In the last years, media interest clearly showed a shortage of labour in tourism sector. Also the shortage of healthcare staff is a global phenomenon. Health and Wellness Tourism was a fast growing branch at a much faster rate than the overall tourism. The actual touristic situation of European tourism in the spring of 2020 cannot be drawn optimistic, but a requirement of special expertise and high quality of human resource, especially in Health and Wellness Tourism services can be foreseen. The HEAL ALL project aims an international cooperation of institutions supporting health tourism education. The project planning was finished before the launch of Coronavirus response of the EU. With the run of time, it became more visible, that after the pandemic, tourism (including health tourism) will be one of the most sensitive economic sectors suffering from the consequences of the outbreak. This fact is why the proposed starting activity of a comparative market Survey in the sector will be not only a preparation for other activities, but will create a new foundation in every country for future development since any earlier surveying will lose its actual manner. This underlines the importance of a new ground zero for all activities built upon. This intellectual investment is necessary for the sustainability of the education in health tourism, and support not only a development but a restructuring of the sector including educational inputs. The project consortium includes two higher educational bodies: University of Debrecen - Faculty of Health (Hungary) and Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania - Faculty of Economics, Socio-human Sciences and Engineering (Romania). Both Faculties offer education in different fields of tourism. The Faculty of Health controls a Health Tourism Specialisation in the framework of the Health Care Management BSc, while Faculty of Economics, Socio-human Sciences and Engineering manages a BSc study programme named Engineering and Management in Catering and Agrotourism. The non-educational partners of the cooperation are the INNOVA Észak-Alföld Nonprofit Ltd. (Hungary), which is a governmental-founded regional development and innovation agency established with the aim of boosting the regional economy and of managing innovative initiative, like the Thermal-Health Industrial Cluster; and the Marco Polo G.E.I.E. (Italy), which was established in 2006 with the main aim of promoting partnerships and European partnerships, especially through mobility projects and training development in HoReCa sector. The main measurable outputs of the programme are:A mentioned situational comparative analysis of tourism sector based on surveying both demand and supply sides, as a situational description, after the hoped end of the coronavirus-pandemic. The programme contains elements of best practice exchanges on international level gaining experience through GEMBA principles, but the most innovative content will be the creation of a Trainee Work Exchange (TWE) Portal, where the students will gain access to International Mobility offers of different companies from different countries. The Higher Education institutions will evaluate the needs of the surveyed companies and customers, and the innovative knowledge resulted by direct enterprise contacts will be built into a newly developed Curriculum of Health Touristic field, including 20 subjects and topics covering themes like growing requirements of Hygiene in Tourism for rebuilding trust of travellers. The Curriculum subjects will be organized into Modules (Lifestyle, Medical basics, Health Tourism and Wellness, Touristic Management, Social basics) commonly covering the complete Health tourism field. Each subject and topic can be reached electronically, study materials, question and examination databases, which is guarantee for OpenAccess through the TWE webpage, where all project activities can be monitored also for the general public. The cooperation will invent a further Distance Learning System too. The Quality of the project materials will be assured by intensive trainings of the producing staff and intensive use of professional review (both theory and practice) and proofreading. The final outcomes of the project will support the final beneficiaries (students - having better education, businesses - more qualified human resource, and customers - having a health touristic offer with enhancing quality) in building a healthier society and the proposal will strengthen the European Higher Educational Area in international competition compared to other economies and will reduce brain drain. The programme will promote internationalisation with the use of innovative digital access practices, resulting in a sustainable investment through enhancing quality and efficiency of education and training of youth.

In a two-year project, seven partners from six European countries will exchange their experiences and develop transferable solutions and new strategies under the theme “Future viability of families in European rural areas”.The rural areas of Europe and the regions involved in the project are exposed to risky change: economic decline, lack of jobs and development prospects, as well as the increasing loss of services, education and cultural offerings are causing steady emigration, especially of young women. Demographic change is also leading to an aging population, threatened by mobility and health care deficits as well as social isolation. This could lead to entire regions being undocked from general development. To keep people in the region and to motivate others to move in prospectively, the project aims to strengthen the compatibility of family and work as a location factor and thus contributing to greater equal opportunities in rural areas despite geographical obstacles.Bridging the gap between politics, administration and business, the project bundles a wide variety of European experiences: transferable solutions of the partners will be identified and new strategies developed to promote equal participation, self-determination and equality of people in professional and social life. Local decision-makers will be empowered to find flexible political measures and local solutions to keep the population (especially workers and families) in the region. In addition, business-related actors will be involved in the project. Furthermore, a goal-oriented cooperation between municipalities and companies will be initiated and supported. Our project goals are:1.Sustainable strengthening of family friendliness as a central challenge of the future and an important location factor in rural regions of Europe2.Analysis and documentation of similarities and differences in the partner regions as well as exchange of good ideas, methods and practices3.Establishing and strengthening of regional networks for the compatibility of family and work as well as the establishment of a European network4.Development, expansion and updating of competencies to strengthen the location factor family friendliness (for municipalities, companies etc.)5.Setting new impulses for the compatibility of family and work in order to counteract the shortage of skilled workers and demographic change6.Improving cooperation between companies and municipalities, acting together and utilizing development potential (family friendliness as a cross-sectional Task)The achievement of goals can be measured based on the following results and success factors:1.Gaining knowledge through the Europe-wide exchange of experiences2.Best practice catalog for a successful work-life balance (in English and national language)3.Strategy for raising awareness of the compatibility of family and work (in English and the national language)4.Implementation of individual measures at companies/municipalities by at least 2 project partners to improve the compatibility of family and work5.Active public relations (classic media work, presence in social networks)6.European added value: transnational problem solving by bundling transnational expert knowledge (project team, other stakeholders), common European identity through transnational project work and building a European network

"In order to reduce the time of response in case of fires or other incidents and therefore decrease the number of people dying or being injured, many European countries depend on volunteer fire brigades. They are of particular importance in rural areas, but especially there the number of people willing to join volunteer fire brigades is unfortunately decreasing. Some countries like Germany have a longstanding tradition in volunteer fire brigades. In other countries like Bulgaria, volunteer fire brigades gained more importance in recent years. In addition, the organization of volunteer fire brigades is very different in each country. Therefore, the aim of the ""FireVall"" project was to exchange good practices among volunteer fire brigades across Europe focused on recruitment strategies in the different countries as well as on the organization and financing of volunteer fire brigades. The partners learned a lot from each other and their experiences enhancing the effectiveness and quality of the work carried out. The partnership was composed of 7 partners from 6 countries, who have extensive knowledge on the training of volunteer fire fighters and the organisation and funding of volunteer fire brigades in their country. The applicant Gemeinde Kabelsketal has 6 local volunteer fire brigades in their territory and has been be supported by the second German partner Wisamar. The Danish and Croatian partners represent fire brigades with volunteer fire fighters and the Estonian partner is a volunteer fire brigade itself. The Hungarian and the Bulgarian partners are organisations supporting the regional development and cooperating very closely with the municipalities and their volunteer fire brigades.During the lifetime of the project, the partnership met 5 times. Each transnational meeting had a different central theme based on one of the following relevant questions:- What is the public perception and the importance of volunteer fire brigades in the partner countries?- What are the legal regulations regarding volunteer fire brigades in the partner countries?- How do volunteer fire brigades acquire new/ enough members, motivate and maintain them?- How are volunteer fire brigades organized and financed?- What is the educational framework/ training/ qualification behind volunteer fire brigades? As a result, good practices answering the aforementioned questions have be collected and shared with the local teams of volunteer firefighters in order to evaluate them regarding their usability and adaptability within the local contexts. Considering this feedback, the good practices were summarized and translated into the partner languages (DE, BG, DK, HU, CRO and EE). To make these results accessible for a wider public, they are published on the project website, where they remain free to use also after the end of the project. During the meetings, the partners also had the chance to get more insight into the system of volunteer fire brigades within the country where the respective meeting took place. In this way, they were able to exchange, discuss and compare the local circumstances with their colleagues on site as well as with local stakeholders and policy makers. At local, regional, national and European level, the project addressed volunteer fire brigades and their members, since they can profit directly from the project results. They are able to adapt the collected good practices in order to sustain and improve the activities and services in their countries. Hence, the volunteer fire brigades can increase the number of volunteer firefighters and improve the organisation of regular activities, training, information, monitoring, operational response and fire precaution measures. The secondary target group of the project was the general public, who has been made more aware of the importance of volunteer fire brigades and their need to be supported by the local communities mainly through the diverse dissemination activities. An important target group for dissemination were also policy and decision makers who are involved in the regulations and financing of volunteer fire brigades. They can adapt the collected good practices can be adapted in order to find starting points for a (more) effective support and funding of volunteer fire brigades in their region. The lessons learned and the contacts made during the project already triggered new ideas for cooperation between volunteer fire brigades."
