The main aim of this project is to train youth workers working in the youth field in learning how to improve their skills, to empower organisations working with youths, and to establish cross-sectoral cooperation between Programme and Partner countries. Human trafficking is a form of modern slavery. It includes both sex trafficking and forced labour. Youth with difficult family situations or histories of trauma, including those with fewer opportunities, can be at greater risk. The victims of human trafficking cannot enjoy any human rights including right to life, right to food, shelter, freedom from torture, freedom of movement, or choice of employment. To prevent the abuse of rights for victims of human trafficking, youth workers can take local level initiative to create awareness against human trafficking and promote ‘safe migration’. Education of youth workers, awareness and cooperation can defeat trafficking and the human rights abuse itbrings to youth. Youth serving organisations are in a unique position to recognise and identify youth who may be on the path to becoming victims and offer assistance to them and reduce the prevalence of human trafficking in their communities. Specific Objectives1. Promote exchange of information and knowledge between partner and programme countriesconcerning the issue of human trafficking; 2. Increase participants’ knowledge on human trafficking from a Human Rights approach; 3. Provide participants with specific knowledge, information and tools that should be used in human trafficking prevention and awareness; 4. Develop and pilot a range of sex trafficking (self)assessment/screening tools and information materials for youth, as well as service providers, law enforcement, and the community at large; 5. Give participants a deep knowledge about human trafficking, through activities which foster better understanding about circumstances, background, reasons of the trafficked people.6. Encourage new partnerships and collaboration between partners; 7. Through the non-formal learning, the development of competences that can be used in future jobs and activities in the youth field;8. Provide opportunities for experiential based learning through job shadowing and9. Sharing of best practices. The activities and mobilities in this project will address the following objectives set by the Erasmus+ Programme Guide, under the funding strand Capacity Building in the Field of Youth: - Foster cooperation and exchanges in the field of youth between Programme Countries and Partner Countries from different regions of the world;- Improve the quality and recognition of youth work, non-formal learning and volunteering in Partner Countries; and- Promote transnational non-formal learning mobility between Programme and Partner Countries.Project will give youth workers tools to carry out their work and thus shall contribute to address the lack of capacity of human resources in youth organisations.

Among the main causes of poverty in Europe are lack of education, lack of employment opportunities, past personal experiences and different cultural backgrounds. During these last decades Europe has experienced a large influx of migrants coming from Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Most of these persons experience trauma during their voyage to Europe. This will have a negative effect on their social skills. Besides, their level of education will not be recognised by the hosting country and they will thus encounter a lack of employment opportunities. These characteristics will lead to poverty and social exclusion. The aim of this project is to help educators and workers identify persons who are finding difficult to live, and learn how to educate them in an informal way which will lead to employment and social inclusion. Training will be given to educators who teach workers / front liners and other educators who interact with Third Country Nationals (TCNs) how to identify persons who experienced trauma and how to help them socially interact with others, and what basic skills they need to give them before encouraging TCNs to participate in formal recognised training courses. The objectives are:a) Increase employee motivation and job satisfaction among people working with TCNs,b) Increase innovation and efficiency in processes, leading to socially including TCNs,c) Increase capacity to adopt new technologies, strategies, methods and services being offered,d) Increase in the skills levels, competencies needed to do the job well and reduce employee turnover,e) Increase the identification of victims of human trafficking or smuggling.f) give basic skills to TCNs for future employment; andg) have a holistic on-line training to different citizens from different EU Member States. This project includes organisations from Malta, United Kingdom, Romania and Slovenia. More than 50 persons will be directly participating in the project. These participants will include front liners and educators who work with TCNs, victims of human trafficking and smuggling, administrative staff from the participating organisations, and important stakeholders such as NGOs working with TCNs and government officials.'Effective Education for Persons Working with Vulnerable People' (EEPWVP) will comprise the establishment of three different intellectual outputs: the creation of a training manual, the training e-course and the creation of a mobile application. These tools will be used in training programmes to help front line staff and educators working with TCNs with practical skills to accurately perform their key duties involving identifying victims, implementing protection systems and dequately safeguarding victims. The training will address the basic skills needed by these persons, and how to lead them to participate at a community level. It will also highlight immediate services required by persons who experienced human trafficking or smuggling, including safe accommodation, medical care, counseling and education. The project will include a number of activities including transnational meetings, research, administrative activities, and hands on activities that will lead to the creation of the intellectual outputs and a number of national conferences and training programmes to promote the intellectual outputs. The methodology to be used will be very informal and we will try to change the approach according to the target group of each particular activity. The expected immediate results are:- 400 printed manuals;- 500 persons downloading the soft copy of the manual from our websites;- around 1,200 participants to undergo online training in the first five years of the e-course - around 500 persons will make use of the mobile application; and- around 180 persons will attend the conferences and training on the intellectual outputs. The expected impact and long term benefits include a strengthened relationship amongst all participating organisations and their volunteers and workers, increase int eh level of efficiency of NGOs and workers that interact with TCNs by giving TCNs the requested services and basic skills, help TCNs, especially victims of smuggling and human trafficking to overcome the trauma they passed through, and complement the national policies to integrate TCNs into the local communities.

Lack of social inclusion is one of the major social, economic and political issues of contemporary societies and the lack of information related to the issue is perpetuating related challenges both for people and societies. Media connectivity allows greater communication and information flow, but the fast and often uncontrolled flow of information can also lead to increasingly polarized representations of those people (e.g. refugees, migrants, sick or disabled people, etc.) among receiving communities, by conjuring xenophobic viewpoints that effectively ‘strip the humanity’ away from migrants and refugees. We believe that fostering these skills and dispositions among the public is the responsibility of governmental and non-governmental organizations that interface with the problem of lack of social inclusion. The question of how organizations, public actors, and citizens can appropriate digital and media literacies to foster more engagement, empathy, and connection between receiving communities and refugees/migrants is the starting point of this project. The project with a partnership of 8 European countries, focuses on the idea that young people can do sport in order to increase social inclusion. The main target group in terms of end-users is youth 18-40, from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. At the same time, the benefits of the project stretch beyond the young people who will directly participate in the training, because it will provide a platform for expression for excluded societies in the participating countries and aim to foster tolerance and solidarity between cultures, empowering young Europeans to be active, participative citizens, which is beneficial to the community at large. During the project life cycle, the partners will be designing an innovative methodology for empowering young people to address issues related to social inclusion, look for solutions and provoke action using critical thinking. The methodology will be based on a few interrelated workshops. Participation in sports activities the training program will help young people to think logically and constructively to solve issues that they encounter in real life and put their ideas into practice being active. The main objectives are:-To promote the role of the sport as a tool for the integration of youth with fewer opportunities.-Inclusion of the project's end-users to the society through innovative tools, materials, and methods-Development of flexible and practical solutions (outputs and activities) that could be easily transferred to other national contexts, apart from those of the partner countries.-Creation of new methodologies for social inclusion using a sport as a tool-Gather passionate young people to experience a new tool and share their experiences, be inspired by new moves and sport techniques.-Using sport as a tool to show that there are no borders between generations and that they are equal society members. The project will :Strengthen the capacity of youth workers and youth organizations in working with/for social inclusionImprove their personal skills, making them more open-minded Boost active citizenship of the youth of the 21th-century skills like problem-solving, being active, self-expression, creativity, etc.Support the social inclusion of both migrants/refugees and the young participants' of the project as well. Tangible outcomes :BLOG/VLOG where one can find the digital stories, videos and blog posts created by our young participants;LEARNİNG PLATFORM where one can find the video gallery of bite lessons prepared by the experts from all partner organizations. These are divided into 3 modules:A Facebook group for participants stay in touch after the training, exchanges ideas and continue their interaction. The main aim of this project is to support youth workers working in the youth field in learning how to improve their skills, to empower organisations working with youths, and to establish cross-sectoral cooperation between Programme Countries and Partner Countries. The European and African youth organisations will use their knowledge and experience to build a non-formal training module on youth work, based on the number of issues raised by all involved youth organisations, including the needs of African youth workers. This project will include 4 organisations from Programme Countries, including Malta, Greece, Romania and Ireland and 2 organisations from Partner Countries, including Zimbabwe and South Africa. The project, which will start in March 2016 and last for fourteen months, will include the following Capacity Building activities and mobilities:- Transnational meetings;- Research and compilation of an informal training module;- Mobility of youth workers in Zimbabwe - a nine day activity including training, workshops, job simulation and sharing of best practices;- Mobility of youth workers in European countries where different youth workers will have an observation period and job shadowing experience in different organisations according to their needs;- Publication of a training handbook on youth work; and- Awareness raising on the importance of youth work.Through different activities, such as sharing of best practices, research and hands-on activities, the project will target the different needs of youth workers coming from the mentioned countries. The work carried out by all participants will be recognised through the issuing of Youth Pass certificate to all involved persons. The outcomes of this project are:- Youth workers with enhanced skills;- Youth organisations rendering a better and more effective service; - Youth work is more recognised and respected; and- More youths are engaged and making use of services by youth organisations. The project will also promote long term and sustainable cooperation between youth organisations, while fostering the process of development of quality youth policies and services through training. Apart from the development of a network of youth organisations and other relevant stakeholders, the project will improve the management and internationalisation of youth organisations in Partner Countries. The activities included in the project will improve the skills of youth workers, and thus we will indirectly be improving the performance and the quality of the service delivered by youth organisations. This will eventually translate into a direct positive impact on young people, and there will be a new impetus for the development of civil society in the target countries. The project will help civil society and NGOs in Zimbabwe and South Africa make important steps towards becoming more effective in their work with young people and act as agents of positive change within their communities.
