DigiVIBES is based on the shared analysis that sees, in the respective partner institutes, a growing disinterest in musical subjects, the cause of which is unanimously identified in an approach that is too old-fashioned, based on frontal and ""mainstream"" teaching. The partners are aware that the introduction of an innovative digital, transversal and inclusive teaching method of the musical subject, as well as interdisciplinary teachings that use music as a common thread, will stimulate the acquisition of key competences, with a significant impact on the learning styles. Not only that: the project also responds to the priorities of:- digitization and innovation of educational systems, through a massive use of softwares, tools and mobile Apps for learning; - inclusion of pupils with special educational needs, foreseeing their participation in mobility and adapting the didactic modules developed to all learning styles; - empowerment of teachers' skills, with the creation of two dedicated joint staff training events and continuous professional growth thanks to the international comparison during the development of the DigiVIBES Toolkit; - dissemination of the common values and identity of the EU, as, through the various musical activities, emphasis will be placed on the musical traditions of the countries represented, allowing pupils to reflect on the social, cultural and historical heritage of the different musical genres. The aims are:- achieve a significant impact on pupils' learning styles, stimulating interest and motivation thanks to the inclusion of ICT in the teaching of music education- contribute to the development of key, transversal and life skills of pupils through the innovation of teaching methodologies and renewed approaches to teaching music disciplines in an interdisciplinary way and with a massive use of ICT- adapt the skills and methodological tools available to teachers to respond more effectively to social challenges, supporting them through continous training and European comparison in the development of innovative teaching and assessment methods in music education. The specific objectives are:- To experiment the implementation of specific software and digital technologies for music education, alongside the multimedia textbook, aimed at enhancing teaching strategies and, consequently, triggering positive effects on learning.- Develop innovative teaching materials that include:o interdisciplinary connections, through the involvement of teachers of musical disciplines but also artistic-literary and mathematical-scientific ones in the elaboration and experimentation phase of DigiVIBESo the use of digital tools, software and mobile applications for learning music and acquiring key skillso an inclusive approach, which provides for the adaptability of teaching items to all learning styles and different skills to be tested on international pilot classes, which will also include children with SEN, during international mobility. The main tangible result consists in the ""DigiVIBES Toolkit"", a compendium of good practices where the digital, interdisciplinary and inclusive learning units submitted to students during mobility and tested in international classrooms will be collated, which will cover 6 different musical styles in European history: Classical, Folk, Rock, Jazz, Electronic and Musical Music. Two joint staff training events are planned (Italy - October 2020 and Holland - May 2022) in which directly involved teachers will participate, to allow them to discuss the organizational and managerial methods of the musical teaching in their respective schools, but also on the pedagogical and didactic functions linked to the assessment of the skills acquired. The project foresees six short term exchanges of pupils, too, one in each partner country, for a total of 20 pupils of 11/13 years old directly involved in the mobility, during which they will be able to deepen musical genres generally little explored in the school and to experiment the transversal, digital and inclusive didactic modules elaborated by the teachers.DigiVIBES also shines a light on the empowerment of teachers, aimed at acquiring skills to teach music through new digital tools and softwares and at reaching the structured integration of digital, interdisciplinary and inclusive teaching units that have music as a common thread in the school curriculum. It is therefore clear how DigiVIBES aims to achieve a lasting and profound impact in the educational communities involved and, thanks to the careful dissemination plan, at local and European level."

(2019/2021)Context of the project :Joseph Anglade secondary school is located in the south of France, between Narbonne (20 km) and Carcassonne (35 km) in Lézignan Corbières (12 000 Ha). More than half of the 730 students use school transport to come from the Lezignanese region, the Corbières and the Minervois. It is a very rural and disadvantaged area with some students who have never been to the sea (40 km away) with their parents !Most of our students lack initiative, investment and ambition. Some school trips or exchanges are organized but they are often expensive so they can't afford it.After working since 2013 with students from the scientific workshop on the theme of eco-mobility, it seemed natural to us to look for partners on e-Twinning to start an Erasmus+ project on the theme : European youth for a greener future : change together !Number and profile of participants :130 students (12/15 years old) will participate in this project, divided into 4 schools : Midsund skule (Norway), OSG Hengelo/Bataafs Lyceum (Netherlands), Gymnasio Neapolis Lasithiou (Greece) and Joseph Anglade secondary school (France). Among all these students, about 50 of them come from disadvantaged socio-professional categories and/or have academic difficulties. Objectives :This project will develop the students' skills and competencies through innovative (video stop motion, e-book, Kahoot) and collaborative practices (eTwinning, TwinSpace, Google Drive, Padlet), as well as digital tools to inform, question, calculate, broadcaste (ICT, Libre Office, Google Forms, Prezi, Learning Apps, Bitly, Mentimeter, Vimeo). All these students will carry out group and/or individual activities to improve speaking skills, especially in foreign languages.Description of activities :We will address several topics :European overview for a greener future and a focus on the history of transport in FranceSustainable development in transport and a focus on cycling in the NetherlandsEcological means of transport and focus on snow/ice travel in NorwayThe sustainable city of the future and a focus on the history of transport in Crete (Greece)4 student mobilities will be carried out in 2 years. Each host country will receive students from the other 3 partner countries at the same time. Each mobility will be an opportunity to zoom in on the host country.Methodology used to carry out the project :The Dutch and Norwegian partners have already carried out an Erasmus KA229 project. In addition, they are really involved in eTwinning. The Greek partner has no Erasmus and eTwinning experience yet. As for us (French partner), we have already participated in several projects involving several French institutions, as well as in 2 ESE (Expo-Sciences Europe). Each team, carrying out an action, will be autonomous in its realization while respecting :* regular internet exchanges to move the action forward* an exhaustive definition of the action in a collaborative way* the activities of the action and its timetable* a regular report on the progress of the action* the realization of 4 Erasmus Events entitled ""let's run for the planet : changing together ! "" : media coverage of the relay ran by students from the 4 countries and calculation of the carbon equivalence corresponding to different means of transport* a final report of the action: on TwinSpace, at the school library and during an evening presentation to all those involved in this project (families, colleagues, administration, partners).Expected results and impacts :We will produce posters, a stop motion video, a survey of all students from the 4 partner schools on their travels to school, a review of the results on the TwinSpace eTwinning, graphics, an e-book and/or mobile phone application, a calendar and DVD with our best articles, reports, photos/videos, a presentation/restitution evening.Potential long-term benefits :A change in the behaviour of our students to develop greener transport. To increase the skills of our students, remotivate exceptional students, enable students to want to work abroad, open them to other cultures, increase their level of English and make them more comfortable speaking. To encourage my colleagues in carrying out other Erasmus projects, with our help and experience. An awareness of the leaders of the cities where we live in order to move towards a more ecological future."
