"- Performance enhancing in the linguistic, geographic and historical range- Increase of basic knowledge, world knowledge and understanding for cultural identities.- Consolidating of international contacts, to become acquainted with new learning and teaching methods and improving the ability of co-operations with foreign partnersThe importance of Cultural Heritage is being increasingly recognized by the EU in the recent years. Preservation and fruition of Cultural Heritage has been addressed by the Maastricht Treaty, 1993. In particular, the Title IX establishes that the EU must highlight the Cultural Heritage, and promote actions aiming to: preserve and safeguard the European Cultural Heritage; and improve the understanding and the dissemination of the culture and history of European people. Our project squarely fits in this policy: in fact, the project aims make more effective the fruition of Cultural Heritage information and knowledge by the students and by the general public. Thanks to the wide range of countries we have included pupils will understand it is easy to work and communicate with students from all ends of Europe. Cultural heritage is unique and irreplaceable. It helps us to understand previous generations and the history of where we come from, and its preservation is our responsibility. This idea will be reflected in our partnership ""Our Heritage UNESCO Unites Us"". Our project concentrates on the study of our surrounding cultural heritage, specially on those sites which have been included in the UNESCO list as a world cultural heritage. This project intends to make our students conscious of the importance of taking care and preserving the cultural heritage. We are 6 partners (The UK, Turkey, Estonia, Slovenia, Italy and Portugal) and there will be 6 LTT activities in each country. Students will promote their heritage from a tourist point of view and they will have the chance to compare and exchange knowledge and different cultural aspects with people from different countries. Students will become conscious of the importance of knowing and understanding the culture and history of European people as well as the importance of preserving their own cultural heritage by developing a wide range of activities before, during and after each meeting.- Before each meeting. Pupils will search for, gather and summarize information about the Heritage in their region. Then they will produce different materials such as power point presentations, posters, leaflets, calendars, films, pieces of art or handmade gifts. - During each meeting. Pupils will promote their heritage from a tourist point of view by presenting the results of their research, they will compare and exchange knowledge and the materials students created will be widely distributed by the members of the project. Students will also visit different world heritage sites and monuments. The exchange of experiences and the opportunity of living with foreigner families will enrich our students and give them the chance to develop and improve their language skills.- After each meeting. Pupils will write articles and make presentations to their peers from school about the new things they learn. All this material will be used to prepare and add information on the Erasmus+ Corner as well as social media. Finally, the knowledge they produce will be summarized in books, leaflets, audio-visual guides, photo album and other materials which will be widely distributed by the members of the project."
