    The objective of SUM is to transform current mobility networks towards innovative and novel shared mobility systems (NSM) integrated with public transport (PT) in more than 15 European Cities by 2026 reaching 30 by 2030. Intermodality, interconnectivity, sustainability, safety, and resilience are at the core of this innovation. The outcomes of the project offer affordable and reliable solutions considering the needs of all stakeholders such as end users, private companies, public urban authorities. SUM project will develop five pillars consisting of technological, co-creation, and policy tools to tackle the identified NSM barriers for a typical, car-focused family. These five pillars can increase the modal share of NSM via targeted push/pull measures and policy recommendations. SUM will introduce a federation of solutions including prediction, scheduling, integrated NSM-PT ticketing, and real-time NSM management. This created ecosystem will reduce the total door-to-door travel times using integrated NSM-PT. This can change the behavior of 34% of travelers using cars and 17% of travelers sceptic about using NSM. The partners in this diverse consortium have access to innovative tools and expertise making them uniquely positioned to tackle the barriers in 9 living labs and 30 organizations across Europe.

    FRONTIER aims to provide the network and integrated traffic management strategies of the future, taking into account new types and modes of transport and automated vehicles (including their logical and physical requirements), the minimization of pollution and capacity bottlenecks (including congestion and traffic jams), the reduction of accidents, and the need to reduce the cost of mobility for all users (both citizens, public authorities and businesses). On the operational level FRONTIER facilitates the transition towards resilient multimodal autonomous mobility by establishing the processes of collaboration and arbitration among stakeholders while developing the business models that will address the commercial viability of the identified solutions. FRONTIER will develop, apply and test autonomous management systems, secured by design, that will constantly evolve using data generated from real-time monitoring of the transportation system, knowledge generated by operators and decision makers, and simulation models providing system optimal solutions accounting for new mobility services and technologies. These systems will support and enact proactive decisions, realising our vision to empower a seamless transition to an autonomous and integrated transport management for future mobility services. FRONTIER will be validated in three pilot sites (Oxfordshire UK, Athens GR and Antewerp BE) focusing on three main themes: Smart Infrastructures and CAVs integration; Multimodal mobility for passengers and freight cross-stakeholders collaboration; Network performance analysis for planning and policy making. To materialize this concept, FRONTIER follows an efficient multidisciplinary approach bringing together partners from 5 universities and research institutes, 7 companies, 5 transport authorities from three diverse European countries, one testbed for traffic management and one international road federation.

    HARMONY envisages developing a new generation of harmonised spatial and multimodal transport planning tools which comprehensively model the dynamics of the changing transport sector and spatial organisation, enabling metropolitan area authorities to lead the transition to a low carbon new mobility era in a sustainable manner. Co-creation labs are established in order for citizens, authorities and industry to design together new mobility and spatial organisation concepts. At the same time, demonstrations with electric AVs, and drones take place to understand in real-life their requirements. Market surveys are organised to elicit people and freight actors' preferences and reactions towards the co-created concepts and the demonstrated new mobility technologies. The HARMONY model suite is designed to assess the multidimensional impacts of the new mobility concepts and technologies. The model suite integrates: 1. land-use models (strategic/long-term), 2. people and freight activity based models (tactical/mid-term), and 3. multimodal network (operational/short-term) models allowing for vertical planning. This integrated approach is necessary for authorities to understand if policies are sustainable, while also contribute to meeting COP22 targets, social equality and wellbeing. The HARMONY model suite is also linked to an EU-wide model to further identify the impact of the concepts and technologies on the TEN-T level. HARMONY's concepts and the model suite are applied and validated on six EU metropolitan areas on six TEN-T corridors: 1. Rotterdam(NL), 2. Oxfordshire(UK), 3. Turin(IT), 4. Athens(GR), 5. Trikala(GR), 6. Upper Silesian-Zaglebie Metropolis(PL). By having six different areas as pilots, we will be able to propose to authorities, spatial and transport planners, concepts and technologies for different types of areas/cities

    Mobility is crossing a new digital frontier in terms of connectivity, allowing vehicles to communicate to each other, to the infrastructure and to other transport systems users. However, the potential implications and impacts of integration of CCAM solutions into the mobility system are not well understood neither for specific actors nor for the systems level. MOVE2CCAM will: i) explore the impact of CCAM passenger and freight solutions; define use cases, business models and KPIs through co-creation activities with the “Satellites”, and ii) develop a practical system dynamics-based impact assessment tool that will enable the evaluation of CCAM interventions’ impact on mobility-, socio-economic-, public health- and environmental-related aspects considering diverse European region specifics and different actors’ needs, objectives and perceptions. The Satellites is a multi-systems network of actors across the whole CCAM ecosystem consisting of industries, authorities, researchers citizens, and orbits around the project by participating in a series of co-creation activities. Case studies for different types of organisations, dialogues, social simulation experiments, virtual reality games, and AV demonstrations take place in 8 European countries and at a pan-European level to collect data and specify the multi-systems impacts of CCAMs. The impact assessment tool will allow stakeholders to test and evaluate the system-wide impacts of CCAM interventions along with a range of complementary policies providing also a series of KPIs (within the project it is applied for Helmond(NL), GZM(PL), and Aegean Islands(GR). Given these activities, MOVE2CCAM significantly contributes to a well-founded understanding of the impacts of CCAMs. It will deliver impact evaluation frameworks and tools with KPIs covering sectors such as society, economy, and the environment; policy recommendations for CCAM partnerships and large-scale demonstrations; and recommendations for SUMP.

    SPINE’s vision is to accelerate the progress towards climate neutrality by reinforcing PT systems through their smart integration with new mobility services, sharing schemes, active transport modes, and micromomibilty. SPINE adopts an equity centred design thinking approach, leading the transition to a more efficient, sustainable, resilient, and inclusive PT system. A network of collaborative LLs is developed to foster transferability, while an intersectional view of the transport system users is applied. Four Lead City LLs in Antwerp, Bologna, Tallin and Las Palmas will be established, and a series of co-creation activities will take place where multiple stakeholders will be actively engaged in the development and demonstration of efficient, replicable, and socially acceptable innovative mobility solutions, advancing existing assets. The SPINE approach involves the creation of (a) innovative simulation and Digital Twining (DT) tools, along with open data and behavioural models, that will allow the building of scenarios combining different mobility interventions (push and pull measures along with supporting policies) and the implementation of the most promising ones; (b) data-driven impact assessment models that will foster the twinning, transferability and adaptation of the successful solutions of the four LLs in seven Twining Cities - Barreiro, Valladolid, Zilina, Sibenik, Hrakleion, Gdynia and Rouen-. SPIRE sets a high ambitious plan for the co-design and implementation of 55 smart greens inclusive mobility solutions. The SPINE consortium brings together a multidisciplinary team of 39 partners from 16 countries. The unique mix of experienced transport engineers, Public transport Operators, computer scientists, data analysts, transport modelers, social scientists, urban planners, policy analysts, software providers, within our consortium assures the comprehensive approach to the challenges, scope, expected impact and the successful delivery of the project.
