Mathematics has a clear impact on the mental development and logical processes of children. Number of graduates in mathematics and related disciplines is decreasing and there are poor competencies in areas that request high levels of mathematical skills. The same researches said that the poor attitude towards mathematics and the learning processes linked to the logical thinking, starts already in the first cycle of education, to go on with next studies, because mathematics is not proposed adequatly. The Project aims to find new and innovative approaches for maths teaching for young students who at this age are curious, exploratory, interrogative and have a rich imagination. To promote their development in this area, there has to be education mediums and we shall give them opportunities to investigate, to fulfill their curiosity and see their mistakes, let them guess and say their ideas. This is possible with maths where the activities lead the child's curiosity and feelings and develop their brain skills. We will help the students to see MATHS is everywhere in real life and is related to many subjects like Science, ICT , Drama, Arts and Music. Children will learn by observation, experimentation and discovery and find answers for their world, test new ideas and senses, activate their problem solving skills and reason abilities by playing games.Partnership brings together schools from Portugal, France , Turkey , Greece and Spain whose target group are students 11-14 and our focus will be on : -FUN MATHS : To show the children that maths is fun we will prepare games and fun mathematics materials , -MATHEMATİCS ARTS : There will be activities carried out using interdisciplinary methods of music, drama, creative drama, theater, drawing in the aim of developing children's main mathematical skills.-NATURE'S MATHEMATİCS : Maths is the language of the nature and every natural sight can be described with numbers. The shape of the snow, the area of a lake, the weight of a rabbit, the drop speed of a stone, a spiderweb, the hexagon of honeycomb shows us that maths is everywhere. There will be activities prepared to explore maths in the nature. -MATHS ON THE INFORMATICS LİGHTS : Learning atmosphere supported by computers, let the children use interactive software, solve the problems on a line, and learn mistakes by back ups. There will be computer activities to teach maths to children in a fun and enjoyable way , -CULTURAL MATHS GAMES : The project partners will enrich their cultural and maths traditional games and exchange with other partners. There will be maths games exchanging culture and tradition. In the end of the project an eBook will be created, containing all activities, games and events prepared and carried out during the project period, which may be a reference book to schools : -'MATHEMATICS GAMES '' which will be translated to all languages of partner countries besides English and the eBook forms will be available to be downloaded on the Project Website.A Kick off meeting is planed after the approval of the Project. 2 teachers from all partner schools will participate to this meeting in Aydın, Turkey. Four LTTs are planned in FR (2 schools) , GR , CR and PT. Teachers will have the chance to use the activities they will have prepared in different schools during the teaching and observation activities we planned. They will see the host school activities, their methods by teaching Mathematics and education in general at the school. They will transfer good experiences.By the end of the Project, the children will show more attention and interest in mathematical activities and they will easily assimilate basic numerical skills. Through interaction generated by the educational materials and innovative teaching, children will experience different learning situations:- they will be able to work in a noncompetitive environment based on the child specific needs – the game, - they will be more open and more interested in other peoples' culture, accepting the differences as value and not as an obstacle to a united Europe- Develop their own identity consciousness at local, national and European context, manifesting European citizenship from an early age.Schools participating in the project will establish relations between the leaderships of their assets in order to achieve the project activities and the exchange of experience and managerial solutions. Implementation of new pedagogical strategies and the use of new teaching materials acquired during the project will lead to changes in the curriculum, introducing optional (school curriculum) that will be based on the ideas implemented in this project.

Nowadays, young people prefer to spend a large part of their time interacting with their peers using social networks and modern technological devices like mobile phones or tablets. This is a sign of our times which has come to stay, and because of that our focus shouldn't be on stopping them from doing so. We'd rather make use of those same gadgets to foster our students' creativity using them while communicating with students with similar interests but from different backgrounds. However, even if we try to incorporate those devices, we will also get our students in touch with quality reading material to improve their linguistic skills while distracting them from the use of their mobiles at the same time. In this way, our students will also get to know the European cultural legacy, comparing the differences and similarities between the different countries. A purpose we have in mind is to develop our students' ICT proficiency by using other platforms like etwinning, youtube, blogs, etc. By means of these tools, our students will have the chance to communicate with students from other countries using English as their language of interaction, but it will also be possible for them to communicate using other languages like French, Portuguese or Spanish, languages which they are studying as a second language at their schools. And this will be so because they will be visiting countries where these languages are the native ones. One of our aims will be to provide our students with access to literary writers and works from different backgrounds and countries, so as to enrich their cultural perspective and knowledge, with a European scope. This knowledge will take place visiting places related to specific writers and literary works, or performing activities together with students from other countries, and thanks to this interaction and cultural exchanges, our students' maturity process will develop. Another important target will be to foster our students' creativity, by asking them to do activities in which they will have to produce a literary-related outcome, either by themselves or with the collaboration of other partners. For instance, they will be asked to:-write a short story about a contemporary topic-draw the front cover of a book-make different presentations: of their town, school, school's library, a bookshop-create a bookmark, or a mascot and a logo for the project-start an international reading club-write a diary pretending to be a famous writer-recommend favourite books for other partners to read-make a personal interpretation of a current event-perform a theatre sketch

Wladyslawa Szafera w Elku,COLLEGE ALBERT CAMUSFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2020-1-FR01-KA229-080118Funder Contribution: 46,553 EURCONTEXT/BACKGROUNDThe “Eco-friendly schools for a greener Europe : engaging our pupils to protect the planet (2020-2022)” project brings together two schools from Poland and France around three priorities of the Erasmus+ program : “Environmental and climate goals” ; “Supporting individuals in acquiring and developing basic skills and key competences” ; “Increasing the levels of achievement and interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics”. The main aim of the project is to think collectively about ways to engage our pupils and our schools to respect and protect the planet. Confronting practices, developing creative/innovative/alternative approaches, analyzing successes and failures should contribute to environmental education, a European intercultural approach and a common European citizenship. The E3P20/22 project should be funded to finance both its management and implementation and secondly two Learning, Teaching,Training Activities respectively organised in each school.OBJECTIVESPupils and teachers involved will follow three main goals : improving schools environment, engaging pupils to academic success, strengthening a European eco-citizenship. It expects individual and collective results for the pupils and for the two schools definitively engaged in an eco-friendly process. This global result should be achieved by working on during and between each Learning/Teaching/Training Activity and making several collective products (studies and publications on water quality, waste recycling, citizen actions…).ETWINNINGThe already created Twinspace will be the main online space to share materials and to work in collaborative activities. It will include tools devoted to online teaching, learning and training during/between Learning/Teaching/Training Activities. It will also be used for students and adults Learning/Teaching/Training Activities assessments. Finally the KA2 Twinspace will allow follow-up and dissemination with products diffusion and information.NUMBER AND PROFILES OF PARTICIPANTSThe project provides that participants will be teachers/non-teaching staff members and pupils from thirteen to fifteen years old from our two respective schools. Schools gather nearly 1,600 pupils and 150 teachers/non-teaching staff members who will be impacted by the project thanks to a dissemination plan. More than 60 students and nearly 20 teachers/non-teaching staff members will be involved directly participating in project educational activities. Among them 28 students and 7 teachers/non-teaching staff members will travel and discover a new European country during each of the two Learning/Teaching/Training activities and/or during the project management meetings. Traveling participants will be chosen in each school through a committee including teachers and administrative staff. The KA2 project aims to involve students of all abilities : beyond their academic achievements, pupils need to manifest interest on improving their skills, to have an excellent behavior and of course to to be interested in environmental issues.ACTIVITIESEach school will organize a six-day exchange of groups of pupils with partners' delegations of fourteen pupils and three or four adults : C1 Poland (April 2021) and C2 France (April 2022).METHODOLOGYThe Project Group functions as the coordinating group and is composed of teachers and administrative staff from the two schools. The school partners will be organized in school teams. Two Project Management meetings are planned, at the beginning and at the end of the project.FOLLOW-UPAssessments, questionnaires and evaluation of educational activities will allow to report on long-lasting effects with lifelong learning skills, European eco-citizenship and schools environment. Our dissemination plan is built in two dimensions (horizontal with all activities to strengthen communication and dissemination between participants ; vertical with all activities designed to actually reach the target groups, stakeholders and final users) and will use two types of media (traditional media and media created specifically for the project like Erasmus corners in each school, an eTwinning Twinspace, a Facebook page and an Instagram page).

Thanks to this project, about twenty of French students living in a village, near a small town, will be able to collaborate with about twenty Cretan students, whose country gave birth to European culture and they will be able to discover a new culture and its influence over European art through this collaboration while Cretan students will become aware of this influence. All the work and visits achieved during this project will allow students from both countries to discover new ways of working and learning, in particular through their collaborative works. The students will communicate in English. Students will learn how to work together, how to organize their work, how to better use digital tools. To finish, we wish our students will develop their creativity and learn more about art. We will also wish their work will attract out-of-the-project students' curiosity. We will evaluate whether we reached our goals through questionnaires aimed at students participating to the project and out-of-the-project students, those questionnaires will be answered at different steps of the project to evaluate how the project helped develop students' intercultural knowledge and how it made more students' interested in the project. To finish, we will watch how students manage to better organize team work, and they manage to communicate with students in a foreign language and how they manage to better use digital tools all along the project.

Its purpose is to introduce students to the performing arts, through the practice and study of texts, through meetings with professionals, visits to broadcasting sites, shows. This course allows students to enrich their personal culture and progress in various language skills, both intellectual and physical, individually and collectively. Our project also aims to support young people in building their European and multiple identity. Indeed, confronting other cultures and sometimes returning to one's own roots helps these young people to build themselves as future adults and find their place in society. This is why we imagined this intercultural project whose goal is to exchange on our practices and to build extracts common to our different shows. These exchanges and these mobilities constitute a real motivation for all the students of the partner establishments. However, it is more difficult each year to organize trips and exchanges, because the means are lacking. And, it is often difficult to ask families for a significant financial contribution. This is why we would like to be funded in order to allow all students to meet other young people, of different nationalities, but who have a common passion : the performing arts. The profiles of our students, aged 12 to 15, are very diverse, because we want to include all the profiles. Some students suffer from academic, social difficulties, a disability, others come from disadvantaged neighborhoods, but all unite with a passion for the performing arts. The four mobility plans and regular exchanges via digital media will allow students to get to know each other and establish points in common with their different cultural projects, by establishment. Interculturality and European identity will be honored and valued in the various shows. The expected concrete results are a multicultural show offered by each establishment and the communication associated with this show (posters, flyers, programs, etc.) with the aim of promoting the written and oral expressions of all the students involved in the project. In the long term, this project will facilitate exchanges between the different partner establishments, concerning other intercultural and European projects"
