These schools are located in different corners of the European Union (Guadeloupe for the tropics, Spain for the south of the European Union and forests, Italy for the south of the European Union and the mountains, the Bulgaria for the mountains further to the east and Poland to the east: a school near the forests and another near an industrial zone).Description of the main activities implemented: creation of a digital educational resource with credits (student reporters, cameraman, actors, training of teachers in the investigation process, realization of a digital teaching resource, project and resource evaluations , educational outings, trips for pupils and educational advisers and inspectors in partner countries).Long-term benefits: Development of digital and language skills, development of a sense of belonging to the European community, knowledge of global warming and environmental consequences, discovery of the environment, discovery of a country of the European Union, its culture, its traditions ...

Showed the usefulness of Maths in different areas of life we encouraged students to widen their knowledge and broaden their minds.Dealing with numbers through nature, geography, money, travelling, ecology and saving energy, art, songs, social media and ICT, student broadened their basic numeracy skills as well as improved their English language knowledge, which was the official language of the project.There were 9 participating schools in the project from 8 European countries: Portugal, Croatia, Latvia, Italy, Poland, Spain, France and United Kingdom.In our activities plan we addressed students of various age, from pre-school to finishing years of primary school or lower secondary school (depending of school systems in each country) which meant from 5-6 year old to 13-14 year old.Students worked on different activities related to numbers and everyday life, English language and ICT.The first activity pupils worked on ''Facts and figures about our school, village/town, region, country. Then, we explored symbols of money in each country, money throughout history and old currency of each “euro” country, credit cards, online payments. Comparing prices of basic things: bread, meal, milk, fuels, electricity…Activity ''Numbers, nature and ecology'' were about number of national parks, animals that only live in that country, plants, trees, endangered animals and plants.Next activities was Erasmuspoly and Travelling in numbers. Related to the game Erasmuspoly which was created during Short-term exchanges of groups of pupils, pupils in each school choosed towns/cities/interesting places from their country, explore them and present for the game. During “Travelling in numbers”, we made it in pairs partners’ schools, pupils from two schools worked together online, calculated and compared distances between schools; drawed the map; measure distances using Google Earth; means of travelling, how long will you travel by car, etc., use ViaMichelin website; make comic book, story about travelling to partners' places.Next activities were related to Safer Internet Day - facts and figures, numbers about benefits, dangers of Internet, with the ICT teacher, pupils produced comic banners and distributed them to other classes, and also exchanged them by mail to other partners schools.Following activities were related to pupils using smartphones/tablets to experiment augmented reality applications, they learned how to create QR codes with links of songs, webpages, videos, embed them on blogs, twinspace.Pupils made numbers/maths multilingual picture dictionary in all partners' languages - in paper. Pupils decorated numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 in A3 format, with symbols of their country; exchange with all partner schools.During activity “Erasmus City’’ pupils created 3D monuments from all partners’ places. They explored height, width, shapes of those monuments, calculated the ratio of actual size and size of 3D model. They studied things like: age, years, decade, era, century, bC & aC.Activity “Proverbs and Acrostic texts” was about sayings, graffiti related to numbers and creating Acrostic texts (number words) on bookmarks.We organised five short-term exchanges of groups of pupils during which pupils worked on: Money, numbers in the everyday life, Numbers and ecology, saving energy, Erasmuspoly (board game), Interactive boards and augmented reality numbers/maths multilingual picture dictionary.Also, teachers were a target group regarding their professional development in the areas related to Mathematics, English and ICT, which are Financial education, using WEB 2.0 tools, using social media in classrooms, using eTwinning platform, sharing good practice in using number games and pedagogical maths games in classes, sharing ideas how to use Interactive boards and tablets in classroom, Content and Language Integrated Content and using different Mental maths strategies.By the end of the project at least 60 pupils and 181 teachers were directly involved in the project and many more indirectly, by dissemination of participating pupils and teachers.We expected to popularise Maths as a school subject, enlarged awareness of using numbers and basic numeracy skills in everyday life, improved English language knowledge, broadened and improved digital skills, made more popular the use of eTwinning portal and different social media among participating organisations and wider, exchanged of didactic materials, experienced and ideas between teachers, made friends between our schools and continued the friendship after the end of the project.

We all are Primary Schools and some of us have several experiences in international projects. In contrast, the coordinators of the project only have a little experience, only doing eTwinning projects for three years now. But this fact has not been an obstacle to develop our project. “Don't Forget what Really Matters"" is a project born by the necessity of making the children more human and developing the need of social inclusion among them. The main aim of our project is turning our students into good citizens. Linked with what we have said before we find the environmental issues that we also work in our project. The project has been applied with children aged 10-12. Even though, all the children in the schools and the rest of the School's Communities have been taking part part of it in different activities.Main selection criteria for choosing students who participated in LTT project activities were parental agreement and pupil's involvement in the project activities, willingness and eagerness to participate in a travelling experience. Project’s main objectives:- Do cooperative work among other countries and different cultures.- Develop solidarity values among people and environment.- Develop an active and responsible role as a world citizen that starts in their own communities.- Promote the respect towards different cultures.- Include non discriminating habits in the students’ daily lives in order to make a fairer society.- Know the refugees current issue, its causes and consequences.- Promote the critical thinking towards stereotypes.- Be concerned about the current environment problems in Europe from the nearest to the furthest experiences.- Reinforce the knowledge that children have about the situations that refugees and immigrants go through.- Develop children’s positive attitudes towards immigrants and refugees.- Promote the refugees inclusion in the society.- Develop the children’s awareness towards the importance of taking care of the environment and people . During 1st year of project, pupils were involved in activities about migration. Pupils, age 10 - 12 were participating in common project activities - making a project logo and voting for the best one, watching and discussing a video about migration, and making their family trees and researching their own family history.The LTT in Greece allowed children meet each other for the first time.Children were able to learn the real situation of refugee lives and situations at refugee camps: they couldn't go to the planned refugee camp visit, because of an internal set of circumstances happening at the camp at that moment. As a result children developed positive attitude towards immigrants and refugees.The Greek students prepared a black theatre play based on the story ""Karlichen"" written by UNHCR. In the 2nd year of the project, pupils worked on environmental issues. All the activities in Latvia focused in this issue. Pupils of all project countries made one comic about saving the environment, together drew a cooperative puzzle 'A Clean Environment', cleaned local areas, made a Decalogue about reducing waste, recycled different materials by creating decorations.During LTT in Poland, students, in international groups worked together on environmental issues during the seminar, workshops and after that they prepared together musical instruments from recycled materials. Meeting- interactive, musical performance about tolerance, friendship, with the school community, in which students acted and sang together. Other activities in Poland: interactive games with QR codes using SAM Labs blocks for programming and iPads, talent show presenting national dances and culture as well.The activities below are only few examples of other tasks done in the different schools . All the materials can be found in the project blog, the Results Platform and the Twinspace.Latvia:-Contest in Latvian school - “Get to know Europe”-Collecting donations for animal shelter.Greece:-The tree of timeless value. - Visit to the refugee camp in Koutsohero.- Christmas bazaar of recycled :the profits were sent to the non-profit organisation ""The Child's Smile"".Italy:-School activity in cooperation with the Mazzarino scout group entitled ""At school of recycling"".Poland: -The World Water Day-Erasmus Day- Several dissemination activities around Europe.Spain:-A Bosnian refugee talk for all the school's community.-Cakes contest : the profits went to an NGO from Ethiopia. -Town hall organised an exhibition about refugees.in our school .-Two dissemination activities for teachers in our area. Regarding the impact, and, as a non tangible result, we have realised the improvement of the awareness towards the importance of taking care of the environment and people in our schools communities. The visible results consist on all the tasks done and resources used to carry on the project."

PagotoFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2019-1-PL01-KA229-064972Funder Contribution: 119,356 EUR"Our project ""Maths as a window to the world"" was created as a result of observing the need to unite European countries by having highly qualified maths students with high digital and language skills, available to move around Europe, open and ready to search for innovative solutions for the development of the community. We observe that traditional lessons are not very attractive for the modern generation. For the majority maths is perceived as a difficult and boring school subject, and technic is perceived as a male profession. We want to incorporate modern technologies and ICT tools for learning and teaching, to show the beauty of maths, its universality, practical application and importance in every aspect of life and science.The project provides a framework for partner schools to develop their approach and methods for the needs of education and for the better benefit of the modern student. In a situation where pupils and organisations are forced to meet and respond to the needs of 21st century European society, changes in the teaching and learning of the pupils themselves are necessary. In view of these changes, we want to equip young learners with mathematical and digital competences and to strengthen communication and language skills. The project promotes the student's ability to present ideas, points of view, arguments, methods of solving and interpretation on an international level, both through e-virtual tasks and direct teamwork and location workshops in 4 schools. It provides students with insights and experience in the use of ICT tools and technologies, in the development and improvement of mathematical skills, while at the same time developing language and interpersonal skills. Over the two years of project work, pupils, teachers and schools will make intensive use of the eTwinning platform, the online blog, contacts, which will give each participant, but also each school, the competence to share, inspire others and recognise new partners to develop the basic elements of a new European vision for teaching and learning.The main objective of the project will be to develop and improve mathematical competences with the practical use of modern technologies and ICT tools, creativity, innovation, critical thinking, problem solving, learning to learn and teamwork.In particular:-development of students' knowledge and mathematical skills,-to get to know different aspects and applications of mathematics in science and everyday life,-development of skills of algorithmic thinking and problem solving,-Improving the ability to apply mathematical principles and theorems to solve problems, arguing-Improving the ability to use modern technologies and ICT tools in learning mathematics,-improving personal skills to facilitate communication across borders,-development of students' motivation to learn maths,-development of students' motivation to learn English,-development of teamwork skills,-following modern trends in education, learning about innovative methods and forms of teaching,-increasing the international mobility of pupils and teachers-shaping the European dimension of schools,-getting to know the culture, customs and monuments of a given region, country.Participation in the project will have a significant impact on the image of schools in the local and international environment, as it will contribute to the improvement of the quality of education and development of significant competences of students valued on the modern European educational and professional market, the institutions will strengthen their European dimension, increase the school credibility for the implementation of further projects, which will facilitate the future organisation of further international projects Erasmus+, eTwinning and others. Collabor-ACTION!"" (""T2C"", hereafter) is the sequel of our eTwinning project ""Take 1... Collabor-ACTION!"". It is a cinema-based project created by four partner countries: Spain, Latvia, Italy and Poland. Despite being so far away in physical distance, we have spotted we are really close to each other in relation to a series of common needs we all share. Many of our children suffer from mild and severe learning difficulties, behaviour and attention disorders, and complications in language development and literacy skills. In some cases, this fact stems from our children's social background, as many of them live in dysfunctional families. All these characteristics make our students children with less opportunities, putting many of them at risk of social exclusion. Hence, with ""T2C"" and our cinema-based methodology, we want to help our children overcome the obstacles that may lead to their social inclusion and turn them into democratic citizens of the European Union. Why use cinema as an anchor?We have observed children with this problematic frequently show themselves shyer and less confident, affecting this directly in their learning process. Through the years we have noticed that these pupils have found shelter in cinema-based activities, as they are carried out in an anxiety-free environment. Also, they find it highly motivating. These activities have let our children boost their confidence and thus propelled their learning process.How will it be done? Despite the final product of ""T2C"" being the creation of a collaborative film by the 4 partners, working within a cinema-based approach does not only entail making a film. ""T2C"" plans a series of activities, workshops, online meetings and mobility activities abroad to be carried out within a competence-oriented approach. This will make our educative community develop ""Key Competences for Lifelong Learning"" proposed by the Council of the EU, such as literacy, multilingualism, digital and technology-based competences, interpersonal skills, entrepreneurship, and cultural awareness and expression.Within a cinema-based approach, our children will learn aspects related to:-History of Cinema, influential people, and important discoveries and inventions that led to the creation of this Art.-Main film genres and their main features, such as camera angles, make-up, expressing their feelings and performing arts. -How to write a film script.-Filming and editing videos to create a film.As we said, all these contents will be carried out within a competence-oriented approach, but how? They will develop literacy skills by reading and writing film scripts, describing scenarios and characters, and telling stories orally and written. As the common language for the partners is English, our students will need to do some tasks of ""T2C"" in English, and of course, communication among themselves will be in this language. Moreover, they will work in national and transnational teams on eTwinning, which will develop interpersonal skills such as teamwork, caring for each other, leadership and democratic values, among others. Also, this will make our pupils be aware of European Union cultures, fostering this way their sense of European citizenship. In order to work in teams, many of our children will be in charge of updating the TwinSpace of the project and they will use this network to communicate among themselves, which will contribute to develop their digital competence. Also regarding this competence, creating a film also entails learning how to use image and video editing software. They will also create online questionnaires to vote for important decisions in the course of our project. We want our students to promote their entrepreneurship and take their own decisions for the creation of our final product: a collaborative film.For us, for others, for the future.We expect ""T2C"" to have a tremendous long-term impact on our whole educative community. Some of our children who are not progressing well at school might find in cinema the motivation to finish their compulsory studies and, why not, do a Vocational Training Course related to the world of audiovisuals or arts in the future. Also, we believe that the project will support teachers' motivation for their long-term work and professional development beyond regular education even after the end of the project.Nevertheless, ""T2C"" aims to influence other educative communities too. Thus, many outputs from project activities are designed to be used not only by ourselves during the project, but also reused afterwards by other schools, as they will be stored on the project website. Throughout the project, we will host Open Doors days with town officials and other schools’ teachers and pupils. Our intention is not only to show and promote our project, but try to persuade more organisations into the world of Erasmus+ and its benefits, ensuring this way long-lasting effects for ""Take 2... Collabor-ACTION!""."
