The Improving Migrant Childrens' Academic Performance, or IMCAP, project aims to bridge the gap between immigrant parents of school age children and their teachers. As per an OECD study conducted in 2015, academic underperformance is common to most students with an immigrant background, but particularly first-generation immigrant students. Students with an immigrant background face multiple sources of disadvantage that affect their academic performance and their general well-being. IMCAP thus focuses on improving the academic performance of an immigrant student. It involves 4 Partners in 4 European Countries who will bring their expertise together to create a platform to tackle the education gap and mismatches by strengthening the profiles of educators and teaching professionals. In this context, the objectives of the project are as follows:- To prepare teachers of school age children to work in a culturally diverse classroom and actively engage parents of different backgrounds in the education process- To enable immigrant parents to engage more in the school system of the host country- To create a set of tools that will facilitate the academic success of children of immigrant parents through the adults around themIMCAP’s goal is to narrow the educational achievement gap between immigrant and non-immigrant peer. This will occur by targeting key stakeholders and assisting them with tools; a cultural handbook, a capacity-building booklet and an online networking platform. In a longer-term, the project will facilitate equal participation in society both economically and socially.

"The ""Communication Inclision"" (COM-IN) project will be implemented by 5 organizations from Poland, France, Spain, Slovenia and Slovakia. The aim of this project is to prepare tools for educators and creators of educational programs from countries of the project participants who are able to deal with the activation and education of people over 60 in an attractive and effective way. The basis of COM-IN is diagnosis that the most important reason for excluding older people is insufficient communication skills understood very broadly. It is not just about individual assertiveness or communication with peers and the younger generation. This category also includes difficulties in understanding media and official communications and documents, lack of ability to reach the information needed and assess its credibility, lack of digital skills (Internet, e-mail, instant messaging, online shopping, booking ticket or a visit to a doctor, digital banking, electronic office, etc.). Communication skills also include: ability to use foreign languages and formulate messages tailored to the needs of modern recipient, as well as ability to present their opinions in a public forum. Communication exclusion drastically limits the social and civic activity of seniors. The COM-IN project is a continuation and development of ""Silver Civic Education"" project implemented in 2017-19 under the Erasmus + KA204 program with partners from Portugal and Bulgaria. It was based on educational model used by the SSP in working with seniors. During implementation of this project, some disadvantages of our model were revealed that may significantly impede its dissemination. The main disadvantage is excessive focus on journalistic creativity and creating a medium. The disadvantage is, among others too much focus on creating the medium and creativity of journalism. Such an ""ambitious"" approach also excluded people with lower education and qualifications from education, as well as those who do not use written language efficiently (eg immigrants). Meanwhile, journalism is a great communication education tool and a means of making workshops more attractive. However, it is not an end in itself. The essence of our method is to build a team, to find a place for everyone and - in an attractive form - enable them to acquire knowledge and skills. Meetings of the editorial team should be used to conduct workshops to improve participants' skills. Medium (website or profile on FB) plays an auxiliary role. In addition, a strong media orientation requires educators to have great journalistic skills and experience, which greatly limits the number of potential trainers. The main goal of COM-IN is to improve our educational model so that it becomes more universal and available in different countries and environments. The result of this cooperation will be development of educational materials suitable for practical use in various countries and languages. Project partners will implement innovative methods that increase the attractiveness and efficiency of their educational offer. The project also contains intellectual work result - a guidebook ""Journalism for seniors. An educator's manual"" containing recommendations, methods and training tools useful in working with seniors as well as other adult age groups."

Low skilled and educated adults participate in lifelong learning less than other groups of adults. This is an important issue for most of the European Countries. Many countries have recently worked out plans and activities to get low skilled adults back to schools to end their undergraduate level. The raise of importance of lifelong learning changes the roles of compulsory education organizations (adult gymnasium, vocational institutions etc), universities. The project main objective is to encourage teachers in schools to raise the efficiency of learning processes by adapting their teaching approaches to adult learner centered. For that we support them with adequate methodological tools and develop their skills (pilot courses) through the developed curriculum by using these tools. In this project we concentrate on the adult training efficiency by creating a strong learning community between participating organisations (partners) for sharing and analyzing the best practices and working for the main objective.During this project there will be three short term joint staff training events taking place (in Estonia, Latvia, Slovakia) where will be 15 participants in each event (including local teachers), nine pilot courses will be carried out (in Estonia, Latvia, Slovakia) where will be about 100 teachers participating and giving feedback to the methodological tool and curriculum worked out and a multiplier event (seminar) where will be about 50 participants (teachers from participating countries). Project team will organise 5 transnational meetings and will set up regular project meetings through SKYPE. Impact of the project at local and regional level is that teachers participate in professional training program that gives them real skills and toolbox to help them to update their view to the training process efficiency. Participating teachers will be more motivated, methodologically prepared and open minded to adults in their training groups. This project will be carried out based on co-creation frameworks that means that end users will be included in the project activities through the all stages and it helps to cover the real needs of target group. In national level that kind of approach to development of curriculums is innovative and will be shared as suggested practice to adapt changes in education field. The project will gather together the private sector knowledge and skills and will realize it for the raise of adult learning participation in compulsory education. Desired impact of this project in common sense (national and international level) would be the acknowledgement of the needs that approaches to teachers role and attitudes (in methodological and target group level) has to change rapidly and fast as the profile of students is changing (more adult learners).
