While UVs are highly specialized systems manufactured by different providers, they all implement the CHAMELEON specifications, enabling all common features necessary to take part in the surveillance tasks foreseen by the use cases. As such, CHAMELEON aspires to exploit already well-established technologies and tools that have reach adequate maturity, towards offering a complex interoperable and reconfigurable system capable of supporting a wide set of heterogeneous missions in diverse environmental conditions. CHAMELEON innovation lies on a novel reconfigurable drone, the CHAMELEON drone, able to modify its configuration and sizing upon demand, which can be deployed in homogenous or heterogeneous groups to support complex scenarios, as well as a set of existing heterogeneous, modular, interoperable, networked UVs systems. CHAMELEON Drones will be able to adapt its operation from a number of available services or application through CHAMELEON App-store. CHAMELEON will organize two open calls to attract and select the best SMEs from across the continent. SMEs will be funded to generate AI supported products, processes, and business models with strong market potential across the proposed clusters. Besides a total financial support of ~€600.000, CHAMELEON will provide technical and business mentorship to the selected SMEs. Open Calls will also lead towards the industrial applicability of the proposed tools and services without EC funding: it is envisioned that an estimated of 10 applications will be submitted through CHAMELEON and will be enriched with AI components. The CHAMELEON solution will be demonstrated and validated under relevant operating conditions in 3 pilot sites in 3 European countries.

The project aims at developing a peer-to-peer online platform for SECAP development that can be used for multiple public authorities in joint planning and implementation. This will enable the integration of different administrative levels and geographical planning areas as well as enhance the cost efficiency in the entire planning and implementation process based on economic of scale and closer cooperation and exchange. In addition regional PentaHelix Task forces will be established, involving key stakeholder and target groups, that will serve as a driver for a wider scope of the SECAPs as well as bringing in valuable insights and identification of potential measures, system solutions and a better understanding of drivers and barriers for a more sustainable society as a whole, in each specific region. This PentaHelix approach will be developed and tested in 8 pilot municipalities in Norway, Croatia, Belgium, Spain and Latvia. Each region is unique in terms of demography, economy, urban development, climate conditions and industrial/ businesss structure. Together these pilot areas consititutes a large number of inhabitants and potential mitigation of CO2 and energy savings. To further enhance the impact of the project a broad replication and dissemination strategy and actions will be rolled out in many countries in the EU. This will be mainly carried out towards neighboring regions as well as the network of ERRIN with it's many member organisations. Targeted dissemination actions will be implemented. 11 partners from 5 countries will do this during 43 months.

For the prevention and preparedness TREEADS propose the use of a real-time risk evaluation tool that can receive multiple classification inputs and work with a new proposed neural network-powered Risk factor indicator. To create a model of Fire adapted communities (FAC) in parallel to insurance incentives, TREEADS will use alkali activated construction materials (AAM) integrating post-wildfires wood ashes (PWA) for fire-resilient buildings and infrastructure. TREEADS also uses a variety of technological solutions such as the Copernicus infrastructure, and a swarm of small drones customized for accurate forest supervision. In the area of Detection TREEADS propose a variety of toolsets that will accommodate most needs. Stemming from Virtual reality for the training, wearables for the protective equipment of the emergency responders. to UAV (drones), UAG and airships for improving capacity in temporal and spatial analysis as well as to increase the inspected area coverage. Last, TREEADS will build a new land and field-based restoration initiative that will use all modern techniques such as agroforestry, drones for seed spread, Internet of things sensors that will be able to adapt the seeding process based on the ground needs and on the same time with the help of AI to determine post-fire risks factors. TREEADS solution will be demonstrated and validated under real operating conditions. Demonstration will involve Eight complex pilot implementations executed in seven EU countries and in Taiwan.

This is achieved by optimising the light transmission of PV panels through cutting edge nanoparticles spraying on the PV glass surface. PV4Plants system is specifically designed to meet healthy harvesting and to be adaptable to different climatic conditions and crop varieties that will be demonstrated in 3 highly replicable demo sites in Turkey, Spain and Denmark. PV4Plants optimises the system parameters (panels tilt, irrigation level, amount of fertilisers, etc) based on a multi-indicator real-time monitoring system that allows a continuous improvement of the microclimate underneath the agriPV panels to increase crop health and yield. Recyclability and reutilization of components and materials both for the manufacturing and End of Life of the PV4Plants system are central aspects of the project. The PV4Plants system will be certificated through the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), compliance with ISO 14021 and the Sustainability Excellence Label by UNEF. Finally, PV4Plants will boost its market penetration and uptake through innovative farmers' engagement strategies to enhance their acceptance and trust in innovative agriPV systems; new financing schemes and business models to improve investment performance and through a set of policy recommendations that will be developed together with public authorities to create new mechanism designed to accelerate the uptake of agriPV systems in Europe.

Climate-resilient investments must be substantially scaled up. Public budgets will not be able to address the adaptation financing challenge alone, financing from the private sector will also be necessary. CLIMATEFIT contributes to bridging the resilience financing gap by providing critical insight and building the capacities of Public Authorities (PAs) to attract and orchestrate various public and private funding & financing sources, and of Financing and Investment Entities (FIEs) to discover and access resilient investment opportunities. CLIMATEFIT will experiment on a mix of 20 territories in Southern, Eastern and Northwestern Europe in their transformational pathways towards climate resilience. The journey will start by taking stock of funding & financing barriers and enablers gathered in the Financing Landscape taxonomy. CLIMATEFIT will create an ingenious Manual for leveraging finance to, 1) co-design 20 innovative investment strategies allowing to identify sources of funding 2) develop 10 credible and scalable investment plans to help better negotiate and articulate financing streams and define investment concepts, and 3) pilot 4 bankable, tailored investment cases. CLIMATEFIT will build a Pathway for FIEs to accelerate finance, test refined methods to reward climate-resilient investment and apply smart adaptation funding and financing solutions. It will establish Local Resilience Taskforces (LRTs) composed of PAs and FIEs that propose a catalytic and systemic approach to resilience financing. Led by WCF, the high-level consortium will build capacity, co-create solutions with PAs and FIEs, and inform EU adaptation and sustainable finance policies. Finally, CLIMATEFIT aims to boost resilience financing in Europe by consolidating the dynamics in LRTs, and to promote and scale its research findings through the European Network of LRTs and its user-oriented One-Stop Shop.
