According to official data about the 2014 European Parliament elections, what comes out is that young European citizens have lost interest towards society and related issues. Furthermore, the unemployment rate, an important measure of a country or region’s economic health, is still high in the European Union countries, even though it is falling from the 2013 peak. In order to contrast this trend, European Union supports startups, social enterprises and entrepreneurial initiatives as long as they have a social impact and generate profit not only for entrepreneurs, but also for the entire community as well. Youth is the key to making the economy start over.#PlayEurope project aims to contribute to build a new generation of active citizens. The project’s main objective is to use the cooperative enterprise model and the social entrepreneurship education to raise awareness among young people about current social issues and democratic participation, using an alternative approach that combines education and entertainment, in order to be more attractive for the target group (university students & unemployed young people between 18‐30 years). The project – following an edutainment approach - provides young people with an innovative training programme to enhance and promote their competencies in order to become contributing entrepreneurs, responsible and critical citizens. The consortium is composed by 9 partners from Italy, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Cyprus, Spain, Greece, Romania and Estonia, representing different types of organizations: 3 SMEs, 2 Private Universities, 4 NGOs. All of them have long experience in EU projects and are deeply involved with young people, social issues, active citizenship aspects, EduGames and innovative teaching methodologies. #PlayEurope produces two main resources:- The Manual of Success Stories on Social Entrepreneurship collects 10 success stories of social entrepreneurs to motivate and inspire young people to set their own social business;- The Step-by-Step Guide “Become a Social Entrepreneur in 7 days” represents a smart and user-friendly journey across Social Entrepreneurship, made up of 8 steps including tips, key business elements, infographics, interesting videos and educative games to foster young entrepreneurs' hard & soft skills. In addition, a Workshop is organised in each partner’s country, with the participation of more than 100 young people to practically test and improve even more the resources developed. Through effective actions and tools, partners’ intention is to show young people how and to what extent social entrepreneurship can be a concrete pathway to become better citizens. The results that the partners want to produce are: - improvement of specific soft and hard skills of students and unemployed young people, through their involvement in the online #PlayEurope Step-by-Step Guide; - enhancement of digital integration through non-formal learning; - increased motivation of young people in setting up their business through demonstration of inspirational examples of successful social entrepreneurs; - increased interest in social issues and democratic participation. As the main beneficiaries of the project are young European citizens, the activities aim to impact on them by stimulating their attention towards social issues, showing them how to concretely apply the competencies acquired with #PlayEurope project in everyday life, for example by thinking of starting a social business. The project also engages indirect beneficiaries, above all civil societies, schools, training institutions, public Authorities and NGOs that work closely with young people, through a promotion of an alternative method, by inviting teachers and youth leaders to use #PlayEurope informal learning approach to promote civic participation among their students.

It was born in the context of a particular worldwide collective experience that involves us deeply in all aspects, involving everyone and the whole European and trans-European territory.CREATIVE EMOTIONAL JOURNEY-OPERATIONAL APPROACH combines a strong digital design action with a creative action in the educational field, based on the emotional experience. The project aims, through a 2 years cooperation between international partners, to create a methodology and the tools for operators (especially fromCCS -Cultural and Creative Sectors-) to implement creative emotional activities in educational contexts, providing a Toolbox (IO1), a Methodology (IO2) and an Operational Digital Tool for operators (IO3), to support and guide them in the creation of creative emotional journeys for young people.CREATIVE EMOTIONAL JOURNEY is an immersive, creative and emotional experience for young people; it is a themed “journey”: the approach can be implemented in various and urgent themes for society. Our Consortium, due to the internal expertises, will address two specific themes (gender violence and bullying) that will represent the models for practical implementation of our products. This project aims at capitalising the various partners’ expertise, the experience, the competences, the previous projects’ results to create products that allow operators and organizations, in particular in the cultural and creative sectors working with young people to cope with the situation caused by the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic, creating the possibility of a resilience of the sector, providing a METHODOLOGY that will represent the bridge between CREATIVITY - EMOTIONAL APPROACH - DIGITAL TOOLS - EDUCATION - YOUNGSTERS.CREATIVE EMOTIONAL JOURNEY - OPERATIONAL APPROACH provides the possibility of COOPERATION between educational sectors and cultural and creative sectors. The aim of the project is to support CCS operators in the creation of creative contents with emotional approach usable in educational context, and provide operators from educational sectors the possibility to use creative contents addressing urgent issues for society, during their work with young people. Moreover, the project will provide knowledge, tools and a Methodology to work with youngsters on an EMOTIONAL level, thanks to the involvement of psychologists, pedagogues, sociologists, educators.Another innovative aspect, fundamental to arm operators for coping with the pandemic situation, is the DIGITAL dimension:-digital format of the tools-digital fruition of contents-Instructions to create creative emotional educational contents accessible online. The project has also a long term vision and it aims in supporting operators also in the implementation of blended activities, combining digital usability with live experience and activities. From the end of the project the platform will allow a collaborative construction, it will continue to be developed with new contents thanks to people involved in the project, and new users and creators, and due to the transferability potential of the model. Each new content will be regularly checked, following an established editorial policy and quality standards. We strongly believe that the digital experience should, when the situation will create the conditions, be PROPAEDEUTIC to an offline experience, ensuring the project’s products’ usability also when we will have the opportunity to go back to face-to-face activities and live experiences. The methodology and tools are designed for CCS operators who want to keep working in this situation that affected this sector in particular, and bring art in the educational sector; at the same time it supports operators of the educational sector who want to address specific themes with a creative and emotional experience for their users.CREATIVE EMOTIONAL JOURNEY-OPERATIONAL APPROACH aims to overcome the mere recourse to common sense or simplifying rationalizations, integrating art, pedagogy of emotions and pedagogy of reason. The project aims to create a tool that will give the opportunity to each user, operator, artists, educators, trainers, to compose their own personal customized program; an emotional educational experience that the operators address to their users who, due to the health emergency, are unable to enjoy the experience of live art, shows and workshops. A tool that provides guided listening, group exercises, interviews, insights and discussions with experts on the themes covered, podcasts, training materials, performances and educational proposals that each operator, artist, educator will be able to shape and combine with their own workshop program following the methodology that this project will provide them.CREATIVE EMOTIONAL JOURNEY-OPERATIONAL APPROACH: Creativity at the service of Education.

Included in the framework of the 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage, AESOP aims to develop the capacities of youth workers to utilize story-telling techniques and local community assets related with oral tradition in order to promote local development. It is recognized that intangible cultural heritage (and especially oral tradition) is a very significant potential source of development which is usually underused and underestimated. In the same time youth unemployment is very high especially among young people that have recently inhabited urban centres. In this framework, the consortium will focus on issues as storytelling, entrepreneurship, theatre techniques, social entrepreneurship, community based tourism, cultural management, marketing of cultural heritage related projects etc. The project is going to organise three capacity building seminars, addressed to youth workers, a guide for youth workers, research for the identification of the relevant cultural heritage assets and a platform where each young person that will participate in the activities will publish its activities. The project will be implemented by 5 partner organisations from 4 countries and 3 continents (Greece, Spain, Brazil, Vietnam) which represent theatre and cultural organisations and organisations active in the field of youth bringing in this way together the two groups.. All activities are based on a variety of non-formal educational methodologies, including seminars, study visits, debates, as well as a certification course on community reporting. Local performances are going also to be organized in each country in cooperation with a story-telling activity which is going to be organized at the end of the project in Brazil. The project is going to develop a number of open educational resources for the youth workers. At the end of the project, it is expected that youth workers and young people are going to develop significantly their skills in relation with the use of intangible cultural heritage as a source of local development and social inclusion for marginalized people.

As we are convinced that participation is one of the core skills in the nowadays digital society which means to be in the position to gather information, reflect them and articulate opinion. Participation inherent the ability to conceptualize information and put them into different context. From the perspective of employability, the knowledge on how to participate includes management and leadership skills but as well openness for new ideas and concepts. Transferring participation into education means to educate self-aware citizens and gear their capacities to be Active Citizens, whom are open to new ideas, cultures and concepts and are willing to form and influence their society. Therefore it will be beneficially to create curricula, which have a European perspective on active citizenship and participation. Still each country inside the EU has different approaches, traditions and educational systems. Further on trainings and workshops exist but never been brought together at the European Level. The project seeks to create an evaluation grid for identifying best practice in citizenship building and collect those practices in a method handbook. This handbook will act as a tool-box for trainers, teacher and other facilitators in order to create innovative and tested instructions all over Europe and across all educational sectors. The project will run for two years and will consists out of six multinational meetings (each partner will organize one) as well two Training courses about Citizenship where good practice methods are presented and discussed. The project will be organized in a series of multinational meetings at every partner organization. At every meeting the partners will present two good practice examples of participative methods or used methods in defining the active citizens in addition to projects/ good practices in the field of non formal and formal education. All methods will be documented, collected and published at the end of the project. In order to identify the good practices, the partnership will collect indicators and create an evaluation grid to identify good practices. The grid and the method handbook will be open accessible and should be used by institutions from all education sectors in formal and non-formal learning. The project can be understood as a pre-assessment of the needs to create and test European curricula in active citizenship building through high level dialogue. The project target directly trainer and teacher in all educational sectors. During 6 project meetings we will work on 100 good practice examples, 12 input reports and 6 policy recommendations, which will be published in a comprehensive project eBook.Through sharing good practices of participation and active citizenship, CASE seek impact on all administrative, organizational and educative levels. We expect the participants of the project to extend their knowledge on training participation and active citizenship and how this is done in Europe. We expect partners organizations to professionalize and innovate their curricula through new methods. We expect the learner to become more motivated to perform lifelong learning and we expect stakeholders to become more aware on the need to include participatory methods in teaching and training. On the long run the projects wants to support the aims of the Europe 2020 strategy – to involve more people in lifelong learning, empower people to involve and strengthen the European society to fight back radicalization of any kind.
