"The project ELDORA - Education for Local Development of Rural Areas was prepared and implemented by a partnership of 5 organizations from 4 EU countries. The project also wanted to address the challenges facing the European Union, such as the youth unemployment, depopulation of rural areas, or so-called brain drain. One of the main reasons for the aforementioned phenomena is that young people and graduates often cannot find their first job in the region where they come from. Social enterprises could address this situation. The aim was to increase the professional capacity of the staff of the institutions involved to be able to provide better training for VET students, unemployed people and local rural leaders in social entrepreneurship. Another goal was to process materials, provide supporting documents, best practices and information on social entrepreneurship and disseminate them further.During the project implementation we differentiated the target group into 2 groups - primary: young people in their final years of school, local leaders, mayors and municipalities´ employees, small and medium-sized enterprises and secondary: NGOs, organizations providing training, consultation and disseminating information on social entrepreneurship and groups active in municipalities. However, the most important indirect target group were the young unemployed people from vulnerable groups. The following intellectual outputs have been prepared to fulfill the objectives:O1: Handbook „How to Establish and Manage Social Enterprises ”, including the “Best Practice Collection”, are intended primarily for social business founders and managers.O2: Teaching material "" Social Enterprise as a Tool for Local Economic Development"" has been prepared for trainers, including 20 e-learning videos that form a series of interviews (5 from each country) with entrepreneurs who have succeeded in the social economy. The output serves and will serve VET trainers, course providers and a Technical University that will lead the subject on social entrepreneurship based on the output.O3: The social enterprise game “L€arn” is aimed at young people, students and young unemployed. In the game, one can try aspects of starting and running a business with a specific attribute ""social"". This is a mobile app that can be downloaded from google play and app store for free. All intellectual outputs have been developed in close cooperation of all partners and translated into national languages for better usability and are also accessible to the general public at: www.arr.sk/eldora and, of course, in the Erasmus + Project Results Platform. The work on intellectual output was supported by 2 short-term joint staff training event for Slovak, Hungarian and Polish partners. The first training event was aimed at visiting well-functioning social enterprises and labs that support social entrepreneurship and at communication with successful managers in foreign regions (Tuscany). It was attended by 13 employees of the partners involved in the project. At the second training activity, participants had the opportunity to get the latest information on social entrepreneurship and to acquire knowledge that is important in setting up and running a social enterprise; they learned about what motivates a social entrepreneur, how to motivate a potential candidate for social entrepreneurship, and what is the best functioning motivation, as doing business socially is more demanding than ordinary entrepreneurship, which is focused on making profit. 13 people also participated in this training activity. An important part of the project was publicity and multiplication events. Each partner ensured a dissemination of information about the project already during the project implementation through its website, but also via social network, eventually at the events he organized. Partners disseminated information on project outputs at multiplication events.Slovak partner held an event for 40 participants, Italian for 20, Polish for 23 and Hungarian for 16 participants. Dissemination of the project outputs was supported by sending the outputs to the Department of Social Development and Labor of the University of Economics in Bratislava, to the Academy of Social Economy - Green Foundation, to the SLSP specialist for the non-profit sector and start-up entrepreneurs.Implementation of the project has increased the capacity of employees of involved partners, of educators in the field of social entrepreneurship, which will have an impact on the establishment and success of such enterprises and on increase the employment of young people. In the long term, we can see an increasing trend of setting up social enterprises, not only thanks to the project, but also thanks to the joining forces as during the project implementation we have established cooperation with the Regional Center of Social Economy in Košice and the Office for Integration of Socially Excluded Communities of Kosice Region."

"MASTERS wants to promote apprenticeship in small and micro enterprises, developing and validating a set of practical and methodological tools to support the professional development of in-company tutors operating in SMEs, VET trainers and job counselors, so as to allow them to implement efficient and high quality apprenticeship programs. In fact, creating opportunities for high-quality WBL lies at the heart of current EU education and training policies. MASTERS pursues the concrete implementation of the quality criteria defined by the European Commission in the proposal on a “European Framework for Quality and Effective apprenticeships” (COM (2017) 563 Final).MASTERS is a complex and ambitious project, with six concrete intellectual outputs generated by six partners from four countries. We have scheduled the project for 36 months in order to ensure that the schedule is realistic and achievable and the project can produce high quality results and IOs. The main results of the project will be: AN In-depth analysis of WBL schemes at European level, with a particular focus on apprenticeships programs and on their managerial procedures, having a double aim: to promote the knowledge of WBL schemes both at national and at transnational level; two Curriculum Programmes and the respective Self- Directed Learning Guides for ""in-company tutors"" and ""job-vocational counsellors/professionals"" identifying and defining their own aims and areas for professional development (CVET) and addressing these through a range of active, participative and flexible learning activities; The “Toolkits” for better “recognition and transparency of non-formal and informal learning acquired through WBL schemes” that will enable on a large European scale a better assessment of experiential learning gained in the workplace and, therefore, give greater attractiveness to apprenticeships experiences for students and job-seekers. MASTER will than improve the quality and efficiency of apprenticeships in partners: this will be achieved through the professional development of 30 in-company tutors and 30 job-vocational counsellors involved in apprenticeships programs. For individual working as in-company tutors in SMEs (hosting organization) and as job-vocational counsellors/professional or specialist/practitioners in apprenticeship schemes in public and private employment/VET agencies (sending organization) the expected results include enhanced skills which will ensure higher levels of performances in dealing with learners in apprenticeship programmes, being able to motivate them while teaching and supporting them towards the completion of the training pathway. Furthermore, MASTERS will create a strategic transnational partnership focused on improving and promoting structured quality enhancement of apprenticeships programs. This in turn will implement a better link between VET providers and SMEs representatives, as suggested by the EC Proposal on a “European Framework for Quality and Effective apprenticeships”, so as to support mutual and regular feed-back mechanisms"

This project will be in line with the European Green Deal postulates focusing especially on topics of circular economy and sustainable solutions. The project Consortium will be taking the topics a step further, transforming opportunities into solutions. Different skills and competencies should be developed and mindsets changed. People no matter their workplace should be prepared to understand the disruptive changes around them. The circular economy is an enormous challenge for developing and emerging countries, in terms of capabilities to ensure efficient treatment of waste, the responsibility over social behaviours. Moreover, what can be observed across the EU, is the struggle of municipals over waste management, which is no longer the management of municipal waste, but also industrial waste. The aim of the project: to strengthen the quality of start-uppers, young entrepreneurs and VET providers and enhance their professional development through improving environmental change competences as well as give them opportunity to validate these competences and adapt VET provision. In “European employment strategy” strong support for entrepreneurs and the self-employed is given through jobs creation, skills development and giving the opportunity for people to fully participate in society and the economy. Through this project we want to directly help enterprising, active people to develop their professional competences, and – indirectly – to provide the whole startups sectors with specific knowledge. Experiences with startuppers are commonly analysed not on local or regional level but across countries, because those firms operates in specific, mostly high-tech sectors and their scope of activity is often transitional. That is the first reason, why this project should be done within transnational partnership. The second one is the experience and background of entities involved in the project (related with start-ups support or collaboration with), which have to be joined to get synergy effect.Output 1 will be led by RARR in terms of coordination of works related to the creation of Curriculum scope. Output 2 will be led by Danmar in terms of coordination of works related to the creation of functionalities and programming and additional with methodological assistance from the UM. Each partner will be responsible involved in the creation of content Training digital materials, which will be divided into 6 thematic parts: Each part will be coordinated by another partner: Part1 – Ways of transition to natural energy and combating climate change - RARRPart 2 – Towards biodiversity and ecological transformation of companies -CETEMPart 3 – Plastic waste management in your SME - MindshiftPart 4 – Redesigning products and services to minimise the use of materials - DanmarPart 5 – Circular businesses models - THICPart 6 - Life cycle thinking – UMPartners come from a variety of geographical and professional backgrounds to ensure the successful implementation of this multi-level project. Specifically, the consortium creates synergy of partners from Development Agency (RARR), technical university (UM), Technical institute (TIHC), NGO and umbrella organization (CETEM), and SMEs (DANMAR, Mindshift).
