The clothes young people wear every day is an effective way to show how a single item connects them with a wider world. The production line of any item from the extraction of raw materials to production, transportation, consumption and disposal allows them to understand better their personal connections with people from other countries and continents, as well as environment. However, the façade of the production line hides the complexity of global issues. Young people in partner countries lack awareness and understanding of how their personal consumption patterns affect people, environment and contribute to the rise of major global problems as poverty, inequality and climate change. Therefore, this project intends to give an overview of the most concerning impacts caused by the fashion industry in partner countries and provide educational approaches and tools empowering young people to understand the complexity of issues and their personal role as consumers of the garment. The overall aim of the project is to foster the commitment of young people from Europe and Asia to take an active role in meeting global challenges based on awareness and critical understanding of the phenomena of global interconnectedness. By bringing the issues of the global garment industry to young people, the project will foster quality improvements and will contribute to promoting the concept of global youth work. The objectives of the project:1. Raise awareness of young people and youth workers of sustainability issues in the global garment industry;2. Strengthen the role of youth work in dealing with the challenges of sustainable development in the global garment industry;3. Develop, transfer and pilot good practices that would empower young people to take an active role in dealing with the sustainability challenges in the garment industry;4. Bring a global perspective to youth work by fostering cooperation and exchange of knowledge, perceptions and good practices between the partners from Europe and Asia. The project will directly target 118 youth workers and 250 young people by engaging them in a range of activities which will be meant for:- developing the competencies of youth workers in global youth work, specifically, in addressing the issues in the global garment industry in the activities with young people;- providing the possibilities for youth workers to explore the realities in different parts of the global supply chain of the garment industry and understand the global connections that arise through the consumption and production patterns of clothes;- development, piloting and utilising new educational tools and methods addressing global issues in the global consumption and production patterns of textiles and promoting sustainable solutions and the development of sustainable consumption habits of young people. The project will be implemented by partners from 5 countries in Europe and Asia: Lithuania, Italy, Greece, the Philippines and Nepal.

Since the mental health challenges amongst youth are relevant both at regional and global levels it is valuable to share good practices from different cultures to address it. Due to this, Beautiful Mind International (BMI) project was created. BMI aims at enabling youth to take care of their mental wellbeing by providing them with skills to do so. The project uses an innovative Problem Management+ technique to teach youth cognitive behavioral therapy and problem-solving therapy strategies. After learning these, youth would be able to attain their own psychosocial needs. Moreover, BMI project aims to create an online info bank where the contacts of psychiatrist, psychologist, social worker or psychiatric nurse could be found in any partner country. This is a tool for youth to find the help they need at any place or time. Finally, BMI aims at destigmatising mental health topic, hence the educational communicational campaign and self-exploration courses (mindfulness exercises, meditation, yoga, Pilates, etc.) will be organized. All of the aforementioned activities will be implemented in Lithuania, Nepal, Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan. Briefly, BMI aims are as follows:1. To educate local youth and society through awareness campaigns; thus, destigmatising the topic, related fears and worries;2. To provide skills and tools for youth to take care of their mental health. In other words to enable youth on taking care of themselves. This will be done by self-exploration (mindfulness exercises, meditation, etc.) and self-support groups.3. To train youth workers to organize PM+ groups locally. In the long term, youth workers should identify young leaders, who could be trained PM+ methods to have a group of their own.

The main objective of this project was to develop a new format of international mobilities for young people, fully organized and implemented by NGOs. These mobilities have been defined as “Volun-tour”: a mixture of cultural awareness tours and change-making actions organized by NGOs working in the field, with the purpose of offering quality-learning experience to international volunteers through the encounter and interaction with local communities, and to inspire active participation and advocacy in the communities according to a different topic for each country.Evs if the concept didn’t change the consortium decided to name this format Change Making Tour not to make confusion with Volunturism, which generally is negatively perceived by NGOs working in the field of International Volunteering.Profiting from non-formal learning competences and Erasmus+ experience, the project aimed at developing a new scheme of international mobility managed by youth NGOs and to launch a new web database to create “Volun-tour” platform as follow-up of the whole action - that have been transferred to “Changemakingtour.org”.To plan a significant impact, the project foresaw change-making initiatives, both online and on a local level, with the purpose to raise awareness on a specific community challenge chosen by each Asian partner organisation. Complementary online campaigns were therefore implemented together with the “Volun-tour” platform in a mutual system of advocacy and social entrepreneurship. As output of the project, the website www.Changemakingtour.org was implemented, to share the new concept of “Volun-tour” and to offer concrete examples of the implemented tour packages together with thematic awareness campaigns on challenges affecting Asian local communities touched by the tours.External organisations were invited to join the “Change Making Tour platform”: in case they join they have to follow the quality guidelines of the project that are visible in the website. The guidelines are meant to guarantee the quality of the participants experience, the local impact and the dissemination of the change-making topic, as happened during the project through the local events with local authorities (in Asia) and a photo exhibition (in Europe). The project foresaw the creation of an informal network of NGOs in a field generally dominated by travel agencies, creating a network of sending and receiving organisations to promote non-formal learning experiences for groups of interested young people.
