The tools have changed. This change brought with it new professions, extinguishing others. These new professions require new skills, skills for the 21st century, namely ICT, communication, collaborative work, analysis ... The acquisition of these skills has become one of the main challenges of the coming times, not only for our students, but also for our teachers and schools. At the moment we are at a turning point in terms of relations between countries and between the people from different countries, with different backgrounds and cultures. All around the world, the intolerance and fear of the other seem to increase and those values are contrary to the European ideal. It is relevant to make young people aware of the dangers of spreading these values and endow them with skills and values that make them the actors and builders of a more tolerant and safer future that will be more according to the ideals of the European construction. Our historical and cultural differences are the richness of our world in general and of Europe in particular. Thus, knowing and being aware of those differences becomes ptimordial to understand and accept them, and thus accept, understand and tolerate the other. We also intend to show and share what is done in each of the partner countries in this field, but also to show new and effective ways of preserving and disseminating the history and culture of the partner countries. In order to know these histories and cultures, students will develop a set of research activities in certain places / spots, research activities during their classes as well as individual research. The result of these researches will be used to build, through the application ""Aurasma"", objects in augmented reality. To achieve this, videos and other learning objects are prepared in a creative way, through which the cultural, artistic and historical life of the different cities that integrate the project will be known. Finally, these same videos and objects will be converted in Augmented Reality (RA) using the Aurasma application. These objects will be used in a geocaching activity, held in each of the partner cities, which will help students discover the history and culture of that city. What goals do we intend to achieve with this project? A) To develop in the students skills for the 21st century; B) To develop skills in new technologies, exploring the possibilities of Augmented Reality. C) To improve the teaching and learning process inside and outside the classroom, making learning an easy, engaging and innovative experience; D) To help the student to research and manipulate information in a creative, collaborative and committed way; E) To help students communicate with confidence and clearly in a variety of ways and in a variety of situations. F) To help students collaborate, speak and listen with esteem and respect for others, and work in diverse teams, exploring the differences to create new ideas. G) To know and understand the history and culture of the partner countries of the project; H) To develop in young people feelings of tolerance and acceptance of the other. 2. This project will target young people between the ages of 14 and 17. Thus, with the project we intend to involve around 2500 students, teachers and the local and educational community The activities will take place between October 2017 and May 2018, and will be organized in two parts: 1. Activities developed in parallel/ at the same time: - Each partner, in their environment and country, will develop a set of activities and visits/trips (monuments, cultural events ...) with their group of students. They will also carry out research and work on the history and culture of the respective city. The results and products of these activities will be shared with all partners. I. October-December 2017 - Contest for the project logo: - Theoretical approach: the history and culture of my country. - Interviews and analysis of monuments and culture; - Preparation of C1 (presentation of the country, region and school) Ii. January - May 2018 - Creating Auras Visits to the monuments and test of the ""auras"" built. - Preparation of C2 Iii. September 2018 - May 2019 - Maintenance and updating of the ""Auras"" built - Preparation of C3 - Preparation of C4 Visit to a city that applies augmented reality in its tourist routes 2. Activities carried out together with the partners during T / L activities (short-term exchange of students) The partners will develop a program for these mobilities, according to what their region has to offer. - The first day of each mobility will basically have the same program: discover the city and host school. The remaining days will be planned by the host school, and will include geocatcher activity and visits to more historical sites (in order to show the historical and cultural background of each partner) and others with tourist value."

They had the opportunity to participate in the selection process and were awarded extra points if they were in any of the situations mentioned above. We engaged them in the planned activities by involving them in preparing materials for the meetings - presentations of schools, countries, regions, presentations of their religions, customs and traditions. They acted with responsibility as they were representatives of their own culture. Each school developed a specific plan in order to support their participation - in the form of prizes, smallincentives such as including their names as authors of materials, an aspect which was meant to help them boost their confidence and develop a sense of active participation in the school life. They also were involved in the activities according to their talents such as: singing, playing (traditional) instruments, dancing, artwork, presenting the project in the institution/community; creating Erasmus+corners; designing brochures, project logo and posters.

It’s a project of international cooperation, international relations of four places with different culture, different educational systems and different integration in EU because of their location. The priority of the partnership LET’S BUILD THE CITY OF OUR FUTURE is through using ICT and English as a foreign language to study in non-formal class environment with a help of games and to share didactics and teachers’ opinion about the future of the cities in our digital era.During the project period, our goal will be to use new technologies and to make students think of the city of their future. What is the city they would like to live in? How vital will be the role of new technologies in buildings, infrastructure, transports? How can we increase the use of clear and renewable energy? Moreover, what will be a city’s inhabitants’ needs throughout ages? We will focus on the development and the evaluation of the new topics that we implement in the school lessons of Geography, History, Ethics and ICT. The easiest way of learning is playing with joy and enjoying the results. That is the motivation to create games as final, sustainable products - board and online games to help students learning about Europe playing in non-formal context with classmates and friends through an international content. We hope to make our students understand they should have a position in their future environment. Also that school should not be an isolated, closed community-it should be the place where young people and future citizens learn how to play an active role in a democratic society. We will achieve these goals by involving our students in formal and non-formal teaching activities. Over the following two years they will study, conduct research, do field work, use new technologies, compile questionnaires, prepare presentations and so on. They will also be in contact with governmental organizations and local authorities. They will collect data, elaborate them, think critically and draw conclusions. All the work will be done in national and mixed groups. The teachers will encourage the transnational collaboration via e Twinning and will use the benefits of the platform during the learning, teaching and training activities. By working together on different data coming from their own country, the students will become aware of similarities and differences in various aspects: history, geography, mentality, way of life etc. This is absolutely vital for the students to enhance intercultural understanding, tolerance and develop a European identity. Working together with their European schoolmates and living with them during mobilities will provide our students with the ideal opportunity to improve their foreign language skills and gain confidence. Besides, the selection of the students will not be based on their grades. Students who face economical and geographical obstacles and less diligent ones will also have the chance to participate and obtain a different school experience and in this way their relationship with schooling will be improved and early school dropping will be prevented. To ensure the project communication and to implement the objectives we have teams for responsibility and support: coordination (France - Brétigny), evaluation (Greece), dissemination (France - Réunion), final output–the game (Bulgaria), mobility and activities, organization teams (coordinators of each school). Furthermore, we will involve not only students but their parents. Via our clear, strict timetable all teams will manage activities and follow deadlines strictly. The researchers and activities are shared between the partners and all will be responsible for the better passing of project. Instead of separation in different teams the project schedule is based on support and collaboration of the participants. The project LET’S BUILD THE CITY OF OUR FUTURE will leave :- tangible results : board and online games, new ICT skills, improved spoken English, eTwinning project page, diaries, brochures, reports and etc.- intangible results : ways of working, changes in students attitudes and many insights gained that shown afterwards. We will use the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform for the visualization of the achievement and results sharing. The School Education Gateway will promote our project through a public website. Therefore, our project will be opened to other educational stakeholders in order to encourage cooperation between schools and other organizations. We strongly believe that our project will trigger students’ thinking on the future they would like to live in (cities, building, transports, energies). And since future planning outgrows national boundaries the ideal setting to do this is within a European strategic partnership.

These positive prerequisites are an effective basis for the development and implementation of the main project objectives. A robust working framework and plan, as well as cooperation between partners and ongoing communication during the DARE project, have led to positive partnership results. They are all closely related to the problems of democracy.• Objectives;Throughout the project, students had the opportunity to create new products and make decisions. They were part of an innovative social process. Working with different IT tools, participating in formal and non-formal learning activities, conducting research and producing project results - presentations, videos, films, electronic dictionary on democracy, book History of Democracy, DARE by ART exhibitions, participation in elections, participation in A Youth Parliament, discussing social issues, participating in a European club, and other activities underpinning the project, led students to realize their civic attitude and their sense of democracy. The DARE project has conducted innovative educational activities beyond the traditional classroom, which takes advantage of students' ability to support entrepreneurship and practical work. Thanks to the work of teachers and pupils within the project, the goals have been achieved and participants have gained benefits while exploring democratic processes.• Number and profile of participating organizationsThe DARE project identified an exchange of 108 people from 4 European schools in training activities and transnational meetings that took place in the four partner countries. The participants in the learning activities were selected according to clear criteria. Three transnational meetings on the planning, coordination and evaluation project were organized involving project team teachers. The school community in each partner represents the indirect participants in the DARE project. The number of these indirect participants was much higher due to the fact that many students, teachers and parents were involved in the indirect impact of the project.• Description of undertaken main activitiesThrough effective work, pupils and teachers from each partner school have been able to carry out all major activities - to popularize the results of the DARE project at school, city and national level; to produce promotional material on the project; to organize exhibitions; to create an electronic dictionary of democracy; to create an e-book on democracy; presentations on the topics and subtopics of the project, which are excellent teaching materials.• Results and impact attainedThe DARE project is a well-structured plan that identifies the partners' needs for its implementation and benefits for direct and indirect participants. According to a consistent DARE methodology, planned activities were carried out, results achieved and indicators for evaluation and monitoring of development were established through cooperation between partners. The results helped to raise participants' knowledge, entrepreneurial and critical thinking. Participants gained the skills to share European values; to realize and develop career opportunities; to create conditions for communication in English and teamwork. An important part of the project's impact is to foster friendly attitude among the participants and to establish partnerships with external organizations. The project plan includes four student exchange meetings. Three transnational project meetings took place at the beginning, mid and end of the period, during which teachers discussed change, assessed effectiveness, identified risks, discussed challenges, shared experiences, and coordinated activities between partners. All the activities planned in the DARE project and their outcomes were beneficial to pupils, teachers, parents and stakeholders, like other colleagues and schools who were able to integrate and use them in their work. The dissemination of project results and activities has had a major impact on the local community and regional education institutions. The results were published on the project website and in the Erasmus + Project Results PlatformRecognizing that Facebook is a powerful tool for disseminating the project's activities and results, we have created a group and page of the DARE project to help extend the project audience: DARE / group / and Erasmus + DARE project in European schools / page /.
