CANNIZZARO,Forrester High School,Lüttfeld-Berufskolleg des Kreises Lippe,Stredni odborna skola podnikatelska, s.r.o.Funder: European Commission Project Code: 2015-1-DE03-KA219-013789Funder Contribution: 136,780 EUR"The focus of the project ""Our lives In 20 years"" was to discuss and carry out a versatile set of transnational activities about the future developments and changes in the fields of energy, education, communication, employment, housing and family life.We shed light to the current situation in the participating countries and tried to foresee the changes that may take place within the next years. These changes affect the generation of our students in various aspects of their lives. Regardless of their home country, young people in Europe are all facing similar questions as to what their future life will look like. In this project, we wanted the students to understand change as a challenge to take an active part in shaping their future in a Europe which is becoming ever more global. We also wanted to promote European awareness and make the students realize that their future prospects depend on being flexible, understanding different cultures, mastering foreign languages and being prepared for lifelong learning. We worked together with five partners (Czech Republic, France, Italy, Poland, Scotland) we found via eTwinning; one of which has never participated in a transnational project. We specifically chose two partners from Eastern Europe because firstly, we have not been involved with them before, and secondly because of close historic and current ties between Germany, France, Poland and the Czech Republic. For a smooth realization of the project all participants undertook to pay attention to the cost limit, time management and timely preparation of the single meetings. Information to be shared, decisions to be made, activities to be modified, etc. was based on common agreements and supported by all partners. All this was accompanied by several evaluations during and after the project. In the project, we organized a number of mobilities including two transnational project meetings for organizational matters and six learning/teaching/ training activities in the different countries planned around a specific aspect of life such as ""energy"", ""education"", ""communication"", ""employment"", ""housing"" and ""family life"", so all in all there were eight mobilities.Project activities took place as collaborative work in transnational groups mainly, either in the distance or during the meetings. They included surveys, workshops, theatre or film sequences, recordings, letters, posters, PowerPoint presentations or slide shows, newspaper articles, etc. These activities were carried out and prepared in all partner schools before the meetings. The students made researches about the various topics and ambassadors presented the results to the other partners during the meetings. Students worked using various tools suggested by the teachers or themselves. The students became more aware of the challenges of their future in a European context, reflected through collaborative work on what skills will be needed to cope with their lives in 20 years and realized chances and problems on an international level. Teachers were given training sessions during the meetings which gave them the opportunity to increase their knowledge and pedagogy. Gathering teachers and school staff from six different countries lead to more national and international contacts that helped to find a common understanding of European school curricular, extra-curricular activities and a general knowledge of each other's education system. The parents were offered direct and indirect participation in the project which included international contacts. They were able to see the results and products made by the students during the mobility times. They became more aware of the situation in Europe which might affect their children's future. For companies and experts that were visited and/or invited during the meetings in the different countries it was an opportunity to present themselves to an international audience. The whole school community, students, teachers and parents, but also the general public are able to see the results of our project, because they are presented and made available to everyone on the project website and the schools homepages which were updated regularly. All Erasmus+ activities were transparent, i.e. all members of the school community were encouraged to take part in the project activities with equal opportunities.Everybody taking part in the project ""Our Lives In 20 Years"", male or female, young or old, learnt a lot. Thanks to this project, the students worked out their lives in 20 years. The results of the project finally achieved that the students take care for and build up their own responsibly future."

The proposed engagement project aims to instil demand for more environmentally benign methods of construction and building use in future generations of construction clients and the public as building users. The work seeks to increase awareness of the potential that marked shifts in design and construction methods (such as the use of innovative construction materials and servicing methods to achieve zero-carbon buildings)) have for maintaining our quality of life in a sustainable manner. It is necessary to inspire future building users to demand the use of new technologies and new practices so that they will become commonplace without need for regulatory mandate. The project will last twelve months and has been designed to coordinate with the school calendar. The project will be evolve over three phases. The initial phase will be the development phase and will involve the educational partners and researchers and the creation of a database; a series of building model animations and a public interface for the game specifically and the project in general. The second phase will be a strategic piloting phase within our partner schools, two at primary level and two at secondary. This phase will involve an iterative process of developing educational material tuned to the specific requirements of the different age groups. The third and final phase will be the implementation of the game and support material within the schools and the dissmenation of the project outcomes. The implementation will be designed to meet the needs of the specific schools and the material will be developed to allow a flexible delivery. The dissemination will be through various media but will culminate in an exhibition to be hosted by the Lighthouse and will showcase the work of the schools.
