There are several reasons for this, including geographic isolation, growing rural poverty, difficult access to employment, and low levels of participation in international projects. These young people are largely unaware of the international mobility opportunities offered by programs such as the European Solidarity Corps, Erasmus + ... where resources are offered for their professional and personal development. However, there are many rural youth organizations that strive to encourage youth participation in their communities, but face increasing difficulties in securing this long-term commitment. The lack of tools and means adapted to their expectations and difficulties is a common reason, but there is also insufficient knowledge of the resources personified by local heritage to attract young people involved in local life. At the same time, rural heritage conservation groups are struggling to mobilize young people.Cultural heritage, whether tangible or intangible, is key to the identity of rural areas and, however, is at risk of disappearing without efforts to transmit it and ""recover"" this heritage from the point of view of the youngest. However, this heritage represents a legitimate conduit to promote active European citizenship as well as a source of employment for young people with little or no academic qualifications. The project addresses two of the six rural development priorities supported by the ENRD (European Network for Rural Development, 2014-2020 programming period): Priority 1 (Knowledge transfer and innovation) and 6 (Promote social inclusion, reduction poverty and economic development in rural areas).Main goalValorize local agricultural traditions and rural heritage through the creation of a new professional profile for young workers: «Advisor for the promotion of cultural heritage in rural areas», able to use digital tools to raise awareness about rural heritage, especially among young people and parties actively involved in the project's theme.Specific objectivesSensitize young workers and local communities about the importance of rural heritage to promote economic growth, social inclusion, and cultural diversity in rural areas.Promote rural heritage and activities to guide creativity and innovation.Increase entrepreneurship and use of digital skills among young workers in rural areas to promote rural heritage.Increase skills in young workers to support the transition to a sustainable and innovative economy in rural areas.Prioritize non-formal and informal training, especially aimed at young workers and disadvantaged youth looking for their first job in rural areas.Beneficiaries:European youth aged 13-30 (target group)People with disabilities (indirect beneficiaries)Indirect beneficiaries: youth, students, youth workers, social workers, representatives of training and education centers, NGOs, associations, experts, policy makers and other key stakeholders. They will actively participate in all phases of project implementation (online learning course, pre-departure course, job observation, training and follow-up course, outreach activities).Duration: 16 monthsConsortium:P1: (ES) SER JOVEN ASSOCIATIONP2: (RU) ASOCIATIA GEYCP3: (IT) ASSOCIAZIONE DI PROMOZIONE SOCIALE JOINTP4: (ES) DESARROLLO PRÓXIMO CULTURAL ASSOCIATIONImpacts at local, regional, national and EU level:Possibility of contributing to the improvement of services for young people and the disabled by local, regional and national public and private organizations through innovative methodologies that promote youth participation and social inclusion; The expected long-term impact of the project, at the level of civil society and European policy makers, is to ensure that organizations working with young people and with people belonging to disadvantaged groups (in particular people with disabilities) are recognized as educational centers. innovative, capable of promoting social inclusion."

There is a strong link between smoking and poverty, with smoking prevalence rates highest in deprived areas of Western Europe such as the South Wales valleys and parts of Eastern Europe. Youth unemployment rates remain high across Europe. The Filter Europe is a project aimed at improving the skills and knowledge of youth workers and disadvantaged young volunteers. The aim will be to equip young volunteers and youth workers with the skills to work with young people to prevent them from smoking in the first place or address their smoking behaviour. By working with their peers and those who work closely with them, we have found that this has the greatest impact on young people. The partners include: ASH Wales in the United Kingdom as lead partner; Asociación Ser Joven in Cantabria, Spain; Jugend:info NÖ in Austria; Fundacja Dobra wola in Poland and Asociatia idei si proiecte pentru tineri activi in Romania. This will be supported by a toolkit, social media portals and a website so that young people are able to access information in the ways they want to.We will produce a good-practice guide and report on the impact of the intervention so as to encourage and inform good practice for those working in the youth field across Europe.

This is the origin of one of the innovative approaches that we want to propose with this project, emphasizing through this project the importance of strengthening ties and transactional strategies between organizations to promote European values and European citizenship. With the current movements that attack the European Union and the models of coexistence based on interculturalism, tolerance and non-racism, we believe that it is necessary to remind our young people of the origin of the European Union, so as not to make the same mistakes of past centuries and to make known the European values that guarantee a model of society based on respect, interculturality, peace and transnational cooperation. The project will implement strategies at European level and at the local level to address this aspect in an innovative way.The project aims to implement at the local level the ""ACTIVE CITIZENS SPACES +"". From this spaces the project partners will launch different actions, activities and campaigns to promote the participation and active citizenship of youth, with special emphasis to social inclusion for an integral participation of youth. From these spaces reflections on the new ways of participation in youth will be carried out in order to propose an innovative approach when promoting the active participation of youth. We intend that these spaces endure in time once the project is finished. It is expected in the Project to reach the following objectives and activities:- Start up the ""ACTIVE CITIZENS SPACES +"" in three different European countries.- Carry out three specific training actions to train workers in the field of youth and young people interested in the theme of the Project- Develop and edit one intellectual product linked to the theme of the project and of pedagogical utility for workers in the field of youth and for youth in general.- Set up a TRAVELING EXHIBITION in each of the partner countries on the origins of the European Union and the Council of Europe- Carry out a transnational meeting to prepare the project in the first months of the project. The main beneficiaries of the actions that will be developed in the project will be young people in general and young people with fewer opportunities in particular, in addition to workers in the field of youth who participate in the different training activities that will be carried out with the project. It is expected that a total of 38 people will participate in the training activities included in this project and a lot of young people participate directly or indirectly in the project, in addition to the volunteers, experts, technicians and managers of the partner organizations that will be involved in the project. the different phases of the project. Throughout the development of the project, the impact, the dissemination of results and the sustainability of the project will be important aspects that will be taken into account by all partners. The project will involve 6 organizations with extensive experience at local and European level from France, Italy and Spain.
