The social, economic and environmental challenges that local and regional communities face, call for new integrated approaches to cultural, economic and ecological innovation. Within the educational sector, this challenge needs to be addressed and at the same time connected to laboratories/mentors from actual innovative communities and entreprises. What competences, skills and mentorship do young cultural innovators need to create new sustainable social and ecological entreprises? And how can mentors from different educational contexts, working with this question, cooperate and learn from each other? In order to answer this question, new collaborative practices connected to social and ecological entrepreneurship need to learn from each other, and develop explorative, interconnected laboratories of practice. Through joint seminars and student and staff exchange, the project was linking these laboratories of practice where key actors in vocational training, higher education and adult education can connect. The term Ecopreneurship has been coined (Barane et.al. 2015) to describe this laboratory approach to integrated social, economic and ecological entrepreneurship. The objective of the project was to bring toghether key actors in educational ecopreneurhip from different geographical and instiutional contexts, share and explore ways of working in a fourfold way: (1) to share practice, perspectives and methods across educational courses and contexts (2) to develop collaboration within the existing course contexts involving exchange of own students and staff (3) explore methods to design and deliver a series of seminars/workshops in each geographical location (4) to co-write and publish one peer-reviewed article based on these key findings. Connected to these four objectives, the results of the project were destilled in three areas of inquiry: A. Ecopreneurship as Methods of Applied Ecologocal Economics: The visits to a series of eco-business across the participating countries and sites, gave a good foundation for the conversations on practice, perspectives and methods of business development that connect social, environmental and economic value creation. These case-studies along with two applied ecological economics work-shops in Aurland, gave a solid foundation for 2 articles published on the theme, one applied in Norwegian for practitioners and one theoretical peer reviewed article in English. The publications are both available to the wider public, and were published in the context of the project. B. Ecopreneurship as Methods of Education for Sustainable Development: The visits and case-studies connected to each hosting institution across the participting countries, gave a solid ground for developing common key questions, sharing methods and curriculum desing in Ecopreneurship as an educational tool. In the first seminar of the project key challenges were identified; and used as a basis for the design of the subsequent three seminars. These challenges were (1) The social ecopreneur challenges of economic and ecological entreprise, Copenhagen (2) The role of the students in developing innovative educational programmes, Stockholm (3) The role of craft in imagining the future of community, Aurland. The results from the educational perspectives of the project was destilled in an article in Norwegian, by Jorunn Barane, project coordinator. This publication is printed and made available also online. https://sjh.no/2019/10/16/prosjektrapport-om-okologisk-entreprenorskap/C. Ecopreneurship as Methods of Creating Space for Dialogue: The methodological basis for all strategic partnership meetings and all semianars was dialgoue, and the testing out of different methods of dialogue for different purposes. The reason for creating spaces for dialogue, is to create values in encounter, connecting peoble and place. An article aimed at practitioners and local communities on the essence and experiences of the different forms of dialogical space, was written in the Norwegian report (se above link) .Eco means building on nature and the eco-system in the concrete geographical location, place-based. Entrepreneuship means mapping and finding the resources at place, and the stories and cultutral potential. Ecopreneurship means to develop tools and methods to re-imagine and create the future through nature and culture at place.

CONTEXT / BACKGROUND: The YINT partners have extensive experience in creative methodologies for ESD for diverse youth including hard to reach groups like migrants and refugees. Existing efforts facilitate social inclusion, environmental awareness, active citizenship and social enterprise. To date our partners relied heavily on delivering face to face content. In recent years partners started considering blended learning to reach wider audiences and this has become pertinent in the current pandemic situation Thus, this project builds on transforming existing innovative material into online and blended learning offerings. Most young migrants and excluded youth have access to mobile phones and educational materials will be mobile optimised. There will be a strong focus on creativity and the arts due to the need of exploring new ways and approaches to mobilize and engage a broader range of young people than what we do today. AIMThe aim of YINT is to make a valuable contribution to creating a resilient, low-carbon society in Europe in that the project raises awareness of climate-friendly lifestyle choices among young people and mobilizes young people to act and showcase youth empowerment in response to the Sustainable Development Goals, the Paris Climate Agreement, the ‘Sustainable Green Europe’ and others. OBJECTIVES To engage with ‘hard to reach’ groups in the Erasmus+ project and in the wider and continuous work of the partner organisations. To strengthen capacity of the partner organisations and increase their impact in ESD for youth in a time of COVID by building deep and lasting partnerships and co-developing innovative intellectual outputs that respond creatively with blended learning opportunities and approaches targeting youth on a broader scale than its usual targets. Target groups will be the already engaged and the ‘unreachable’ youth. They will be either receiving, utilizing, shaping and/or testing the IO’s produced - whereas the participants in the project, the national teams, will be composed by both organisational representatives (youth workers/facilitators) and youth representatives. A number will be around 50 youth reached in all countries, making 300 in total. ACTIVITIESNew methods and approaches – based on arts, creativity and blended learningThe project will produce three intellectual outputs as tangible results of the project cooperation. Youth participants and youth leaders will be active in collating the results of the Intellectual Outputs from the target groups. IO1 Youth in Transition facilitator & teacher’s coursebook (on/offline actions)IO2 IO2 ESD-Community of Practice (COP)IO3 E-platform/Online Laboratory/App To ensure that the IOs get well utilised there will be two training events and 3 multiplier events. Lessons learned from the training will refine the IOs giving youth and youth leaders an active role in co-creation resulting in their ownership to apply the materials. i) Joint Staff training - Partner staff and youth leaders will gain skills and confidence to apply the IOs. ii) Youth bended learning - Young learners from ethnically and socially diverse backgrounds to trial the IOs and gain exposure and empowerment. The multiplier events will be organised for local stakeholders in Austria, Sicily and Denmark to introduce them to the IOs and invite them to engage with them. EXPECTED RESULTSYOUTH LEADERS USING HANDBOOK & participants engaging in social inclusion & ecologically sustainable actions in target communities. ACTIVE COP in partner countries with youth contributing towards equity, social inclusion and sustainable development in their communities ENGAGED YOUTH WORKERS in partner countries sharing and exchanging on arts and artistic expression in citizenship including intercultural dialogue, stories for civic engagement, social justice and sustainable and low carbon life-styles, reaching and showcasing new methods and tools for youth workers across the field (both on and off line)EASY ACCESS ONLINE – Diverse inter-ethnic youth engaging with app and online laboratory in interactive creative initiatives supporting social integration and youth led content creation.E-PLATFORM creating a hub demonstrating Youth in Transition projects incorporating social enterprise, ecological sustainability and social integration produced by youth with examples, quizzes, films, stories for civic engagement and low carbon life-stylesIMPACT Improved social inclusion and ecological awareness for youth and their communities in partner countriesVibrant youth led COPs in partner countries & beyond contributing to socially just, resilient low carbon society. A movement of young people from socially diverse backgrounds sharing experiences digitally on civic engagement, social inclusion, social enterprise & eco friendly society Increased multi stakeholder engagement on youth social inclusion & climate awareness at local, European & international levels.

By developing Action Bounds for mobile devices, teaching concepts, workshops and accompanying materials and by organising trainings and workshops, we want to develop methods for students and teachers to bring environmental topics (climate justice, environmental justice, food sovereignty, biodiversity) and selected SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) closer to the target groups in an innovative way, and we want to encourage and empower young people to become active themselves. We define our target groups as follows: students from 10 to 18 and biology, geography, religion and physics teachers from different schooltypes, who we want to support by offering them high quality digital content based on environmental topics. Almost all of the partners are environmental organisations from Austria, Sweden, Denmark, Malta and Bulgaria that bring in a great deal of expertise in this field . They are very experienced with environmental education and can help to reinforce key competences is this area. As environmental issues are more and more in the focus of the population, we as environmental organisations have the unique chance to join forces in order to prepare valuable content for students and teachers, and empower them to become active citizens. One key partner is a technology provider Actionbound, who will support us with their knowledge, competences and experiences to develop a fitting online tool. By using this digital tools, we also want to support teachers with ideas, how to easily include such tools into their lessons and to help to improve their digital skills. The use of mobile devices and the gamification increases the students' motivation and ensures that even children with fewer opportunities can discover their interest in environmental issues. The additional workshops and materials ensure that what has been learned can be well prepared and followed up by the teachers themselves or by the partner organisations.
