This situation has led us to the world’s general attitude towards protecting the health of our planet. We are convinced that we need to take responsibility for the damage we’ve already caused and we have to try very hard to do everything we can to change it for the better. Schools from Germany, Lithuania, Portugal, Poland, Greece and Spain have decided to create a project dedicated to the environmental protection. Each country is struggling with its own specific problems in this field, but also with a global one - the climate change, which it is the alarming result of human behaviour towards nature. With our project we would like to use our power of education to build a positive attitude and relationship with the natural environment. We want to work on reducing the use of plastics as much as possible, on saving electricity at schools and homes, on improving the sustainability, protecting the plants and animals. During the meeting on Crete / Greece the focus will be on marine life and its wildlife in danger. The main objective of the project is to encourage pupils, their families and teachers to take part and be active in the process of environmental protection. We believe that even our small steps which we do throughout the project duration, such as waste separation and recycling, planting trees and greenery, learning about endangered insects and animal species or eliminating bad habits in our environmental behaviour, will lead us towards a better and greener future surrounded by the real natural world. We want our students to also develop their knowledge in foreign language skills, increase their accountability and in general make language learning an interesting task. This project will improve the communicative skills of our pupils. For this purpose, it intends to implement this project in 6 partner countries. One of the primal products is the creation of environmental posters devoted to the alarming effects of human behaviour on the environment caused by non-ecological behaviour. Through creating the educational posters pupils will learn the importance of the nature around us. Our planning includes specific activities as planting trees, saving electric energy at our schools, making our schoolyards clean and nice, building insect hotels and protecting endangered insects and animals in the area. The involvement of pupils in the subject, through experimental learning, is a way to remember the information they have learned. Pupils learn better by the method of experimental learning. Through their own work they can better understand the necessities of recycling, the impact of humans on the environment and its protection. The target groups of our project are pupils from13 to 15 years. As the primary goal of our project is to teach students to start meaningful environmental activities, they will develop a deeper understanding of environmental issues which is very important for the future of our planet. In each project school teachers will work together in groups with pupils who don´t take the healthy environment for granted and would like to learn about the environment and take steps to improve their closest community. Pupils will learn to behave organically by the method -” learning by doing”. At each project school groups of detectives will be formed. Their task will be looking for and finding bad habits in the behaviour of pupils towards the environment. Their mission will be the elimination of the shortcomings in the following six areas - water consumption, waste separation, energy consumption, transport and air pollution, school greenery and the protection of plants and animals and pupils´ diet. The teams will propose solutions how to behave organically and how to improve the situation at school, by informing their classmates. All this can be done slowly by engaging students in real-world learning, which our project is offering. Partner countries will share the project topics and draw up a review questionnaire which the future detectives will use in detecting school environmental deficiencies. Consequently, the results of the findings will be compared and the best school will teach its partners how to behave environmentally friendly. It will be done through the webinars on the eTwinning platform. We consider that this project will help all the participants to change their attitudes towards the environment in a positive way. Students and teachers will also get new ideas from different cultures. The ideas of the project will be implemented into as many school subjects as possible.

The project focuses on the interests and abilities of students and ensured that students would be adhered to the school and continue their education and training life. The project offered a unique opportunity for participants to gain a deep understanding and knowledge of the cultural and linguistic diversity of the European community with the fact that the students come from a wide range of social and geographical backgrounds. During the implementation of the project, we fostered equity and inclusion in education, training, enabled learning quality for all as well to prevent drop-out and to promote the participation of disadvantaged groups in society, which is a really important and urgent issue nowadays. The responsibility of a school community was not to leave such pupils aside, but persuaded them to participate in school's life, integrated them into different activities, motivated them to learn foreign languages, travelled and discovered the other way of life. So we facilitated the transition of learners through different types of formal/non-formal education, modernization and reinforced education and training to respond to the main challenges of today's world. The project objectives were implemented in our project by organizing sustainable project activities, sharing the experience and promoting new ways of teaching and learning in non-traditional learning environments. So, during project activities, using a wide variety of multimedia tools for both communication, as well as designing a website to support the project results, created a meaningful context for developing communication skills with people in foreign countries. (Strengthen Online Safety for Students) is a project that has been conceived from the need to empower the students (Ss) with the necessary skills as to acknowledge and learn to avoid the online risks they may face when browsing the Internet, in an ever-changing world where technology has taken over most of our lives. Given the fact that statistics at European level show that the use of Internet among children and teenagers has dramatically increased over the past few years and that there is not enough focus on online safety taught at school, we consider that this project allows the Ss to acquire the necessary skills to cope with this world. The main objective of our project is to improve our Ss’ ability to use the internet safely, over the 24 months of the project, by focusing and learning about the risks they could face, such as cyber bullying, fake news, data privacy, harmful content and sexting and grooming. Our general objectives are to encourage exchange of good practices and promote international cooperation among schools.S.O.S. will involve 6 partners from Spain, Portugal, Finland, Poland, Croatia and Romania. The project targets a large audience, the whole school community (family, Ss, Teachers(Ts), other school staff and local organizations), although the main beneficiaries are the Ss aged 10 to 15. There will be 137 Ss and 60 Ts involved in the actual exchange visits, but a more considerable number from all partner schools will actively participate in the project. The activities carried out during the project will follow the project management plan, focusing on aspects such as quality, monitoring, dissemination and risk management. Thus, each school will have team members responsible with the smooth operation of each aspect mentioned above. The main activities are:1. A free online course for Ts involved in the project, so as to get a better understanding of the key concepts connected to the topic and to be able to guide the Ss during the activities, towards achieving the expected results and to give them advice and counselling if necessary.2. Six short-term pupils exchanges, each of which will deal with a specific topic, all of them labeled as major risks online:-Cyber Bullying: Let’s Stop it!-Fake News: How to spot it?-Online data privacy risks: the more we know the safer !!!-Exposure to harmful content: 10 tips to be aware of ...-Sexting and Grooming: let's fight them together!-Let’s S.O.S !!! Final activityBefore each activity, there will be preparations, which will cover the methodology to be discussed, the cultural aspects and after the activities, dissemination will be made in each participant school and community. The project will combine physical mobility with virtual meetings, allowing cooperation and exchange of good practice for the transnational teams of Ss and Ts. eTwinning will be the linking instrument in the project, as every activity, from planning, to implementing and disseminating is planned to be carried out on the platform. The Ss’ involvement in the process of planning, discussing, establishing, deciding and implementing will raise their motivation in being activelearners, improve their communication and social skills and help them understand the importance of well being in the online world. The results of the project will be:-""Take a stand against cyber bullying"" campaign/ ""Block and Report"" campaign against harmful content of any kind/ ""Think before you Post"" campaign-Short films/play on cyber bullying-""Fake or Real news"" workshop-Video conference on data privacy and phishing-""Media Smart"" brochure/ ""Be your own Master Online"" leaflet-""How to avoid exposure to harmful content"" presentation-""DO's and DON'TS of the online world"" booklet-""Our European Calendar of being safe online""-""The ABC of Online Safety"": dictionary of the online terms in 6 languagesDissemination of the results will be made via various methods, such as: presentations and workshops at institutional and local level, articles, posts on educational platforms and in the written press, project page/blog, eTwinning portal, Facebook. The project will have a widespread impact in the community, which will ensure its sustainability. Thus, Ss will raise awareness on and try avoiding the dangers online, boost their motivation, improve self-confidence and school performance, increase social skills and language competence. The parents will understand the risks that their children might be exposed to and prevent negative situations through careful supervision of their children's time online. The Ts will improve linguistic and technology skills, become acquainted with different educational systems and approach of various topics. The schools involved will increase reputation and visibility in the community, strengthen local partnerships, develop European dimension, establish long-term partnerships with European schools."
