Adama Mickiewicza,Yane Sandanski Profiled High School,Viesoji istaiga Panevezio profesinio rengimo centrasFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2018-1-MK01-KA229-047115Funder Contribution: 92,922 EUR"Following the latest world information, we have come to the conclusion that children with autism and social obstacles will increasingly be represented in society and education. Given the experience so far, we have realized that the typical population does not know their characteristics and abilities and do not always show interest in cooperation and interaction with this population. Their horizons and experiences are very scarce and poor, and all this has prompted us to think in the direction of how to change it. Through our project: ""We are the same although we learn in a different way"" we believe we will achieve it.The main goal is: To prepare typical pupils and teachers to understand, accept and involve children with autism and social obstacles in society. The project will involve 14 students aged 15 to 17 from each partner school, 3 students with autism or social obstacles, 4 teachers and 1 profile from the professional service. Partners in the project will be schools from the Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland and Lithuania. 30 hours of workshops are planned on the topic: Autism and social obstacles in the primary schools and activities at 5 meetings in which all partner schools will take part. Two events will be organized: Word autism awareness day on April 2 and organizing a panel of experts on the topic: ""Socialization"". English classes, culture, risks and security will be organized. Through the activities, the participants will be introduced to the notion of autism, how many people with autism and social obstacles are represented in the general population and what are their characteristics. By acquiring the knowledge of the participants, one less known problem will be brought closer to them. They will realize that people with autism and social obstacles are among us and we need to create conditions to accept them in society. Something so unfamiliar, but widespread, will become familiar and understood. Through the activities of the project, teachers and students will learn the way of perceiving, the way of learning, the way of (non) communicating and what are the problems of people with autism and social obstacles. In this way, they will understand that although they are so different, they can engage actively in education and be successful. If we change the way of communication, the methodology of work and techniques and we accept diversity, we will greatly help children with autism and social obstacles. We will enrich the experience, work and personality of the participants.Collaborating with partner participants from other countries will exchange practices and ways to solve these problems in different countries across Europe. Opinions, knowledge and experiences will be exchanged and will be taught to communicate at a higher level. The trainings, workshops, events and exchange of experiences from the meetings will contribute to the participants in the project and other students and teachers from all partner schools and local people to engage in the process of social inclusion. Teachers will increase the capacity to work with students with autism and social obstacles . They will learn new methods and techniques. In this way, it will indirectly influence both the way of work and the typical students, because by applying the new knowledge they will see that each student is unique and special. They will realize that by adjusting the methods of work according to the abilities and possibilities of each student, the maximum offered by the student will be derived. All participants in the project will have long-term benefits from the implemented activities. Upon returning from joint meetings, the participants will transfer their experiences to other students and colleagues. The teachers will apply the new learned methods in the regular teaching within all subjects. The finished materials will be applied on the lessons. The participants will acquire the skills to create visual assets for these categories of children and make social stories that will be used in their later life. Students will acquire skills to communicate with children with autism and social obstacles . Project activities will contribute to changing our attitudes, opinions and feelings towards people with autism and social obstacles . Through joint engagement and mutual cooperation and assistance, we will help people with autism and social obstacles not feel isolated in their environment, they will understand that we want to help and that we are here for them. All this will enrich everyone with new experiences, newfound feelings and will raise us to a higher level of functioning. The results of the project will be presented through: media (local radio and TV), logo of the project, printing and distribution of an information brochure, prepared web site and Facebook profile and a final event in all schools. In this way, the dissemination of the information and the achieved results of the project will be carried out."

According to the definition of the European Union, entrepreneurship is the ability of an individual to translate ideas into practice, which includes creativity, innovation, sense of initiative and risk-taking, as well as the ability to plan and manage projects with the aim of achieving certain results (The Council of the European Union). These crucial skills are teachable and must be integrated into educational subjects at all levels. We consider that this topic is of major importance in schools’ education and the teachers must develop the students entrepreneurial skills in order to become successful in their future careers. The Project ‘21st Century Entrepreneurs’s main aim is to develop the students’ key competences within the frame of entrepreneurship. These key competencies are creativity, innovation and risk taking, as well as the ability to plan and manage projects. ability to identify available opportunities for personal, professional and/or business activities, and a broad understanding of the workings of the economy,The activities that will lead to the achievement of these aims are job shadowing days, creative workshops, creation of sales sites, case studies of successful entrepreneurs, market days, business plans, traditional arts and crafts, bake sales, marketing strategies, pricing activities, branding, and advertisement activities. Entrepreneurship education is a creative process rather than a mechanical one. Therefore, teaching would be challenging and problematic and requires new and active teaching methods. The methodologies we used are the most effective, and include group project, case study, individual projects, writing business plans, practical experience in producing and selling products and services, learning from mistakes, development of a new venture creation project, and problem-solving, group discussion, official speech, interviewing entrepreneurs, simulations, and company visits. In long term, the project aims to make students ready and equipped for the future labor market and contribute to the development of the economy. Moreover, this education, which takes children one step ahead of others in terms of creating opportunities, also helps to raise individuals who are sensitive to social equality, but also to help students lay the foundations of a strong self-confidence that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. The project is carried out by six partners from Portugal, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Poland, Turkey and Spain. Some of the partners are big groups of schools from urban areas (The Bulgarian school, Portuguese, Turkish, Lithuanian and Polish) and rural schools like the Spanish one. No matter what the profile of the schools is, the students are facing the same problems (lack of jobs due to the high unemployment rate, or the difficulty of finding a suitable job they can do) so to help them, we believe that entrepreneurial education should be a requirement in these schools. All the partners have a certain degree of experience in this field, but we felt that this theme was treated superficially, and, through the exchanged carried on in this project we aimed to reach the depths of this topic and learn new and innovative practices from each other. All the schools are planning to continue the entrepreneurial education by introducing this topic in the curriculum and by opening an extra-curricular Entrepreneurial school club dedicated to charitable actions. The project involves a total number of 700 students (100 students with fewer opportunities), aged between 10 to 14 years old, and a number of 60 teachers. In addition to this number, many other teachers, school principals, psychologists, councilors, and institutions (such as NGOs, companies, city halls, higher education institutions) will work on the implementation of the activities. Parents are also directly involved in this project as they will participate in workshops or open days events organized in each school. The project is based on six short-term exchanges of groups of pupils that include all of the most important elements of entrepreneurial education: basic principles of economy and European regulations of opening a business, marketing strategies, mix marketing, financial literacy and entrepreneurial key competences. The Erasmus partners also worked an eTwinning project together, called ‘Be an Entrepreneur: Start today not (216086). eTwinning project was the space where the partners first introduced their schools and themselves and got to work with each other as a team. The project was used to create student's background for our project. The eTwinning platform is also used for the dissemination of the project's results and for the project management meetings.

In fact, the survey found an increase in students who find reading “a waste of time”, and that fewer students read for enjoyment purposes. In this era of fake news and accessibility of information via the internet, students must also have digital literacy when it comes to reading online. As the report states, “All students need to be able to read complex texts, distinguish between credible and untrustworthy sources of information, and between fact and fiction, and question or seek to improve the accepted knowledge and practices of our times.”All the six countries participating in this project fall into this category of those 79 countries. In order to see what the motivation in reading in students is,we all 6 partners(Bulgaria,Turkey,Malta,Poland,Portugal and Italy) conducted a research, targeted 10-14 years-old students. The problem of lack of interest in reading for enjoyment was documented with student surveys, teacher observations, and reading inventories. Students’ negative attitudes and low self-esteem were found to contribute to lack of motivation. It also provided evidence that students who have access to material of interest are more likely to read and thus improve their reading achievement and attitudes. The aim of our project is to teach pupils a variety of ways to communicate with each other and share their learning and also open their minds to the fact that new ways of collaboration are being developed all the time.We aim to promote the concept of reading for pleasure and we ensure that we include a range of ‘real books’ within the project activities as well as the opportunity for sustained reading from a range of interesting activities.Overal objectives:-To promote the love of reading (and have fun)-To increase the rate of reading in students-To make reading funnier-To develop digital abilities in students and having students being all technology literate students, active and participatory people in the future -To increase the self-confidence-To introduce web.2 tools and using them in projects-To develop and strengthen professional links with other countries-To use innovative ways to promote learning and develop new skills-To develop a better understanding of EU focus and standardsTangible results:-short films with answers of 3 questions(selection process)-brochure and a poster(dissemination material)-DVDs with the Harry Potter's Week highlights -cards for KAMISHIBAI theatre-a film and photos tutorial -LAPBOOKS -SLEEVEFACE posters -book made by wattpad.comIntangible results:Students will-be provided with experiences with language used in books-be motivated to read by involving them in reading as a pleasurable activity-expand vocabulary and improve reading skills-be challenged to think critically-be introduced to interesting for them literature-improve their self-esteem and gain confidence-be motivated to use ICT appsTeachers will:-learn and compare various teaching methods, strategies, techniques and approches of different education systems across Europe in order to develop good didactic practices-plan together a project cointaining active strategies and methodologies, different activities , the use of ICT and other didactic tools, final products, time and places implied in the learning-teaching process that will be constantly monitored and assessed in order to modify it, if necessary-develop an understanding of social and cultural similarities and differences between European partners through the discussion of significant topics-increase the European vision, the pedagogical language and motivation for personal and professional development.Parents will be offered:-More innovative and pioneering educational methods.-A positive, stronger view on Europe and active citizenship.Community will be offered:-Establishment of long term bonds with neighbor schools and institutions.-Dissemination of our project to the community will make its members more open minded to diversity.
