From here, we set out to study the needs of young people during the Covid-19 pandemic, discovering an issue that has already begun to be discussed at European level - namely that, in addition to the health crisis and the economic crisis, we are on the verge of a crisis. mental health (according to WHO reports, the percentage of panic attacks, anxiety disorders and depression has increased significantly, only from last year until now, only among young people, and existing illnesses have become urgent - with depressive states and suicidal thoughts).Other WHO statistics identify depression as one of the leading causes of disability or difficulty among adolescents and young people, limiting their ability to reach their full potential as adults. The same study also explains that most psychological and social problems remain undiagnosed, worsening over time, and the time distance between the onset of adolescent difficulty and access to specific treatment is about 11 years (during which discrimination, exclusion, unemployment, difficulties relational deepen). At the level of youth, we can respond to solving this problem through a strategic approach, which focuses young people on what they can control and on reducing uncertainty as much as possible. The life skills that help the most to regain a sense of control are primarily those of planning (and the professional part plays a very important role), maintaining a state of balance (nutritional, sports, mental, emotional and relational) and by developing critical thinking, so that young people are as little influenced as possible by the ""bombardment"" of information (not exactly true) on all online channels. The project also responds to the need of young people to learn how to identify a problem at the social level and how to intervene, with initiatives that can be easily implemented.<< Objectives >>The aim of the project ""Mentoring Life: Small waves in the big ocean of change"" is to increase the rate of active involvement of young people in sustainable change, which concern both independence and decision-making in independent living, and problem solving in the community in which they live. This main goal will be achieved through 3 specific objectives:O1. Increasing the capacity to involve 1000 young people from 5 European countries (Romania, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Poland) in sustainable changes at personal and social level, by developing critical thinking and problem solving skills, by implementing and maintaining a style healthy living (physical, mental, emotional and relational) and by planning the educational and professional route, during a mentoring process that lasts 6 months.O2. Increasing the quality of mentoring and guidance activities for young people, by training 50 youth workers from 5 European countries in implementing sustainable change programs and by developing an innovative methodology for changing and developing critical thinking skills, healthy lifestyle and career planning for young people. This objective will be achieved by two means: a. Training young workers to become mentors for young people and creating the context in which they implement for 6 months a change program for young people and b. Creating a collection of tutorials to facilitate the work of youth workers and to convey the message of young people, in a way that they can receive, understand and integrate into daily life.O3. Increasing the capacity of 5 European organizations (Gamma Institute - Romania, CheckIn Association - Portugal, CEIPES - Italy, Aspaym Castilla y Leon - Spain and IAiRS - Poland) in offering activities with a high level of quality, addressed to youth workers (by methodology innovative mentoring) and young people (through the program of sustainable change), in the context of changing the way of organizing activities for young people. This objective will also lead to the strengthening of the strategic partnership of the 5 partner organizations in the field of youth and to the elaboration of a longitudinal strategy at organizational level.<< Implementation >>1. Project management and implementation - AICSCC with the collaboration of partners, and as methodological tools will be used the planning of activities and tasks of each member of the project team2. Initial launch events - 5 small project opening meetings (each partner will decide the date of the organization and whether it will be in physical or online format - provided it is in the first 3 months of the project).3. Transnational meetings - the purpose is to ensure the fulfillment of all objectives and the development of activities according to the established plan. As a working methodology, the 5 organizations will establish the timetable of the meeting, each national team will come with suggestions and problems / questions to discuss and at the end of the meeting, a meeting report will be written.4. Intellectual products - the working methodology is adapted from the methodology of a scientific research in the socio-human field, following all the steps of this process: documentation and writing a research report, elaboration, testing, improvement of weaknesses, product launch and description. The advantage of the partnership between the 5 organizations is that, from each team in the project, at least one person has done at least one scientific research so far, and these stages are familiar to them.5. Elaboration of the project web page - is a separate page that promotes both the intellectual products and the entire project, the partner organizations and the project financier (Eramus + with all the signs and related links).6. Short-term staff training - is a training of the staff of the 5 organizations, in order to develop their skills to apply the toolkit in daily activities with young people. The general working methodology is the logistics part, the curriculum part (made by trainers - Diana Ciubotaru and Antonio Gomes) and the evaluation, monitoring and feedback part (made by Raluca Ferchiu - Gamma Institute and Isaque Jesus - Compacting. specific forms and tools.7. Multiplication events are organized by each partner.<< Results >>Expected results:1. A strategic partnership focused on the specific needs of youth workers in partner organizations, to increase the organizational capacity of the 5 partners to work with young people, using various non-formal education tools, but especially to advise youth workers to become mentors and work closely with young people, for a change focused on concrete, measurable results.2. The program of change and development of life skills for young people ""Small waves"" - is the most important result of this project. Represents the algorithm for changing and acquiring any life skill, by having behind it research in the field of neuroscience3. Mentoring curriculum for youth workers - is the part addressed to specialists in the field of youth and focuses on their ability to stay focused and guide young people in real change. The mentoring program includes a very well developed methodology, in which mentors have the necessary tools to guide a group of young people and to pass on the ability to convey the message to the community.4. Website with resources for young people and youth workers - which also includes a collection of tutorials on implementing change on the 3 topics - critical thinking, healthy lifestyle and career planning and will function as a virtual space in which organizations in the field of youth and young people can enter to be updated with new information.5. A training (short-term joint staff mobility) of 15 trainers / youth workers from the 5 partner organizations, which will deepen the way they can become mentors for young people. They will be able to guide a young person from the stage of identifying a need, setting a goal of change and to the stage of evaluating the results of change and planning for the future.6. A group of 500 youth workers from 5 European countries, who will become youth mentors, trained and with access to the materials they need to guide young people. Following the project, each will gain work experience with a group of 20 young people, over a period of 6 months, of which 63 days of constant work.7. 5 multiplication events, one in each country"
