Project consortium4 European countries, 4 technical universities, 1 industrial companies (SME), 4 vocational secondary schools and IT training organizations.MotivationThe project reacts to the decreased interest in studying at secondary schools providing education in electrical and information engineering, as well as in the related fields. Our motivation is to contribute to higher attractiveness of the study, to foster the students’ interest in the given field and to involve them in the international competition. Objectives and formsThe main objective is to increase the quality of education at vocational secondary schools using a form that will be highly attractive for students. This objective has been achieved through preparing a wide portfolio of modern learning aids and offering them in an attractive way as:• Explanations arranged in the form of an explanatory dictionary (similarly as in Wikipedia, but with guaranteed content);• Worksheets;• Short chapters of text;• Tests;• Multimedia multilingual translation dictionary. All these types of content are now available in English, German, Spanish, Czech and Slovak. Thus, the developed materials will be useful also for language education. The formats of the learning aids include LMS packages (e.g. for Moodle), PDF, as well as formats suitable for e-book readers and mobile devices (smartphones, tablets). All files are now freely downloadable from the learning portal where teachers and their students may choose those materials (or their parts) that are interesting for them (in terms of content or form) and capable of enriching their teaching/learning. In order to increase the attractiveness for the students, a special Facebook account has been maintained during the project.Pilot testing was a substantial part of the project implementation; it included also students’ international competition – Technical Olympiad; its winners have been awarded attractive prizes and issued certificates.Learning topicsThe project consortium has identified a large number of modern topics, for which, however, there are often not available any learning materials in the considered languages in satisfactory quality. The topics have been selected by secondary school teachers – not only from the consortium, but also from other training institutions:Wireless networksCryptography, cybercriminalityModern security systemsCloud computingAutomationSystems for intelligent buildings and homesHome automationInternet of thingsUser identificationMMI (multimodal interfaces) for interactive communication and navigationFuture Networks - SDN & NFVNew generation of multimedia services/applicationsOptical systems and networksOptoelectronics, photonics and sensorsModern data interfacesModern modulation methodsUse of power lines for transmission of messages (PLC, BPL)High-speed Internet AccessModern TV standardsLTE (Long Term Evolution)

IntroductionThere were two significant changes during the project implementation:1. The project was originally not selected for support and put on the “waitlist”. Later it was accepted, but with a significantly reduced budget. For this reason, there was also a significant reduction of the outputs. Detailed description of the changes can be found in the appendix “MoVET_Změny_2017.pdf”. Changes made to the number of outputs are clearly summarized in a table contained in the appendix “Appendix 4 - Changes in partial outputs and activities.pdf”. With respect to the reduced budget and in accord with these amending documents, a contract was concluded with the grant provider.2. During the coronavirus crisis, activities related to students' trips abroad could not be performed, nor was it possible to hold the Final Meeting in person. Both types of activities were carried out in an alternative way. The cancellation of the original activities and setting of new (alternative) ones also induced a significant increase in workload.Context/background of the projectThe pre-project analysis revealed that professional education in technical areas:a) Did not satisfactorily reflect real needs of the industry,b) Did not have satisfactory contacts with the industry,c) Did not satisfactorily react to the recent development in science and technology by inclusion of modern topics in the education,d) Did not satisfactorily motivate the students,e) Did not have satisfactory international collaboration. The project goal was to reduce the above-listed constraints of professional education by developing a large number of results and their large-scale pitot testing.ObjectivesThe fundamental aim of the project was to increase the quality of professional education at secondary schools, to establish its closer links with the industry and to increase the interest and motivation of students at secondary professional schools to study well.Number and type/profile of participantsThe participants (target groups) were students and teachers from secondary professional schools focusing on technical subjects. Over 1700 students and 55 teachers took part in the conducted educational activities. 61 students participated in the national internships; 39 students participated in the international ones (out of which, 8 in the only physical mobility and 31 in the virtual ones). Finally, 24 students (8 from each partner country) students took part in the international student teams competition. The total number of students involved in project activities significantly exceeded our commitment stipulated in the project application.Description of activities and resultsA detailed description of the activities can be found in the relevant sections of this Final Report. Just a summarizing information is provided here:1. Sets of different types of electronic learning objects (in four languages)2. ECVET learning units3. Pedagogical materials for teachers4. Large-scale pilot run for students5. Pilot run for teachers6. Series of internships in industrial companies7. Motivating competition of international student teams8. Further education of teachers from secondary schools (specialized lectures) 9. Extensive dissemination events (special workshops, publishing activities)10. Specialized learning environment and supporting software11. Methodologies and strategiesLonger-term benefits and impactThe developed educational materials are part of the learning portal (http://techpedia.eu), which is publicly accessible and administered by the project coordinator. Thanks to the fact that the portal also contains the results of other projects, it is a relatively wide library of educational resources (offering over 140 packages of materials), which is often used not only by the primary target groups, but also by other academic or professional public. After the project conclusion, ECVET units and a number of methodologies and strategies will also remain available to the public. The long-term benefit for members of the project consortium is the newly acquired know-how.

Our project of Strategic Partnership for school Education no. 2014-1-CZ01-KA201-001894, PLEMICT, Practical Learning English through Multimedia and ICT (PLEMICT) started to improve skills of pupils and teachers and show new ways of learning and teaching realia of involved countries in English language lessons (the Czech Republic, Turkey and Poland) in a different way through multimedia and ICT.Three involved partner schools:Zespol Szkol Elektrycznych im.Tadeusza Kosciuszki, Opole, PolandSeyhan Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi ,Adana, Turkeyand the coordinating school Vyssi odborna skola informacnich studii a Strední skola elektrotechniky, multimedii a informatiky, Prague, Czech Republic. The target group of this project were pupils of the first classes of our schools, who would form three creative groups of 20 students in each country. During three years they made presentations of topics connected to their own countries realia. The topics were arranged in advance for each month. For each topic the pupils in cooperation with their teachers sent to their partners 10 presentations of at least 6 slides each . Altogether we made 450 presentations in a programme Smart Notebook, which is widely used for interactive boards. The texts of these presentations with specific information about our countries were adapted for learning English language. These presentations consisted of reading and use of English exercises. During the project preparation time we decided to programme the presentations of level B1 or B2 of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) with keys included. By work on presenting their countries and getting more and more information about our partners, their way of life, their schools, countries and history, the students learnt the language in a natural way. The pupils prepared naturally (by thinking about English language rules) for international certificates of English language. They were forced to read much more than only at school lessons and they compared their presentations with the other partners. This motivated them to work accurately. The project was divided into three periods according to three school years of the project. These periods consisted of training, exchange of materials and presentations, meetings and dissemination work months. Competition meetings revised mostly the specific information which the students had learned about the partner countries. As dissemination activities we prepared project expositions, project posters, presentations for primary schools and special schools for disabled children and organizied competitions and performances for other schools in our countries. The project showed good results in improvement of learning and teaching languages. We created 450 presentations and we expect it to be just the first step to change the attitude to teaching nowadays generation of pupils.More information about our project to be found on its pages: https://plemict.wordpress.com/Presentations of our Polish partner are available on Google Drive:https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/0B9yrRAJ8tTSFfm92TmFOS0gxUWFJWTg0V29ya3N6SWk0X2hBWGJhc1VKZHhWZkZDZlhmS0UUsing this storage the Czech and Turkish partners faced some problems to download their presentations. That is why we decided to create another storage for the Czech and Turkish presentations:http://is.sssep9.cz/podklady/erasmus/In the future we would like to continue in this way of teaching and with our partners we are working on other possible project ideas. As an unexpected result of our project we created a book of illustrations of a welknown Czech poet and singer, Mr Robert Krestan. this book will soon be available at http://is.sssep9.cz/podklady/erasmus/.A very important result of our project was as well the friendship among our pupils. The pupils got a detailed information about their partner's lives and their culture through the presentations and especially during the meetings. All the participants, the pupils and the teachers all still keep in touch through the Internet. After the end of our project, we are planning to use all the presentations during teaching and learning process at our school and we have downloaded our presentations on the Internet to allow all interested teaches to use them. All our pupils who participated on programming our presentations received certificates of attendance. As well we are discussing a possibility of receiving a certificate of knowledge from the firm of AV Media, which uses Smart Notebook programme for their products. This might contribute to our pupils a better chance to be employed all over Europe. We hope to decrease risk of their unemployment and support their adaptability in English speaking firms.

The project is primarily focused on innovative education practices in the digital age. It responds to the coronavirus pandemic. The proposed outputs directly support the transition towards online and distance education. The project deals with the introduction of digital technologies and innovative and open pedagogical procedures, especially in the field of professional training. The project seeks to overcome the limitations introduced by the conventional forms of online digital education having been used so far. Before applying for the project, we conducted extensive research concerning the real needs of VET institutions and the industry. The results of this survey form a base for all outputs and activities of the proposed project. In order to support the smooth introduction of digital online learning tools in regular lessons, the corresponding methodologies for modern online digital education will be developed, outlining the necessary procedures step by step. For teachers we will develop a set of new software tools that will allow them to create highly advanced online learning digital content easily; these tools will be freely available to all interested parties. As for students, we will provide them with a set of study materials with an emphasis on such advanced technologies that have not been widely used in education yet (e.g. spherical video, stereo video, telepresence, etc.).We will also develop MOOC courses as an interesting alternative to regular lessons in specific situations or for specific groups.Virtual internships (or “exchanges” of students) will be organized within the project to demonstrate and test the strengths and weaknesses of such an approach. The project will have a strong international dimension, thus giving students a chance to get experience from several EU countries. The project consortium is composed of 7 partner institutions from 4 EU countries – the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Slovenia and Spain. The project partners are represented by VET institutions and technical universities. Three associated partners will also be involved in the project.Students and teachers of secondary technical schools (both within and outside the consortium) are the main (but not the only) recipients of the project results. They will participate in the development of learning materials and perform their testing in real education. The project activities will directly impact at least 1200 people.Universities will develop the learning materials and perform teaching activities at the VET institutions. They will also develop advanced software/technology tools (also for telepresence).Within the project we will realize the following:• Electronic learning materials (in English and 4 national languages) using the latest educational technologies to be tested in teaching practice. A total of 8 sets of materials and 8 MOOCs on topics selected by the involved VET institutions and agreed by all project partners will be developed;• Methodologies for implementation of regular digital online education at secondary schools, which will accentuate the use of modern approaches and technologies;• A free web-based application (including the necessary documentation) that will allow teachers to simply and independently create on-line study materials;• Motivational international “digital” competition for students organized in a distance (online) form;• Large-scale pilot run and Experimental Virtual international Internships (EVII) for students;• Further education of VET teachers in selected thematic areas;• Verification of the modern digital teaching approaches by semi-professionals;• Methodology for the long-term sustainability of the project results after its conclusion and continuous dissemination of the results among teachers of technical vocational secondary schools that will not participate in the pilot testing. The proposed topics for digital e-learning materials that are essential for the future development of technology in EU countries (to be finalized and confirmed/selected during the initial phase of the project with respect to actual needs):• Digital technology• Digital online education at secondary schools• Cybersecurity• Cloud Computing and its security• Modern technologies and concepts for education I – 3D video, virtual and augmented reality etc.• Modern technologies and concepts for education II – open digital resources, MOOC etc.• Big Data• Green energy sources• Smart Energy, Smart Grids• Intellectual property law• PLC automation• Building security technologies• BIM (Building Information Modelling)• Building Environmental Systems – heating, ventilation, air conditioning• Telemedicine

The main motivation for this KA2 project Visualisation of Emotions of Classical Drama (VECDRA) is an intention to improve reading skills and classical drama knowledge of our pupils as well as English language skills in a non-traditional way. As the year 2018 is the European Year of Cultural Heritage with the slogan for the year- Our heritage: where the past meets the future, we have chosen the most famous playwright, William Shakespeare, to introduce beauty and wisdom of classical European literature and have chosen the best partners to fulfil all our targets. While realizing this project we would like to motivate our pupils to read classical Shakespeare's dramas, discuss the main ideas with their literature teachers, take part in lectures of Shakespeare's dramas, learn about nonverbal communication (which is not only an important part of acting but as well a part of common communication and interaction), encourage our pupils to visit different Shakespeare's plays performances and realize their own theatre performance, shoot a film about it, make a TV shot about it and provide their work with an illustration book of main emotions of the characters in key situations.2nd Grammar School of Xanthi, Greece is a secondary school, which has got long experience with realizing theatre plays, even plays in English language. 35% of their pupils are pupils with special needs, members of the Muslim minority of Thrace. Many of these pupils come from families whose parents are practically illiterate and thus are somehow handicapped when compared with other pupils. In general, most pupils come from low income families and have very few or no opportunities to visit other countries. The project might help these pupils to get involved into an international cooperation and increase their employability and chances to become adequate members of the local community. Stredna priemyselna skola Josefa Murgasa, Banska Bystrica, the Slovak Republic, provides students with full secondary vocational education and prepares them for the pursuit of professions and activities and for study at universities in the following fields of study: Electrical Engineering - (EQF 4), Information and Network Technologies - (EQF 4) and Multimedia - (EQF 4). They are skilled and specialized in shooting films and making TV shots. There is a modern school TV studio at their school. The school teachers have excellent technical expertise in the field of television and multimedia production, which they will surely use in this project.Vyssi odborna skola informacnich studii a Stredni skola elektrotechniky, multimedii a informatiky, Prague, the Czech Republic prepares students in Information technology and security systems (EQF 4), Electrotechnics (EQF 3-4) and Multimedia (EQF). The school teachers are professional photographs and experts on book layout and design.During the project periods we will work to rehearse and shoot two Shakespeare's plays on a real stage in Greek and English, make a TV shot about it and provide our work with an illustration book of main emotions of the characters in key situations. At least 120 of illustrations will form two project books of illustrations. Much more of them will be presented on web pages and offered to our social partners (theatres) as a part of their programme guides. The published illustrations will show us how the project works and meetings with our partners, realized workshops and plays in English will show how the knowledge of English is improving.During the long term mobilities our pupils will extend their school education in 4 ECVET UNITS each and their knowledge will be assessed by the receiving organization an accepted by the sending organization. The project should educate the main workgroup teams, school pupils not fully involved in creative activities including pupils (many of them with special needs), participants from another schools or public not involved in creative activities. We suppose the number of people who will participate in some parts of education will exceed 200. We would like to involve as many pupils and other interested people as we can. We are planning to offer free access to the workshops that will be organized by our schools at our schools to other participants. If the workshop or a lecture will be organized by our possible social partner, e.g. the local British Council office, we can offer some free tickets to the event to some of active pupils, who are not fully involved in our project and offer the participation on the event to another pupils or adults (parents of our pupils, teachers of our school who would be interested in it).We hope that this work will involve not only our main teams, but will attract most of our pupils and even the general public, as we have already discussed possible cooperation with Prague British Council representative, who is ready to cooperate with us as the social partner.
