The common feature of the participating schools was that we provide education to future technicians and engineers for electronics and IT companies. The idea of the project arose from the need to develop new tools and materials for teaching mathematics and science using the interests and skills of our students. The main goal of the project was to improve students' mathematical competence, increase their motivation to learn, encourage to further education and prepare them to enter the labour market. During the project, we aimed to build a correlation between mathematics and vocational subjects, use students' electronic and IT knowledge and passion, and provide them with access to various forms of learning and development. The students had the opportunity to participate in many workshops, took part in extracurricular classes, taught each other in a new multicultural environment, acquired new social skills and developed their language skills. The project evaluation results clearly show that the project aims have been fully achieved. The students, aged 15-19, were involved in all project activities, willingly shared their experience with peers in cooperating schools, suggested interesting initiatives and implemented them in a very professional manner. Various presentations, infographics, interesting Padlets and brochures were created. The students have become more open to other cultures, learned about their peers' problems in other countries and together got rid of cultural stereotypes. Each school hosted one short-term exchange groups of students and in total students took part in 64 mobilities. Not only were the traveling to another country and staying in an unknown family a challenge but also hosting a peer from abroad at home. Each participating student had the opportunity to learn about the traditions and culture of another country as well as to show their home city and daily life. There was time for discussions about the future of the common Europe, about the challenges facing them in adult life and for talking about future plans. Undoubtedly, the young people have become more conscious citizens of the European community and ambassadors of EU ideas. The precondition for implementing successfully the project was to train the teaching staff so that they could use the new teaching methods. In each project group, there were at least two mathematics teachers as well as science and vocational teachers. There were three short-term joint staff training events and three international transnational project meetings. All short employee trainings supported the professional development of teachers and allowed to prepare high-level teaching materials that can be used for several years in teaching mathematics, science and vocational subjects.Brochures and a mini-compendium have been created for math teachers. Together, we have developed lesson plans using modern technology and Geogebra applets that can be used and adapted freely. In addition, we've prepared math games and quizzes together. We creatively cooperated and everyone tried to to put into the work as much effort as possible in order to accomplish the project objectives. The mathematics teachers could look at their subject with the eyes of electronics and IT teachers. All materials have been collected and described in the form of an e-book, which will be available not only to our five schools but also to all interested parties. Together, using different channels and tools, we will try to make them known to as many teachers as possible across Europe. In our opinion, this project is a huge success and we want to share its deliverables.Teachers, as well as students, developed their digital skills, learned how to work in an international environment, and improved their language competences. Together, we have created a group of people who want to continue to develop and work on improving the quality of education in our schools. We have gained the experience that makes us even more open to new challenges and opportunities. During the implementation of the project and immediately after its completion, some teachers took up new challenges in which they will use the skills acquired in the ""New Paths in Math"" project. We are implementing new Erasmus + projects and pedagogical innovations in our schools and use the acquired knowledge and skills in everyday work with young people."

This plan (EU Commission, 2018) is the focal point of e-learning and intends to support technology-use and digital competence in education. In light of the ""COVID-19"" emergency, many ""traditional"" teachers have discovered and started using distance learning. However, EU countries show a different situation in the development of the e-learning system in adult education. In fact, On the base of Eurydice’s report (2015) the percentage of adults (25 - 64 years old) who participated in distance learning (formal or informal), on EU average rate of 2.2%, were: 1.5% (-0,7) in Bulgaria, 4.9% (+2,7) in Spain, 1,5% (-0,7) in Italy and 0.7% (-1,5) in Romania (Eurostat data). In Spain, the relatively high participation rate seems to reflect the efforts made by the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports (MECD). They have several complete distance learning programs funded with public funds. While the registered data are negative in Bulgaria, Italy and Romania, even if different large-scale programs and private initiatives promoting e-learning training for adult education are active. Nevertheless, neither the teachers nor students are prepared and equipped to produce effectively a teaching and learning process engaging the adults, who are, in most cases, immigrants. In this context, the needs revealed are the following:- Improving teachers’ skills in the use of e-learning modality by identifying new environments and curricula for training, technical and organizational changes.- Identifying an effective pedagogical approach to overcome the issue related to low competences in ICT of adult learners. Most adults are ""digital immigrants"" (Prensy 2001) in that who weren't born with current technology and the language of computers is not their native dialect. - Defining an effective evaluation and assessment system in distance learning which requires increasing flexibility, in terms of modular programs and qualifications within the adult education system. Thus, the project aims at:- Defining a common framework for the identification of teaching and learning approach which can promote and implement effectively the integration of new technologies in adult education by encouraging the use of modern concepts in education and a healthy working environment and teamwork, creating developing programs attractive to adults, allowing them continuous shaping throughout their lives.- Reinforcing the assessment and evaluation system in distance learning through the pedagogical tools and techniques which can improve the teaching and learning flexibility.- Designing open education resources aiming to define the technical skills for the didactic use through main devices, exploiting the principles of ""BYOD"" (""Bring Your Device""); the methodological skills for teaching approaches; for effective integration of the Apps into teaching activity; the skills for managing, producing and distributing digital content.- Utilizing the attractiveness of technology to improve social inclusion focused, mainly, on language skills improvement and responsible use of technology in terms of safety and ethical rules. - Improving the collaborative sense among teachers and schools through the exchanging of experience, good practices to enhance the use of technology in adult school.Target group: Adult school teachers/educators and students. The main results will be as follows:- Framework to integrate new technologies in adult education through project-based learning- Promoting digital skills for classes 2.0 development in adult education- Outputs and recommendations for classes 2.0 implementation in adult educationShort- term impact:- Providing teachers with needed skills to reinforce the teaching and learning process in the distance learning implementation to improve the quality of teaching.- Integrating the designed curriculum into participating schools to increase the quality and competitiveness of their educational offers.- Improving digital literacy of students and their awareness in the use of technology in learning to reinforce and support a major social inclusion.Long-term impact:- Guaranteeing a high quality and competitiveness of the educational system implemented in the adults’ school thanks to the modernization of didactic teaching and learning approaches and the improved staff skills involved.- Supporting transnational cooperation among adult schools to ensure a continuous exchange of good practices and permanent collaboration"

For many people these rapid changes occuring in our daily life have a disruptive effect. 6 schools of six different European countries with experiences decided to set up project with their students aged between 15 and 19. More than 60 young people enrolled in general and vocational education will be involved in this project, English being the communication language. The aim of the project is to help our young students to understand better Europe of tomorrow and how to act in it. “6! YES” (6 innovations: Young European Search) consists in searching six promising innovations by taking into account 6 important themes of our society (Early childhood, Communication, Tourism and cultural heritage, Disability, Environmental protection and New technologies). The project is scheduled between September 2018 and August 2020 and our students are asked to do researches, to imagine what the themes would be like in 2050, to develop innovations coming from their environments, to highlight them with the help of an audio-visual report, a book, an online research notebook and to make a presentation to the European Commission at the Parliament. The 6 teams decided to be accompanied by a group of voluntary European deputies. There are three main objectives: 1) Conducting a research and sharing results with other countries: Looking for innovations in 3 sectors out of 6 :Early childhood , Communication, Tourism and Cultural heritage, Disability, Environment, New technologies, being part of their setting up and communicating in English to highlight them with new technologies. Realise an intellectual work with the participation of students and pedagogical teams. 2) Developping professional competences for our students and adults team : work in a team, speak in front of a group, build schedules, create communication materials in English. 3) Knowing each other better to build a common European future respecting our cultural differences and heritage by communicating in English. These ambitious objectives have been set by several but complementary educative teams originally from general and professional high schools. The success will be reached if we handle to communicate, organize ourselves and assess our final work. The common realisation of this file is an encouraging first step. We decided to be so numerous (6 high schools from 6 different countries) because we feel it is important to take a census of ideas, experiences and achievements from a representative sample of European diversity. We really hope that they will find in the course of the project and the common actions the motivation to improve their skills within their work teams. It will help them to get a personal experience and to open them a door to their future professional life and turn them into responsible and undertaking adults. In this sense, the partners and their teams will diversify their activities and strengthen their educational missions. In their near environment and beyond their attachment to the European construction, to the participation in the local life and the education of young people is positive and meaningful. It is therefore clear that our project “6! YES” helps to raise a general awareness of European citizenship among all these who participate in the project.

In each school participating in the project there are similar problems: discouraged pupils and the lack of motivation towards learning, a deficit of methods which can help to raise the results of studies. The project will show the students' possibilities of changing their surroundings and give possibility to use and expand knowledge, and, above all, the key skills so important in the further education and the labor market. Without an international co-operation in changing the minds of young Europeans concerning respect to the world which surrounds us, such a change on a broad scale is not possible. This all brings us closer to achieving the objectives of the Europe 2020 strategy. Our project aims to develop digital skills, to promote European values, enhance intercultural understanding and a sense of belonging to the European community, to develop creativity, to promote intercultural dialogue, to foster critical thinking and research, to encourage communication in a foreign language, to promote innovative methods or tools for teaching, training, learning and assessment. In the project there are six schools involved from different parts of Europe.30 teachers and 300 students will participate in the activities planned to take place throughout the project.. But the range of activities and the scope of the project's impact will be much greater (about 5000 people) because the results of our work will be disseminated in the local environment and placed in the media. It will include the groups such as the local community, policy makers, people involved in teaching, organisations for environmental protection. The project assumes a lot of various actions aiming at the fulfilling of purposes and at achieving the planned results: the activities for learning and teaching, local actions connected with the project, popularizing its results and designing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting actions. The methodology will be for staff and students (individually and small groups, in the workshop and during the formal and informal classes) to follow the research, analyze, design, create , test, evaluate, review, improve, cycle (common to technology teaching). They will use ICT tools and technical skills. All the teaching and training activities will be in English language, and they will be done in international groups, so that our students can practice the language, improve their level and cooperate and collaborate with their partners, being aware of a social, linguistic and cultural diversity. The results of the project will contain material results (the lessons scenarios, the project website, posters, brochures, newsletters, Facebook, Etwinning, Youtube accounts and abilities and personal achievements gained by the organizers of the project and its participants (e.g. the increase in basic skills and new competences of the students, their faith in their abilities and motivation for action to protect the environment, to respect the others, to promote European cultural heritage). The expected result will be to increase the competence of our institutions regarding project management and risk handling. The project will have positive and long-lasting results in a personal and professional development of all participants and it will have influence at the local, regional, national and international levels. The schools will introduce some elements of creativity, innovation in school programs through the implementation of project activities. The cooperation of teachers with students and their parents will create the atmosphere which will bring benefits during the whole learning process. The innovativeness of applied teaching methods, the use of information and communication technologies and international cooperation will contribute to the increase of motivation of the students for studying and getting to know the world better. The transnational cooperation will give the improvement of quality and the internationalization of the partner schools. By publishing the results in Internet and cooperating with various media and educational institutions will increase the interest of the international community in the theme of the project."
