All five have been collaborating since 2014 and are implementing the ‘Get Ready for Life’ project since 2017. The project will use lessons learnt and the educational approach that helps the development of young peoples` skills in key entrepreneurship traits: risk-taking and problem-solving that facilitate achievement of life goals.The project has three main objectives:- To build the capacities of Azerbaijani and Georgian civil society organisations - To strengthen the competences of youth workers in providing youth entrepreneurship education for young people - To strengthen networks of civil society organisations working with youth and entrepreneurship between Eastern Partnership, the EU and Turkey Objectives will be achieved through the following activities:- A fellowship programme for youth workers from EaP in youth organisations working with entrepreneurship in the partner countries: Turkey, Netherlands and Italy- Ten local follow-up workshops in schools and youth centres in Azerbaijan and Georgia, run by fellows building on their experiences abroad - An international partnership-building activity on entrepreneurship and life skills in Azerbaijan- A training of trainers for entrepreneurship educators in youth work in Azerbaijan- Ten local youth entrepreneurship forums in Azerbaijan and Georgia Activities will lead to the following outcomes: Project outputs include:- A total of 12 youth workers – civil society fellows enhance their skills and capacity in entrepreneurship (12 AZE, 12 GEO)- A total of 240 young people trained in basic entrepreneurship and life skills by fellows returning from their placements abroad - A total of 32 project managers involved in 15 pan-European networks will establish partnerships as a result of the PBA- A total of 40 trainers in entrepreneurship trained- A network of 300 educators, entrepreneurs and civil society activists will be built through local youth entrepreneurship forums Project impact: - Strengthened civil society in Azerbaijan and Georgia- Enhanced capacity of youth organisations in all five countries - Young people in Georgia and Azerbaijan more aware of opportunities offered by entrepreneurships- Higher level of co-operation between EU and EaP countries as well as Turkey
more_vert assignment_turned_in ProjectPartners:AZERBAYCAN TELEBELERI, ACADEMY FOR PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT, ASOCIACIJA APKABINK EUROPA, ULUSLARARASI CALISMA DERNEGI, EUROCEAN +1 partnersAZERBAYCAN TELEBELERI,ACADEMY FOR PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT,ASOCIACIJA APKABINK EUROPA,ULUSLARARASI CALISMA DERNEGI,EUROCEAN,NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATION «ALL-UKRAINIAN NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATION «PORUCH»Funder: European Commission Project Code: 589594-EPP-1-2017-1-AZ-EPPKA2-CBY-EP-PEFunder Contribution: 146,434 EURAgainst the background, of high youth unemployment in Europe and shortcomings in formal and non-formal educational processes to equip young people with adequate skills and competences for the labour market, the project “Get Ready for Life – Youth Entrepreneurship Education for Personal Development” aims to enhance organisational capacities and international cooperation on youth entrepreneurship education in order to strengthen civil society activities for the development of young peoples` skills in risk-taking and problem solving that facilitate achievement of life goals.Concretely, the project aims to achieve three project objectives:- To strengthen the competences of youth workers in providing youth entrepreneurship education for young people- To develop comprehensive educational materials for youth entrepreneurship education programmes focussing on pursing and achieving life goals, entrepreneurial thinking and soft skills development of young people with fewer opportunities living in deprived urban and rural areas- To increase the use and quality of international mobility activities for young people`s personal developmentThe project is composed of a combination of qualification programmes for youth workers and young people, research, the development of educational resources and the realisation of local youth entrepreneurship initiatives addressing societal challenges on local level in Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Georgia:- Training course on youth entrepreneurship education- Training of trainers on youth entrepreneurship education- Research on practices on soft skill development and entrepreneurial thinking - Training module development for youth entrepreneurship education- Local training courses on soft skill development and entrepreneurial thinking for young people- Local youth entrepreneurship activities- Networking seminar on international mobility programmes for personal development of young peopleWith this activity bundle, the project offers a joint European approach of civil society organisations to youth entrepreneurship education, particularly in view to soft skill development and entrepreneurial thinking as key transversal competences for young people for achievement of their life goals.Thus, the project is not just another proposal to multiply existing approaches and methods on entrepreneurship education for development of business ideas and social enterprises but aims to enlarge the educational dimension of youth entrepreneurship education to those young people who do not wish to become entrepreneurs but aim to improve valuable employability skills such as communication skills, teamwork and collaboration, adaptability, problem solving, critical observation, conflict resolution.The 20-months project is a joint cooperation project of civil society organisations from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Turkey, Lithuania and the Netherlands.
