The project addresses students aged 10-13 originating from five schools in five countries: BG,IT,PL,RO and TR. The project concentrates on the issue of social exclusion (as far as absence of basic skills is concerned). To achieve our aim of inclusion, we will implement in schools and during free time activities new strategies and methods of teaching using collaboration and inclusion. This project proposal addresses the specific needs of pupils from every partner school, on account of the four identified common problems which greatly influence the academic success of the students : a) the absence of social inclusion; b) the absence of basic skills; c) the absence of parental support; d) the absence of socio-economical means. All five schools have carried out the analysis of needs in their schools by analyzing teachers’ views and by administering basic surveys which assess the four setbacks.Prior to developing this project, we did some pre-work on the new strategies and in the end we designated five new ones to employ in our project. One of these methods will be used by every partner school in its school background and its results will be examined and assessed. These results will be also shared and analyzed by all the partners during their project meetings. After the two years’ implementation period, five new strategies will have been implemented and assessed. The participating schools will carry on applying these strategies and methods in their schools depending on the analysis and the rate of success. Our purpose is to develop new strategies for these particular schools so that they will increase their means of preventing school abandon through an international partnership based on collaboration and on the various good practices in each school. The project aims to identify methods to promote inclusion of disadvantaged students in community activities and on the labor market. The partner schools will put into use new links between formal, non formal and informal education to provide our students with solutions to fight against these four problems and to present them with real opportunities for their conduct.Objectives:1- to encourage the inclusion of excluded students, of students who are deprived of basic skills, of students who are at risk of abandoning school and of students with special needs by giving a helping hand in promoting their inclusion into mainstream education and into society.2- to implement new strategies to fight social exclusion, absence of basic skills and school leaving.3-to carry out new methods in regard to the social and emotional development of the child as a component of students with special educational needs ‘ practical curriculum.4-to put to the teachers’ disposal various methods of education and to exchange good practices.Number and profile of the participantsPupils/ teenagers: The project will focus on excluded students and as a consequence 180 students in total will actively participate in the project activities and about 1200 students/ teenagers will be indirectly affected.Educational staff/ Adults: 30 teachers in total, divided into teams of five, from very partner organization, will actively participate in the project, including: an English teacher, a Math teacher, a School Counselor, an ICT teacher and a Physical Education teacher/coach. About 150 other teachers/ adults will be indirectly affected.Administrative staff: The head teacher/ chairman and a deputy of each school will participate in the project and about 36 administrative staff will be indirectly affected. Families: 300 family members in total will participate in the project, will help the guest countries to familiarize themselves with the host country’s culture and traditions and will cook traditional food for an international evening.Local community: The local community will represent an important tool for disseminating the project to a larger community and it will involve the local press, the municipality, the PTAs, the directorate of National Education and so on.Outcomes and impact:All through the project the five partners aim to generate short-term and long-term tangible and intangible outcomes as well and to obtain the biggest possible effect on upcoming projects and on policy processes including: guiding students to surpass the absence of self-esteem, creating the project website to ensure non-stop access to general information about the project’s activities, development and outcomes, publishing newspaper reports and designing on-site panels and brochures to brief other people about the project’s general framework and its main outcomes, organizing a multiplier event, communicating, developing students at risk’ s cognitive skills and promoting effective partnerships between trainers, educators and community organizations.

BackgroundNowadays children live mostly in the imprisonment of their home and school walls. Several reasons have pushed children indoors, including technology, migration to cities and their development, demands on children’s time (homework, parental fear of strangers…). In these times of indoor children, personal connections with nature seem hard to attain, an aspect which is related to a decrease on the environment care on the part of future gener-ations. Increasing proofs demonstrate many benefits of nature on children’s physical and psychological well-being, such as reduction of stress, better physical health, more creativity and a better focus on their tasks. Furthermore, an increase of leisure time on greener areas might enable children to learn more successfully, improving their ability to concentrate in the classroom. Exploring creatively and self-experiences discovering nature seem to be the best way for children to learn about a lot of subjects, mainly Science, according to recent research. Taking into account these study results and based on our needs to find different activities which allow students to perform better in class, we have created this project aiming to get the desired results and sharing them with other schools from our areas and all around Europe. We have decided to make this initiative transnational with the purpose to observe how other pupils relate to na-ture, how other schools challenge the issue of children spending so much time on indoors activities. We want to share good practices and knowledges which will help in the improvement of all the involved schools. Our main aims are: 1. To improve the competence of teachers designing outdoors activities integrating them in a systematic practice.2. To enable teachers within the EU countries to cooperate and to produce common outputs that will be used by their schools as well as by other schools. 3. To promote nature as a learning setting. 4. To improve the acquisition of skills and competences by pupils. 5. To make parents aware of the importance of outdoor time. 6. To develop teachers and pupils’ critical thinking and intercultural competence. 7. To develop interpersonal skills among the participants. ParticipantsTeachers (5/country/LTTA) will attend transnational events to meet their partners from other countries. There, they will be able to check their methods comparing and contrasting realities of different educational systems, to participate in cultural events and to organized activities and then distribute the information locally. ActivitiesC1 – Learning outdoors – current trends in Europe (organized in TURKEY in Nov 2018)C2 – Nature activities and numeracy (GREECE in Feb 2019)C3 – Nature activities and literacy (POLAND in May 2019)C4 – Nature activities and science (MACEDONIA in Oct 2019)C5 – Nature activities and the exploration of the self through arts and crafts (SPAIN in Mar 2020)Results- Report related to activities in the nature developed at regular basis in schools, their main aims, purpose and methodology, the frequency of these actions (as discussed during LTTA1)- Assortment of activities to develop skills which can be performed outdoors (as presented during LTTA2)- Assortment of outdoor activities to develop Literacy (LTTA3)- Assortment of outdoor activities to study Sciences (LTTA4)- Assortment of outdoor activities to increase self-awareness, self-expression through arts and crafts (LTTA5)ImpactAs an outcome of the implementation, all participating schools will reinforce their association with the parents, students and teachers. There will be enhanced dialogue among the chain of schools and among schools’ students and teachers, on account of the immediate contribution of all classifications. This can only be of a great value and profit for the school over the long run. It is likewise believed that this partnership will provoke future joint efforts with parents, increased parents’ support and improved parents-school collaboration. By enhancing the synergy in the school, we will turn out to be more alluring to nearby schools and more students will wish to enlist in our school. The teachers will enhance their aptitudes, which implies that there will be a change in the nature and quality of teaching also, which brings about better school outcomes and results for the students. Similarly, students will turn out to be more roused, more motivated, they will appreciate the learning background more, find pleasure in the learning experience, another gain for the school.

The issue of underachievement in Mathematics competences in the EU countries, and the importance of entagrating ICT in daily education has become so important in recent years; which have been clearer in the Covid 19 pandemic time since many countries have to put restrictions on face to face education at schools. At the planning stage of the project, we focused on how to deal with the underachievement in learning some subjects at school, and we conducted a survey about the most challenging courses among the members of our schools. After having had the results that nearly 81% had difficulty in learning maths subjects;87% were very interested in ICT, and 93 % wanted to join in international projects, we decided to apply for this project in cooperation with Germany, Spain, Turkey, Slovakia and Poland. We aimed to make Maths authentic and easier to learn via using ICT tools, as a facilitator, and thus we created an App (e-learning tool) including basic mathematical subjects. We also organised LTT activities on the target mathematics subjects, and on the basic coding languages, which has beeen an amusing way for our students to participated in. The App, named E-Maths, has been publicated on Google Play Store-Apple Store for free which serves as bridge between the school subjects and the real life situations Objectives were: -to create an effective innovative teaching e-tool, test and implement it in the field of open education -to promote the acquisition of mathematical skills and key competences addressing the underachievement in Maths, and the raising demand for ICT specialists by labour markets. -to strengthen internationalisation in our schools, to build up our capacity for cross-border cooperation and the ability to cope with common socio-cognitive challenges -to offer international learning/exchanging experiences to our students and staff. -to improve our students’ vision to see the future in creating mobile softwares and in careering as well as to promote digital entrepreneurship -to support the professional development of educators especially in dealing with challenges in teaching Maths and use of ICT-based teaching methods -to contribute to the full development of human potential and to raise awareness of the importance of inter-cultural understanding -to foster inclusive education through enhancing the access, participation and learning performance of students with educational difficulties -to develop digital learning materials/tools (app, logo, posters, brochures, videos, pictures) Concrete Results created: -Emaths Apphttps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiloby.emathsproject&hl=en&gl=UShttps://apps.apple.com/tr/app/e-maths/id1449971229?l=en -Website -Twinspace -Logo -Calendars for 2019 and 2020 -Brochures -PPTs about coding languages -We organized 4 transnational LTT activities in which the students had a chance to experience learning maths subjects in different techniques applied as the best by the partner schools, and transformed the gained experience into the E-maths app which was also tested-implemented in real life stuations. The participants joined in workshops about some basic coding languages as well. - We established a website, a Twinspace and social media accounts thanks to which the project results have been promoted, evaluated and disseminated on all levels. -Many people from the partner schools were involved in the project activities, and a great number people have benefitted from the results of the project directly or indirectly. -The main methodology we followed was based on Authentic Learning, Problem Based Learning and ICT-based Learning, which was realistic and feasible in terms of learning maths in real world through ICT tools. Impact: -The participants had international learning experience of Maths and Coding within the normal activities of the host schools and real life situations, which promoted their acquisition of Mathematical and ICT competences/skills. They understood/increased appreciation of the importance of Maths and ICT, of their and other languages/cultures, which helped them acquire cognitive, social, civic and intercultural competences necessary for personal and professional development -Creation of the App stimulated their creativity and entrepreneurship, and thus they contributed to an open/innovative education embedded in the digital era we are in.They gained courage to overcome the obstacles/limitations in obtaining digital skills, and can apply the knowledge they gained from LTTs into many labour sectors in their future life -The performance of students with disadvantages were also enhanced via inclusive dimension of the activities. The E-Maths App, website and twinspace will live through being updated and enriched. We have also been making use of the other project results in our schools' curricula and learning goals.Because of the Covid 19 pandemic, two initially planned mobilities couldn't be held.

Context and rationaleYouth unemployment in Europe is arguably one of the most pressing socio-economic issues most member states have been grappling with in the last few years. There is growing evidence that without further action we risk a lost generation of young people, shut out of the labour market and increasingly disconnected from work and learning. Youth unemployment is now above 1 million; more than one in five young people who are in the job market are unemployed, giving an unemployment rate of 22%. Taking into account these people, the percentage of all young people who are unemployed is 14%, or about one in seven. This provides a rather accurate way of the chances of being unemployed. In the current economic climate, our project,Y2BE is designed to provide a significant contribution to young people’s skills and competences through formal and informal learning of an array of highly sought after skills, knowledge and know-how about the world of work, in an increasingly global job market. The objectives of our project are to help the students to discover and develop entrepreneurial skills, knowledge and know-how and to give them the chance to be part of the real business world. Thus they will be able to improve the local economy through creating new businesses in the near future after completing their formal education. Moreover students will benefit from improving their communication and linguistic skills and the specific entrepreneurial vocabulary, getting to know how to write a CV in the Europass format, develop their presentation skills, financial capabilities, develop a deeper understanding of aspects such as marketing and business networking. They will also have ample opportunities to develop their social and personal skills which will improve their confidence in expressing their own ideas and points of view in real life business scenarios.Number and profile of participants:The partnership has been established among eight schools, each school being represented by their their own Y2BE team of 35 to 60 students, adding up to a total of 312 students across the partnership, aged 13-18. In addition over 30 staff will also be directly involved in the planned activities. Description of activities:The activities have been carefully designed and selected to suit the needs of young people, by being both accessible and suitably challenging. These activities will enable the students involved to learn in a progressive way which will lead to the planned outcomes. We plan to give the students a great deal of ownership over their own learning, which will in turn forge and develop leadership skills and a let’s do attitude.Methodologies to be used in carrying out the project:There will be a variety of methods and methodologies used in order to reach our targets and outcomes such as:- Use of latest ICT technology and media tools and methods for a sharp, effective communication amongst partners (adults and young people) - The use of eTwinning platform and the project’s very own website- Transnational face-to-face meetings and events to manage and assess work progress and results through the project encouraging group work and peer reviews- Training sessions for teachers on how to be business enterprise coachesDescription of the results and intended impact:This project has a strong emphasis on the dissemination and long term impact of its outcomes and products. There is a clear plan of dissemination of the physical materials and results produced by the project including the business plan, the feedback criteria sheet, the DVD, the brochure, the films of the oral presentations, the summaries of the meetings, the Website of the project and the feedback of the business people. Students and staff involved will impart information on local schools about the results of the project through seminars or round tables/conferences, articles written by teachers and students and published in the school newspapers, in magazines for teachers as well as in business magazines; as well as mass media, local authorities, headteachers, teachers and students invited to the international meetings.Potential longer term benefits:The activities and the results of our project are planned to be maintained after the end of the EU funding by including them as a part of our schools curricula so that we will be able now and also in the future to promote basic entrepreneurship skills among our scholars to develop employability, initiative and new business creation, develop career guidance and advice in schools, foster the use of ICT among the students in order to increase their level of digital competence, reinforce links between education and the world of work, increase our students’ academic profile suitable for a demanding and competitive labour market, promote cooperation among our schools and potential employers, local authorities and increase competence in foreign languages.
