For further information contact us at helpdesk@openaire.euassignment_turned_in ProjectPartners:FREGUESIA DE VILA BOA DO BISPO, Malta Now, Sustainable Development Studies Network, SC MIXT SOURCE MANAGEMENT SRL, SOLIDARIDAD SIN FRONTERAS +1 partnersFREGUESIA DE VILA BOA DO BISPO,Malta Now,Sustainable Development Studies Network,SC MIXT SOURCE MANAGEMENT SRL,SOLIDARIDAD SIN FRONTERAS,İnovasyon Girişimcilik Eğitim ve Araştırma DerneğiFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2021-2-PT02-KA220-YOU-000049837Funder Contribution: 230,798 EUR<< Background >>Data published by the European Union through Eurostat in 2020 explained that around 17.6% of the 20-34 years olds in the EU were neither in employment nor in education and training (NEETs). Also based on the OECD Education at a Glance 2021 report shown in 2020, the share of NEET young adults aged 18-24 years old was 15.1% on average across OECD countries. Particularly, during this COVID-19 pandemic, the opportunity for young people to have and create decent jobs, training and quality education became serious issues. This project is focusing on NEETs development through the lens of a green and circular economy model. The knowledge and skills development about this topic is a necessity to develop among young people to support them in tackling unemployment and low skilled employment rate which can weaken the human capital of the country. Circular economy is economic models where processes are actually cycles rather than linear. Circular economy is designed to produce things that are allowed to be reused through biological or technical processes, broken down into nature or returned to production - like cycles, and actually leaves less waste/discharges to the environment. This type of economic model can be one of the solutions of many aspects like sustainability, environment (i.e: waste management, etc), social, energy, etc. Economy and environment are major challenges which youth are facing nowadays and will face in the future. Green and circular economy models can be identified as a very important topic among the NEETs which can lead to growth and regenerative economic potential. The capacity building about green entrepreneurship and circular economy will be really useful especially for the NEETs to develop and improve their knowledge and skill to create better quality of lives, and as well build new opportunities that can be used to create decent jobs for all. Other than that, this project indirectly will support the European Union Green Deal plans below, as the NEETs will be encouraged to develop ideas and build it into the real business models and opportunities:-Transform economy and communities-Working with nature to protect planet and health-Boosting global climate action<< Objectives >>Youth NEETs is the main focus in this project. Their knowledge and skills development are the main concern for today's economy and human resource development. They can be one of the most vulnerable groups especially for today’s climate issues. If we take an example from some of our partner countries like Belgium, Spain, and Portugal about youth between 18-24 years old who neither study nor work based on the OECD Education at a Glance 2021 report, Spain is the number two country with the highest youth (18-24 years old) who neither study nor work with 19.9%, Portugal with 13.2%, and Belgium with 12.1%. Also according to the Eurostat in 2020, Romania had the third largest population of youth NEETs between 15-29 years old in Europe with 16.8%. From these percentages we can see that the innovative development methods of knowledge and skills should be created, improved and/or fixed - especially to prepare the youth ready for future challenges. The following are the objectives which want to achieve of this project:-Develop knowledge and practical skills courses - for NEETs on green and circular economy to build a sustainable future for creating resilient communities. The knowledge and skills training courses will be given through workshops, tailored soft skills training, and through an e-learning system. -Create opportunities for all to tackle gender gaps in terms of getting equal access to education, training related to the green and circular economy, and get information about opportunities like competition, grant and funding which are able to support them to plan, develop and implement their green business’ ideas and models in the future.-Prepare and help the NEETs to stimulate on developing green and circular economy business model ideas through innovative training courses and expert network consultation with the target around at least 180 participants - 30 participants/partner. -Establish the networking between the NEETs and expert network to strengthen ideas of the partnership, planning and implementation. It will help the NEETs to improve partnership opportunities, grow the ideas and implement it to real work better and more effectively.<< Implementation >>The project is a whole, but divided into activities and meetings, each indispensable to the success of the whole.PRS*PR1 will be E-learning Platform*PR2 will be Networking Platform*PR3 will be Common Curriculum and Methodologies*PR4 will be Digital training and education materialsTPMs4 face to face meetings and 12 Virtual Meetings will be organized by the consortium in order to discuss and fine-tune the implementation of project intellectual outputs. Meeting Agendas, e-newsletters, Meeting Reports.MEsThere will be 12 MEs where we can disseminate our project results, have the opportunity to connect with key stakeholders, identify potential sustainability resources and cooperation, and reach out to local communities and countries; ME Agendas, ME Reports, Participant Feedbacks, Stakeholders FeedbacksIt is especially important to plan the appropriate strategies in the project management part in order to achieve the objectives set with the OMNIA project.- Project Roadmap, which will include the partnership agreement, detailed work plan, detailed description of the roles and responsibilities of each partner involved and listing of project indicators and impacts to be achieved,- Project Management Handbook which will compile all necessary management and reporting tools to be used by the partners, including templates for quarterly reporting, contacts from the Staff team allocated to the project, guidelines for management, administrative work and financial control,- Interim and Final Reports: Following the official format, these reports will be written by the coordinator with the support from all partners and will be submitted to the National Agency- WP Reports: The quality process will be followed with the WPs to be developed within the PDCA cycle of every step that needs to be done during the implementation phase. Accordingly, the planning and reporting process will be followed for each WP.Regarding Monitoring and Evaluation, a Quality Management Plan and a Quality Monitoring and Evaluation Reports are carried out to achieve the objectives of the project and its results. Finally, a dissemination and exploitation strategy has been designed through a plan.<< Results >>There will be 4 outputs that will be delivered from this project and these outputs will be updated, maintained and accessible for all after the completion of the project period to make sure it achieves long term impacts:-The E-learning platform (PR1) will be created with an interactive system where the users can learn and as well share thoughts or ideas with other participants related to each module provided on the website. -A Networking platform (PR2) will be created as a place where the NEETs can network with the experts related to specific topics to support the plan and implementation of their ideas. As well, the networking platform can be used for NEETs interaction and sharing related to opportunities, partnership and stories.-Common curriculum and methodologies (PR3) will be provided to build better understanding for the NEETs about the topic of green and circular economy. The curriculum will be adjusted to the current situation and the needs of green and circular economy labour markets. This curriculum aims to be a guide for the NEETs to develop their knowledge and skills related to the topic through e-learning, training and workshops. -Digital training and education materials (PR4) will be delivered to the participants (NEETs) with aims to develop their knowledge about green and circular economy, and specific soft skills which can be useful for their future growth and development.Apart from those outputs above, there will be some other outcomes which during the project management:-Concepting and designing a logo for this project-Prepare agenda, timeline, and other materials like meeting notes, notification, etc for the project management-Develop social media accounts for this project and its strategy-Create e-newsletters about the progress and development about this project to share to partners-Design and share posters and any digital marketing stuff related to the programmes in this project like training, seminar, etc-Create copywriting and press releases needed related to the project’s programmes -Prepare sustainability report for the project-Prepare assessment reports for the projectThere will be some outcomes even after the completion of the project as it follows:-Improvement of knowledge and skills of participants - youth NEETs-Established networking between partners and participants-Website (e-learning and networking platform) and other platform like social media will regularly maintained and track how many people or users visiting the website and follow the social media account-Each participant of the project will receive a certificate of participation. The expected impacts of the project are:-Provide innovative curriculum and handbooks that can be used by the NEETs as a knowledge base resource of green and circular economy-Implementing innovative and tailored training and workshops that can help the NEETs to understand better the concept of green and circular economy-Stimulating the NEETs to develop ideas related to the green and circular economy business’ model to be implemented in their future work-Provide opportunities information and as well networking between the NEETs and expert networks-Reducing the gender gaps by providing equal opportunities on access to education and training about the green and circular economy for all-Contribute to succeeding some of the European Union Green Deal plans.

It has a great impact on the development of territories and on the innovation models of entrepreneurial activity. The pandemic emergency that alarmed the entire world population in the first months of 2020, has had serious repercussions on the entire European tourism system. The statistics released by the “UN World Tourism Organization” indicate a 60% drop in international tourism, furthermore the global travel industry has suffered losses between 840 billion and 1 billion EUR ( https://ec.europa.eu/info/live-work-travel-eu/coronavirus-response/travel-during-coronavirus-pandemic/eu-helps-reboot-europes-tourism_en). The pandemic, which has hit the major European capitals, has further underlined the social, economic and cultural imbalances of the internal rural areas. These villages are symbols of a minor but widespread historical, cultural and environmental heritage. In recent years a lot of associations, formed by social innovation movements, were created in order to protect and defend the heritage richness of these places.Re-Cultural Heritage seeks to improve the cohesion of the local communities through educational paths that support the personal development of teachers, citizens and minorities towards employment and labor market integration. Furthermore, the intent is to build a strategy of economic and employment development linked to quality tourism and to underline the role that a proper appreciation of cultural heritage can play in the economic regional development. The project addresses the following needs: 1- The increasing abandonment of rural areas, caused by urbanization and the lack of job opportunities, especially for younger generations2- The necessity to include minorities in the economic system by developing training paths, in order to access employment and interaction at the social level3- Promoting awareness on the importance of cultural heritage in innovative and modern terms for the creation of a sustainable local economy4- Training adults in the field of restoration of the historical, cultural and environmental heritage in order to create new jobs and to improve the landscape and the conservation of cultural places.<< Objectives >>The principal aims of the Re-Cultural Heritage project are:1- Improved employability capabilities in order to facilitate the opening-up of youth work to cross-sectoral cooperation2- Increase adults competencies related to job profiles especially in the social, touristic and artistic sector3- Guarantee new approaches to better support competitiveness in order to fill the lack of job opportunities, of these rural areas, that is pushing an entire generation in the major cities or abroad 4- Creating networking activity on education, entrepreneurship, leadership and equal opportunities 5- Improve practices to cater for the needs of vulnerable groups, with fewer opportunities in order to address gaps in learning performance caused by regional and socioeconomic inequalities and to facilitating the access to different labour markets 6- Increasing the employment opportunities adapting them to the post-Covid-19 demand7- Increasing the sense of inheritance and historical values, especially in the rural areas where the heritage it is not seen as a means that can be used for their own prosperity<< Implementation >>The implementation of the project provides for:- Creation of a network of contacts throughout Europe to share action programs, involving the same citizens and entrepreneurs in order to promote quality tourism.- Creation of a handbook with theoretical contents- Development of an E-learning platform- Creation of a report containing the data on the impact of the project- Better valorization, protection and use of cultural heritage- Teachers will have a standardized formation, with Europass recognition, based on innovative restoration techniques- Virtual and real events – 5 multiplier events will be scheduled during the last two months of the project in five countries of the partnership. Due to Covid-19, and its complication these meetings will be also recorded and made available on the Youtube platform, the Facebook page and the project website. In this way they will continue to be at the disposal of who you want to see them.- Learning and training activity - the learners involved in this activity will enhance their abilities through training programs that enable them to use innovative techniques in the fields of historical, cultural, and environmental heritage. The methodology that was used to complete the project will be based on the exchange of good practices, design-based research and technological tools. The dissemination of adopted methodology and results will facilitate the coordination of the partners and the involved nations. The project suggests a two-step teaching and learning process, with specialists in the sector of cultural heritage teaching chosen people from the country of partner organizations, who will then be the subject of the second teaching phase, with the aim of improving their skills through innovative methods.<< Results >>The project will be unfolding the following activities classified in 3 different results that reply to the all the objectives defined in the preceding section:- Project result n°1: European Framework Basic Skills Handbook. To draw up and develop a handbook for the public administrations on how to activate training programs that alternate training and qualification with productive work. - Project result n°2: Online Learning Platform. To develop an e-learning platform for inclusive digital education based on the restoration field. This output is primarily addressed to adults and vulnerable groups in order to provide high-quality learning opportunities and support teachers' skills and competences.- Project result n°3: Assessment Nationals Reports and Dissemination. To carry out a research of the potential impact of historical heritage and restoration in rural areas, underlining the outcomes on the economic, tourist and artistic fields in order to establish an employment plan to relocate young, adults and minorities. The research will involve similar situations occurring in other European territories. The communication and dissemination of results will be done using in particular digital tools, such as websites, in order to assure a potential and relevant audience on the theme on the importance of sustainable tourism. The most important impact will be the creation of strong collaboration between the involved country, in this way the functioning of the project will also be guaranteed after its completion. Also, numerous events will be held in the different countries of the participating organizations in order to mark the project’s achievement and to disseminate the results. Based on the development of the pandemic, each country will host one event during the life cycle of the project. Through this event will create different collaborations between local administration, stakeholders and CSS adult workers in order to improve the cohesion of the local communities and to reduce the social exclusion and marginalization of the minorities through educational paths that support their personal development towards employment and labour market integration. Moreover, is previewed the development of different activity, like insight seminary, who are eager to participate in the project's pilot and deployment phases.
