The second goal of the project is to develop participatory education methods and, as a result, enhance pupils’ self-esteem, sense of appreciation, school motivation and social skills. When these goals are achieved, pupils become socially active actors, which for its part reduces the risk of exclusion. The project includes two schools from Finland and one from Romania, Greece, Italy and Portugal. The most prominent results of the project are developing pupil centered lesson plans and producing ideas for sustainable development in educational establishments. We hope our project raises inspiration and develops and processes our products forward.

Active learning was supported by different media. Over three years we were aiming to sensitize childrens´ awareness of the items mentioned above.(Healthy living week, writing a cook book, sports week, ...)Children, teacher and parents from different cultures and languages met and cultivated international exchange. With transparency, open minds, creativity and a variety of ideas we wanted to share these with many people. All participants of the project learned from each other and got the chance to use their potential in an active way. All activities facilitated real and virtual exchanges. We liked to support children to become tolerant, critical thinking, self-confident and team-minded citizens who will be able to develop the future of Europe.Pupils from 3 to 16 years were included in this project. The variety of activities was adapted to their age (kindergarden, preschool, primary and secondary school). We compared, discussed and exchanged the results of the tasks. The exchange took also place in our Online-book and via mail. The partner schools met regularly. There, they exchanged experiences and organized the next steps. In this process they grew together as a community (children included). At the end of this project some products have been produced. They showed the „ finished products of the succesfull“ work. So, all participants and their communities got an idea of the sustainability of this project. As a result, we have created a DVD collection of the topics mentioned above, a cook book with healthy recipes, curricula, etc....All learning outputs are founded in our online-book „E-Step“ and are available for every person or institution who want to improve the well-being of children. These products symbolise the objectives of the project, their completed outputs and fundamentally thus served as a means of presenting these to the general public.
