"To achieve the objectives of the 2030 Agenda, the UN recognizes a strategic role to education and training, with a view to Lifelong Learning. There are two dimensions in which the Educational Institutions, generically defined, are called to participate. The first is related to their institutional mandate, that is to achieve the goals described in Goal 4: ""Provide a quality education, fair and inclusive, and learning opportunities for all"". The second is inherent in the strategic role that the Institutions plays in shaping competent and responsible new generations that contribute to sustainable development. In this scenario, the Strategic Partnership for Adult Education named ""FACIT: Fostering Active CITizenship competences"" intends to raise the standard educational approach to an upper level, by promoting interdisciplinarity as the key for Active Citizenship learning/educational opportunities, through the acquisition of specific competences coming from different sectors, from Ecology to Economy, from ICT to Participatory Democracy and Social Cohesion. The project activities are scheduled in order to achieve the project objectives: FACIT will directly affect the educators/trainers/facilitators/staff members from the 5 partner organizations from IT, FR, PT and HE, working with Neets, Unemployed adults, migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, adults facing geographical and economic disadvantages. Their involvement in every project's step will allow them to acquire new competences in the designing of innovative educational approaches to enrich Active Citizenship competences of their adult learners. After FACIT completion, the staff members will have learned how to integrate Economic, Digital, Ecologic, EU and Global Citizenships in the designing of any educational path (in any sector). This will be possible thanks to a structured work program with tailor-made activities. Beside the 3 International Meetings for coordination and management of FACIT, other specific activities are planned.1/ In the first step, by taking part to 5 Study Visits, the partners will exchange best practices on educational approaches in 5 diverse sectors, which could improve learners' Active Citizenship competences: Economy e Business start up (Kainotomia, Economic Citizenship), EU Participation (FPD, European Citizenship), Human Rights Education (Integra Onlus, Global Citizenship), ICT (E-Juniors, Digital Citizenship), Ecology and Environment protection (Geoclube, Ecological Citizenship);2/ The second step will concern the designing of a new methodological approach, adoptable in every context and sector, which will take into account all the 5 declinations of Active Citizenship previously experienced. Thanks to this new approach, in every Training course or educational path, it will be possible to ensure the full acquisition of Active Citizenship competences, regardless of the sector and the specific topic of each activity. E.g., it will be possible to educate adults to environment protection, by also introducing them to the economic impact of pollution, to the rights and duties of being EU Citizens, to the existing tools to have a say at EU level and to the necessary digital competences to use them online. In order to reach this results, one educator/teacher/facilitator per partner will be involved in a 2 months Training Assignment on Active Citizenship, to be held during summer 2021 in Portugal, when Geoclube usually hosts a Summer Camp for young adults, with the topic of Active Citizenship. The 4 foreign trainers (from FPD, Kainotomia, Integra Onlus and E-Juniors) will work together with the Geoclube's trainers; each of them will lead a training session in his/her own sector, focusing on the learning achievements in terms of Active Citizenship competences.3/ After the Training Assignments, all the partners will co-design the final draft of the methodology, which will be adopted, by each of them, at the local community contexts. The results of this practical experimentation, which will involve a total of about 150 EU learners, will be collected and discussed by the partners and they will lead to the final version of the ""FACIT TOOLKIT"", to be released and freely downloadable, among all, from the main Adult education platforms (EPALE, E+ Results Platform, SALTO)."

The COVID-19 crisis has hit the cultural and creative sectors particularly hard. One of the impacts of this project is to build the capacity to equip young people and adults with the necessary tools and competences needed to come up with creative and innovative solutions to face unprecedented risks and societal challenges as well as to unveil opportunities that can be sought in a critical context. This project aims to enhance skills development and competences that reinforce creativity, as well as to boost quality, innovation and recognition of youth work. There is a need to build accesible tools and practice examples for needed facilitators to address the question: How can Culture and Creative Sectors (CCS) help people and places to better address the new challenges brought about by pandemia, climate change, globalisation, demographic change and technological breakthroughs? This project is about to inspire and to develop competence of existing and establishing new learning networks. The overall aim is to develop a resource platform for CCS facilitators which will provide them with tools for a continued creative development of the cultural and creative sectors - with a special emphasis on involving and including young people in this revitalization and innovation of the CCS.The project will realize this through three mutually interacting components/objectives:1: Develop and establish an open e-learning platform for online course modules and resources on cultural mapping and citizen involvement in community planning2: Develop a prototype eModel for cultural mapping which can serve as tool for local and regional analysis of the CCS3: Boost the knowledge and understanding of the importance of cultural mapping and planning to advance the CCS in the EU and the Member States.By these objectives, the project will offer a digital tool to European cities and regions that faces many challenges as it is being reshaped by the digital evolution and the post-Covid19 challenges. Part of the project will be to launch 5 local strategic creative actions with youth involved, min. 1 being with disadvantaged citizens. These local creative actions will ensure that the project is not top down, but bottom-up, too.The core results of the project are: 1 e-learning platform, 3 online course modules and resources on cultural mapping and citizen involvement in community planning (cultural planning, creative entrepreneurship, global impact and facilitation), 1 prototype eModel on cultural mapping, 3 cultural plannings - best practice for inspiration - from local and regional analysis of the CCS to strategy development: 5 local innovative participatory and intercultural dialogue approaches (concrete examples with young people taking part in the cultural and creative sectors, dissemination materials - newsletters, leaflets, standard PPT – project presentation, press releases, articles in professional publications/elaborated in correspondence with project milestones/schedule/multiplier events. "The project ""Barboleta Learning Board Methodology"" is developed with the aim to develop methodology and exercises and IT platform for the work with the innovative learning balance board which supports and enhances the learning process in holistic and dynamic way. Different researches as well the observations of different specialists show that in recent years more and more children suffer from the learning difficulties affecting speech, memory, attention, logical thinking, and other vital functions. In 2006 in the C. Turkington and J. Hariss indicated that already 20% of children from overall population have learning difficulties. In Latvia recent researches show that in 2016/17 approximately 20% from overall children in schools and kindergarten are with different learning difficulties and each year the number of children with learning difficulties is growing. Similar situation is also in other countries. To tackle this problem in 2016 the representative form the SIA ""Barboleta"" Ms. Baiba Blomniece Jurāne developed innovative learning balance board which with the movement helps to children improve the ability to concentrate, emotionally involve in the learning process and decrease the stress level and the work on the balance board is mixed with the task bars. In order to improve the usage and performance of the developed learning balance board, it is necessary to develop methodology for working with this learning balance board so that the exercises with the balance board can be easily incorporated in the learning process and in the work of the psychologists, special teachers, speech therapist etc. Therefore the main objective of the project “""Barboleta Learning Board Methodology” is to create, test and disseminate the working methodology, exercises and digital IT platform in the international level for the work and usage of the learning balance board. The target audience of this project primarily are teachers and different specialists working with the children. As indirect target group is identified children and pupils who will benefit from the learning process with the balance board and will improve their learning abilities, emotional stability and decrease the stress level. In the project implementation partners from 3 countries will be involved as it is important to get the knowledge form different specialists and professionals in different countries so that developed methodology and exercises can be used worldwide. Involved partner organizations have significant experience in the work with children and pupil with different learning difficulties, with the asylum seekers and one of the partners is the leading university in the country in pedagogy and psychology studies.During the project implementation it is envisaged to develop three Intellectual Outputs:1) Methodology for the work with the learning balance board. It is planned to develop clear guidelines for the specialists as speech therapists, psychologists etc. on the use of the learning board in different situations in order to improve the learning process and abilities.2) Exercises to use with the learning board. It is planned to develop exercises for learning native language, English, mathematics, reading skills development and memory function improvement. All developed exercises will be available in the project partner languages (Latvian, Italian, Lithuanian) and English.3) Digital IT platform where all exercises will be available for the use with the learning balance board.During the project implementation it is planned to develop and also test developed materials. The impact from the project implementation will be observed on several target groups:1) project partners - improved international cooperation capacity and improved competitiveness in the provided services;2) specialists as speech therapists, psychologists, teachers - innovative, effective and attractive learning method available for the use with children with learning difficulties and also other persons;3) children with learning difficulties - improved competencies and skills through the use of the learning board. It is expected that through different dissemination activities the wider audience will acknowledge the learning difficulties problem in nowadays and provided materials will enhance the inclusion of these persons in the education system and working environment."
