other countries. Beside the visible financial impact, plenty of intangible positive impacts can be associated with the international students. One of the key conditions for the success of international students is, however, their ability to command the host-country language or the language they will use for their studies. Usually, international students have a clear idea of what field of study they plan to attend and they are ready to work very hard to achieve their goals. Prospective foreign students are usually required to sit for language tests or to take entrance exams in the host country language. A research report commissioned by NAFSA (Association of International Educators) investigated the scope of third-party providers offering intensive English preparation programs with academic credit for international students in the United States (NAFSA research on the landscape of third-party pathway partnerships in the US, 2017). However, in less usually studied languages, these preparation lessons are missing entirely and the students are limited with their language development to standard courses of general Czech, Polish, Italian, German, Romanian and other languages they want to convey their university studies in.<< Objectives >>The project will bring significant learning outcomes to students who want to study in the host-country language since it will offer innovative blending of synchronous and asynchronous learning. International students get authentic information about language structures, they learn vocabulary, culture and civilization, grammatical structures specific to each host-country language and the mechanisms of their usage. They will integrate appropriate grammatical structures in the oral and written discourse, in real-life communicative contexts. In contrast to students that spend their time in countries with minor languages and study English programmes, we want international students not only to choose countries less in demand but also to immerse into the host country language and culture. In this way, students are more connected to their learning and integrate knowledge and skills with other areas of their lives. Based on the innovative approach to learning, we expect that partner organizations will attract more foreign students to study at universities in partner countries with minor languages. The objectives of the TeachME project are:- To increase the number of young adults who want to learn minor european languages- To establish a European role model: a set of intensive language programs tailored to the needs of youth interested in the study at a foreign university in any of the partner countries.- To promote transnational cooperation and mutual learning between the partners who represent different sectors of education in order to improve education systems, structures and processes.- To support exchanges and make visible good practices, dialogue, mutual learning and cooperation among policymakers, practitioners and stakeholders from partner countries.<< Implementation >>During the realisation of the project, 5 Project Results will be prepared with all partners cooperating on their development: University Roadmap for Foreigners - Mapping of necessary steps in partner countriesA neuro didactic concept for intensive teaching of a host-country language as a foreign language through multimodal and blended learning approachesMethods and tools for teaching a host-country language in blended learning and online coursesGuide for facilitators of intensive language coursesTeachMe platform with Interactive library Their final version will be the result of mutual cooperation of the whole consortium, inputs from expert interviews, testing and piloting and finally feedback from multiplier events. Expert interviews will be organized by the coordinator in months 7-8 to collect the best input for the project results 2, 3 and 4. Piloting of all outputs will be realised in months 22-23. There will be 4 partner meetings held in months 2, 9, 16 and 24 in different partner countries. Multiplier events will be organized in all partner countries after piloting during month 23 when all project outputs are finalized. 40 participants are expected to attend each multiplier event.Final Conference will be held in month 24 in Mainz, Germany, along with the final partner meeting. The international conference is expected to host 60 participants. Besides the Project Results development and related activities, a number of other activities will be realised in project management and dissemination field:- Setting up Project Steering Committee- Creation of Project Management Manual- Development of Logo & Website- Creation of Dissemination Plan- Social Network campaign - establishment and running of project profiles- Project Leaflet development and distribution- Cross-Linking – exchanging of project website links with other similar projects, - Co-Operation And Networking Activities - Creation of Publications- Preparation of Exploitation Plan - Reporting - there will be 4 Financial and Activity Reports prepared during the project cycle in months 7, 13, 19 and at the end of the project.<< Results >>On a policy level this project contributes to a better understanding of less known European countries, their language and culture. On an educational policy level this project wants to overcome systemic segregation between different education sectors, e.g. between the HE sector and the VET sector, language centres at universities and private or NGO language schools. On the level of knowledge and theory of teaching and learning this project wants to develop a totally new concept which answers all challenges of digital learning which at the latest came through with the Pandemic. There are 5 tangible products of the project. Their main aim is to prepare future students through all the stages necessary for the university in the partner countries and enable teachers, educators and facilitators to do so.Tangible project results:1. A UNIVERSITY ROADMAP FOR FOREIGNERS: MAPPING OF NECESSARY STEPS IN PARTNER COUNTRIES. It is a practical click-on map of links, infographics, videos and other materials useful for preparing for studies in a foreign country. The roadmap will be a complete guide providing information needed to begin to live and study in a specific country. All the information will be translated into partner languages and languages of the main migrant group of students in respective countries.2. A NEURO DIDACTIC CONCEPT FOR INTENSIVE TEACHING OF A HOST-COUNTRY LANGUAGE AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE THROUGH MULTIMODAL AND BLENDED LEARNING APPROACHES. It is an innovative, neurodidactic-based concept for intensive language education of host-country language whose main goal is to provide an overview of the principles of language teaching in digital and blended-learning courses, most innovative, up-to-date approaches and proven and successful methodology suitable for intensive teaching in the field of host- country language.3. METHODS AND TOOLS FOR TEACHING A HOST-COUNTRY LANGUAGE IN BLENDED LEARNING AND ONLINE COURSES is based on the principles presented in PR2. A methodical tool will equip teachers/educators with the knowledge and skills on how to teach effectively in online digital classes, how to be flexible and adapt their learning methods to circumstances and how to transfer knowledge from teacher to student in a digital environment, including the concept of “online digital class” as the modern medium for the transition of knowledge.4. GUIDE FOR FACILITATORS OF INTENSIVE LANGUAGE COURSES. The main idea is to gather in one virtual place all project outcomes. Besides that, it will be used by the partners to create an interactive library section that will be a good and useful pool of interactive resources, materials and tools that the language teacher can use during the learning process.5. TEACHME PLATFORM WITH INTERACTIVE LIBRARY will be a virtual place to upload all project outcomes, host the TeachMe methods and tools, provide interactivity and serve as a databank of resources and self-preparatory tests for language teachers and foreigners/students.Intangible results for teachers:- Acquisition of multimedia teaching tools experiences and competences as well as multicultural and language skills for their professional and personal profile- Broadening their teaching repertoire through innovative tools and methods- Experience of European dimension especially for those who will join the piloting and join staff training. Connection and exchange of feedback among them- Communication and collaborative learning at global levelIR for learners:- One-year intensive courses in minor languages aim to increase students’ awareness for Europe, empower them and educate them to be productive global citizens- Increasing students’ functional knowledge of a foreign country and a minor language- Increased motivation to learnIR for project partners are numerous - improved expertise in language didactics and teaching, cross-sectoral transfer of knowledge, expansion of field-related networks, contact and visibility with stakeholder

Farah,ENOROS CONSULTING LIMITED,UPRC,IBONIS EUROPEAN RESEARCH PROJECTSFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2021-1-EL01-KA220-ADU-000033795Funder Contribution: 197,309 EUR<< Background >>Upon arrival and in the very early stages of the integration process, migrants encounter many difficulties in their social integration in an unfamiliar country. They are unaware of their benefits and rights concluding in the fact that there are still many discrepancies and gaps in EU Member States (MS) concerning the access of migrants to basic health services and rights and on the other hand, migration crisis in relation with the pandemic crisis of Covid-19 deteriorated more the problems of the effective integration and inclusion of migrants in the host countries. Since the beginning of the Global Pandemic, Covid-19 and the serious problems and consequences in all countries globally, healthcare systems have been much overstretched and migrants didn’t and still don’t receive the proper support or information they need to their health rights. Addressing the challenges that migrants face upon and after their arrival is crucial and especially to know and expect their basic health rights as Covid-19 continues to cause hardship. As a result, a Global Action Plan 2019-2023 for promoting the health of refugees and migrants was set by the World Health Organization (WHO) and HealthMi Project aims to contribute to this global support to migrants following also EU Regulations and policies. HealthMi Project focuses on the improvement of the access to healthcare services of migrants and aims to identify innovative ways of reducing inequalities in access and provision of health through models and strategies that support the reorientation of specialists and strengthen competent healthcare compiling best practises for vulnerable migrants with a focus on psycho-social aspects and chronic diseases. The project will foster respect and understanding for diversity in Health, intercultural and civic competences, but also it will enable health values and citizenship within the EU in order also tο understand the educational needs of migrants regarding the healthcare system better. Moreover, the project objective is to support the integration of migrants in terms of using the health services and quality information for local healthcare services and systems and enable migrants to come in contact with local healthcare professionals/ health experts/ counsellors, psychologists, advisors and social workers who are responsible and have the quality information that migrants need in order to explore and understand the local healthcare service and system of the host country gaining access and guidelines to have effective health care and wellbeing living in a foreign country ensuring also their self protection and safety. Under this context, HealthMi develops 4 Project Results and its consortium consists of 5 Partners exploring innovative actions to improve healthcare services to migrants. The main target groups of the project are migrants and health care professionals. Psychologists, social workers or professionals involved with migrants will support the training sessions of the project and will have an impact in all WPs activities. During the project, the consortium will mainly develop a Code of Conduct for Health Literacy, In service training program for healthcare professionals, a Hybrid Training Curriculum for migrants and a Multilingual Gateway. It is expected that the project will have a major impact on migrants, healthcare professionals and the society in general. During the project, the consortium will mainly develop a Code of Conduct for Health Literacy (R1), In service training Program for Healthcare Professionals (R2), a Hybrid Training Curriculum for Migrans (R3) and HealthMi Multilingual Gateway (R4). The total number of people who will directly and indirectly benefit from the project in general, is estimated at 5000 people. The project will have some horizontal activities such as the Project Management, Coordination, Bilateral Agreements, Meetings, Activity Reports, External Evaluation, Dissemination and Exploitation Strategy.<< Objectives >>HealthMi aims to foster respect and understanding for diversity in Health, intercultural and civic competences, but also it will enable health values and citizenship within the EU in order also tο understand the educational needs of migrants regarding the healthcare system better. HealthMi Project includes the development of innovative tools and models locally and transnationally for in order to facilitate migrants access to healthcare services and systems by reducing and facing any obstacles and problems occurred during their arrival but also the current pandemic of Covid-19. The project implements training programmes for both migrants and health professionals. The project will engage local citizens, representatives of health organizations, health professionals and mentors, public and private key actors working or involved with migrants and stakeholders. Convincing these crucial actors of the hosting societies to get involve in project's activities is a vital determinant of the quality and sustainability of the project. Helping newly arrived migrants tackle health problems requires a high number of specific competences, especially considering the need for an integrated and targeted approach. The engaged health professionals, mentors or social workers or mediators from the local communities need to be able to deploy a wide number of approaches, to deal with psychological problems and mental health of migrants. The development of the Code of Conduct, the Training Programme, the Curriculum and the Multilingual Gateway will foster exchanges of knowledge, needs, mental problems of migrants and raise awareness of the needs of migrants, of health professionals, national authorities and the society in general. These activities will involve local community (individuals, health organizations, NGOs, authorities, stakeholders) and will enhance mutual understanding about the current illnesses, global pandemic, frustration and psychological problems of not only migrants but also locals. This is in line with the current policies of the participating countries: Inclusion and access to basic services and rights in the host countries and equal participation of all citizens, both nationals and foreign nationals, without considering foreigners as a separate group, discriminating them or having the stereotype that migrants bring more illnesses to a country. All partners will follow the guidelines of WHO and EU Migration Agenda and Action Plan following also the EU Charter of migrant’s fundamental rights. Also the project aims to achieve: •Increased awareness of the obstacles faced by migrants to access healthcare services and the possible solutions by relevant actors across the EU; •Increased capacities of representatives of the hosting society and institutions to recognise and to respond to needs of newly arrived migrants; •Fostered transnational cooperation to facilitate the transfer of experience, knowledge and practices and lessons learnt related to the health care services of third-country nationals within the partners of the project;•Improved access to comprehensive health care services for migrants including mental health, women and children's health, taking into account cultural differences; •Facilitated the dissemination of experience, knowledge and practices beyond the partners of the project to develop more effective actions, including by evaluating the impact of the actions developed; •Improved access to health care services, housing, education, financial services, social welfare rights and/or labour market; •Improved coordination between relevant stakeholders; following the implementation of the projects’ actions. •Improved transnational coordination and cooperation between the relevant stakeholders.<< Implementation >>In parallel with the project’s research and development activities and throughout the project implementation period, a set of horizontal activities will be implemented.A1.
