"The school project based on the exchange of best practices „Ecology, Culture, Options for Creative Learning and Active Life”, acronym ECO4CreActive, is a strategic partnership between 5 schools from Romania, Portugal, Turkey and Bulgaria, which will start on 1.03.2021 and will run for 24 months. The goal of the project is to increase the degree of responsibility towards the environment, to develop the skills and competences of students with creative methods and to educate participants to deeply understand their own culture and sense of national identity as a basis of respect and open attitude towards the diversity of cultural expression. The aim of the project will be achieved through these specific objectives: 1. increasing the responsibility of students for the environment through ecological actions for the benefit of the school and the local community2.developing creative and practic ablilities and ICT skills for 12-15 years3.involvement in the project activities of 30% disadvantaged students to increase the level of inclusion in school 4.increasing intercultural communication and interest in foreign languages during the projectWe are motivated and we want to help educate students to become socially competent adults, active in society. We all live the same concret reality, this we have in common, but it is a reality that everyone perceives differently, that differentiates us, for example perception towards nature and the environment. Man's role on Earth is not to consume all the resources of the planet and to destroy what he has not consumed, but to leave his children a better world than he has received. What is clear is that nature has never left the conversation with us, but we have so far dominated this relationship, man-nature. It is time to restore our priorities, to pay attention to nature because nature is a source of health and joy. Our children are the future of the planet! In a world that will be inherited by our children, it would seem that the best way to ensure a better, healthier planet is to equip today’s youth with the knowledge and skills to meet tomorrow’s environmental challenges. In an increasingly globalized world, we all need a wide range of skills to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing environment. The activities are addressed to the students between the ages of 12 and 15. Participating groups are: 1.Students: 80 will participate directly, including 30 students with fewer opportunities. Approximately 500 students will be indirectly affected by participating in local activities. 2.Teachers: 50 will participate directly 3.Families: At least 100 families will be directly involved., more than 300 family members will be indirectly involved. 4. Others: social organizations, NGOs and cultural organizations, local community, eTwinning is part of the most exciting learning community in Europe. At European level, will be used eTwinning platform, This platform will help us to collaborate with our European partners, and School Education Gateway platform to dissemination. I planned 5 LTT within 24 months, with the titles: C1-The amazing NATURE, C2-Natural eco-systems and Biodiversity, C3-RE-THINK! From STEM to STEAM. C4-Increasing the quality of life for the FUTURE and C5- ARTH is crying! The work plan proposes activities for marking ecological events of European and international interest, but also other activities for environmental protection and conservation and for social inclusion. Also, during LTT, we will capitalize cultural heritage. Concrete results: logo, project website, bilingual cultural guide “The world is beautiful”, interactive photo album ""Natural eco-systems and protected species"", a magazine “Green Barometer”, Eco calendar, Eco anthem, ECO4ALL Decalogue, set cards “Green World”, mini book of ecology, Eco Park in the perimeter of each school, DVD International conference ""Culture and Identity across borders"", ECO-CULTURAL radio station in each partner school. The concrete results of the project are sustainable because they can be used in school education, in extracurricular activities, socially, civic and volunteering activity, for keeping the project alive. The project has achieved its objectives if have we improved for participants their social, cultural and professional life.Experiences of participants should be established as good practice and be integrated by the persons / institutions who have common interests as an important indicator of the quality of school work. The schools will succeed to develop and strengthen the relationships between them, to develop their ability to operate at the transnational level, to share and confront ideas, practices and methods of ecological and cultural education, for increasing the qualit to life. Our project encourages proactive, procivic and prosocial behavior of participants. The students will raise awareness of the need to increase basic skills, will develop their language competences and digital skills."

"The project team comprises of both teachers and students from Bulgaria, Croatia, Poland, Romania and Turkey. Our common denominator is our mutual concern about the drastic changes in the natural environment, the challenges the world is currently facing, the unimaginable scope of degradation and deprivation of the environment and its extended effects on human welfare and all other life on Earth. Worried about the current state of nature and having carried out a comprehensive analysis, we have identified our target group needs and have decided to collaborate on a European level towards teaching students to explore their ecological and nature knowledge and striving to find effective solution to combat the unsettling legacy. The project „What’s up Mr Bug?- Insects As the Wonder of Ecosystem” is a cross-curricular project which aims at developing students’ key competences, STEAM and ICT skills and motivating students to take sustainable ecological actions for the future generations and themselves. This project promotes the development of skills and key competences through innovative practices based on collaboration and holistic approaches to teaching and learning, such as learning by doing, peer-learning, out-door activities and team cooperation. The active learning in STEAM subjects leads to a substantial boost in creativity, innovation and imagination. Moreover, by participating in STEAM activities, students are more prepared for the challenges they may face in their future jobs and careers. Engagement in the cross-curricular and interdisciplinary projects enables the students to think outside the box and to make connections between different disciplines. Another objectives include developing in-depth knowledge and understanding for other European cultures, improving communicative skills in a foreign language. An integral part of the project is constituted by promoting the integration of students with disabilities ,special needs and different cultural background (gender, religion, ethnic origins). The project also aims at taking advantage of an eTwinning portal optimally by means of conducting more online projects, participating in numerous seminars, conferences and webinars. It is worth pointing out that most of our schools are already experienced to a varying degree in the field of environmental issues and both wish to share their know-how and experience with others and aim at fostering them in their curriculum. We intend to implement innovative approaches to meet the educational purposes outlined in the project’s goals. They include venturing to out-of-school (eg. forest ecosystems) and out-of-class (eg. school horticulture) environments to teach basic concepts about environment and ecology. These areas can be thought of as open-air laboratories to show students the relationship between the natural cycles. We plan to hold workshops and organize field trips in natural areas in order to ensure that students develop both cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills. The education processes taking place out in the open enrich the students with an interdisciplinary perspective by bringing together different disciplines (biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, geography, history) and enabling to use different sensory organs in relation to a particular discipline. The project is about to promote the non-school natural areas considered as a part of teaching curriculum ,and both teachers and students will be encouraged to participate in such activities. Furthermore, the project assumes that students will prepare plentiful educational materials including songs, films, presentation and stories pertaining to the topics. They will also make use of numerous ICT tools including eTwinning portal tools,Kahoot, Ouizziz quizzes, models of living creatures, padlets, e-posters, e-books ,presentations for the local community. All the materials produced in the project will be made available to other partners thus enabling them to compare the cultures, the countries and understand better what the European identity is. The final results of the project will comprise a project’s logo, an e-book ""Wonders of Nature”,a photo competition,an e-exhibition ""The World of Insect"",a teachers/students' kit including a set of educational materials, the film ""Nature-ecosystems” and numerous leaflets pertinent to the project’s aims and content. The final products will be offered in many languages (national ones and English). All in all, participating in a project pertaining to the environment with a strong emphasis on the insect-related issues, a topic very important to the future of mankind, will significantly raise the students’ awareness of the ecological issues, impinge on their everyday actions and routines, eliminate negative and detrimental habits and help transform the mindset not only of the project’s participants but also of the local communities, which will also to a larger extent be affected by the project and its planned events."

The five schools realizing general primary education were involved in this two year project, and the partnership and the desire to initiate, organize and anchor an Erasmus project into our schools´ curriculum with the issues of wildlife preservation with the aim of educating and promoting good environmental practices at our schools and local communities were established on e-Twinning platform. As the schools came from diverse cultural backgrounds and geographic areas included in planned visits to explore local wildlife and local cultural and traditional inheritances; therefore this increased the visibility and experience of diversity for included participants of this project. Which also resonated successfully with the main project plan – to educating our students about their own and other partners´ local wildlife, their regional ecosystems and the problems and issues facing their regions with the resolve of finding feasible ways of protecting the wildlife. It was our aim at the beginning of this project that our pupils develop good environmental practices which would make them responsible citizens who appreciate, respect and take an active role in preserving the wildlife in their local region and Europe.Since the beginning of this project, in the Autumn 2018 till the autumn 2020, students leaded by their teachers, have learnt and established their awareness on topic such as: ,, Fish and Footprints’’ in Finland; ,,Bees and other insects’’ in Portugal; ,,Nature is getting ready for winter’’ in Poland; ,,Herbs for well-being’’ in Turkey and ,,Nature trails and Nature and we’’ in Latvia. Included short-term exchanges of groups of students served as possibility for students to know the uniqueness of the local nature in each country. Also great teaching-learning materials have been collected to be used in future educational work in each school. Should be noted, that also academic study has been done within this project to demonstrate the role of the Project Based Learning and Outdoor Activities as a method in the process of promoting knowledge for students, presented at University of Latvia. Teachers should be particularly praised whose energy and enthusiasm serves as a great example for students. It should be noted, in particular, that the final activities of the project were organised in a new unprecedented format, using internet and virtual capabilities. Thus demonstrating and proving that nowadays students and their teachers the same as Erasmus, as a programme, are very flexibly capable of adapting to the current situation, giving hope and inspiration for further work.As the OUTDOOR EDUCATION, using both formal and informal teaching methods such as Project Based Learning and SOLE (self organized learning environment) approach, served as great methodological sample and rise students’ willingness to participate and conduct actively; thus creating confidence and strong belief that groups of our students, will continue to implement the project idea, and rise of good environmental practices will make them as responsible citizens who appreciate, respect and take an active role in preserving the nature in their local regions and in Europe as whole.
