Therefore, all four institutions decided to put in practical way all the ideas of applying drama using the FCL, using creativity in the conception of short plays, from scripts to scenery creation, where students could be creators and embrace innovative approached to learning. In that way, and to battle against the weakness of basic skills lack of self-confidence and lack of school activities integration, this partnership aims to develop in their students improvements on their self-confidence, and provide them opportunities for international interaction, participation in multiple events and self-expression, and training teachers in this new role as well. Since the core values for XXI century competencies that UNESCO and EU referred in their most recent publications, are the self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship management and responsible decision-making, we will develop practical activities including drama and the FCL. This project have also the focus in teacher's training on the use of new approaches to education, on how students can be guided in learning scenarios using as main instruments/techniques drama and the six areas of the FCL, that's why students and teachers have to change and learn innovative techniques and methodologies in scenarios of learning, including the various edges of assessment.Drama and FCL are in the pillars of this project to improve our students creativity, self-confidence and basic skills. According to observation of OECD reports about basic skills, current articles of the academicians and the negotiation of the chosen partners observation and analysis of their students, lack of basic skills and self-confidence affect pupils highly in means of success in education so in life. Therefore we framed our project on improving basic skills, sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, responsiveness to social, linguistic and cultural diversity. We knew from our experiences that everyone who joins and performs something with the peers, becomes different from earlier. The school should adapt and offer a more attractive environment. An environment that will match the experiences of children, connected to internet, using multimedia, collaborative activities, taking initiatives, and stimulating creativity in learning, that's why we consider important to relate the technology and possibilities that using drama in enriched environments with multimedia, because they can stimulate educational environments. The main objectives are: O1. student's centred objectives: to improve our students basic skills and self-confidence; to improve pupils social skills and sense of initiative and entrepreneurship; to support students school and life successes and improved levels of skills for employability; to develop enthusiasm for drama among students; O2. student's collaboration related objectives: to practice and perform sketches and plays on the stage; to encourage the learning of foreign languages and ICT skills; to improve pupil's international interaction, participation in multiple events, self-expression and social skills; to help students gain valuable communication and problem solving experiences; O3. student and teachers European collaboration objectives: to develop knowledge of the diversity of European cultures and languages and its value among students and teachers; to learn about European countries; to promote intercultural dialogue between different countries. To accomplish this objectives, 60 preselected students and 24 teachers, directly involved, and more than 1500 indirect participants of the partners institutions from Greece, Malta, Poland and Portugal will work co-operatively and collaboratively using new technologies, etwinning platform, and perform plays in each international meeting that lead to two main tangible products: learning scenarios descriptions using drama and FCL and video of the plays about school subjects created in each international meeting, published online in the main project webpage. These materials will help educators and stakeholders to understand our way of work and research about this innovative products, and can help stakeholders to make a turning over to innovative teaching and learning environments, where students and teachers have new roles and can contribute to a better school environment where they work together in a more pleasant and effective way.

It's aimed at every profile of pupil, eventhough it was made at first for pupils with troubled economical and social backgrounds with a difficult approach to learning. Designed in a REP+ middle school (French classification for schools located in troubled and poor areas), the project was born with the wish to get our students out of a cultural desert. It was also born as the heir of a long series of projects via the Comenius and the Erasmus programs. Coming after Esperanto, music and sport, cinema will be the fourth universal language explored by our school in a European funded program. Cinema is already well known in our school thanks to a Cine-Club that was born 2 years ago. It's also a popular medium of communication and exchange between the cultures but also a common ground for understanding, allowing every one to express one's feelings and views. Making a movie requires technical as well as management skills: writing, playing, operating a camera, sound recording, team management, etc. These elements all connect to items of the common European knowledge and culture basis for the students. Whether it's foreign languages, IT, communication skills or artistic expression, they are all items used to evaluate the pupils and part of their curriculum. They are all elements which will be later useful in the life of our pupils. Our partners will be 4 other middle schools located in 4 different countries: Italia, Greece, Romania and Spain. Every one will do its part and provide their very own skills and techniques and / or original and typical landscapes to shoot the movie: it's all about putting forward the local specificities, cultures and landscapes. This will allow the pupils to get to know their neighbours and the taste the otherness and diversity of the Union. Every partner will also activate its network of film festivals, local institutions and organisations that can help the making of the movie but also the aftermath since it will be sent to film festivals. We have made up an organisation that will allow this project to take place both in distance and during the exchanges. Every group in every country will have a weekly hour dedicated to working on the project and preparing the final task. Collaborative writing will be used to write the screenplay during these moments as well as editing, and post production thanks to softwares that we'll train them to use. They will do everything on this film: screenplay, acting, operating, sound recording, editing, making the music, make up, costumes, etc. As teachers we will propose a frame, an outline of the screenplay in order to make it easier for them and keep them on tracks, to guide them during the writing phase. It will be about a European size investigation on an art robbery case, divided in five chapters (1 per exchange). The main character will be played by a different actor every time. Every chapter will feature local specificities and cultural references. There you have a project which triggers the use of mutiple skills, in a funny and stimulating context allowing pupils to improve their cultural knowledge of Europe and their European citizenship.

This is a central question nowadays in the European countries that are receiving more and more foreign and refugees, and integration is being an important issue, so we can promote tolerance, peace and avoid violence, scholars drop out and prevent failure. We must help our students to learn and thus promoting cognitive and personal development, in a sense that meaningful learning could stand through collaborative work, problem based learning and service learning strategies. At the same time the stimulation of cultural values are very important to improve our institutions social environment, and in that way we believe that the use of motion pictures can be a central deployment tool for change and bring innovative practices to learning and teaching process.Through this project we will prepare teaching strategies that include motivating, meaningful, collaborative and applicable to real world activities, such the problem of refugees that we are facing nowadays, taking into account the personal characteristics of each student. We will be guiding students in the construction of knowledge regulating learning, promoting and evaluating their progress as responsible citizens in Europe.Over the next three years, a group of teachers and students from partner institutions will take apart in a intervention project where they will be trained and they will train others also using motion pictures in collaborative work, problem based learning and service learning. Therefore, motion pictures are in the central of this project to improve our students’s self-confidence and basic skills. According to observation of OECD reports about basic skills, current articles of the academicians and the negotiation of the chosen partners’ observation and analysis of their students, lack of basic skills and self-confidence affect pupils highly in means of success in education so in life. Therefore we also framed our project on improving basic skills, sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, responsiveness to social, linguistic and cultural diversity; improved levels of skills for employability as also defined important priorities of EU Erasmus+ programme. To battle with the weakness of basic skills, as the partners of this project we decided to develop our students’ basic skills, self-confidence and provide them opportunities for international interaction, participation in multiple events and self-expression. Since the motion pictures is an art that includes many features of art, we aimed to improve basic skills of our students with the effect of this project. The students will improve their artistic skills by performing interviews and histories as well as their literacy and writing skills by writing the scripts. Moreover, they will develop their ICT skills by recording and editing videos as well as their language skills by using English both in writing scripts and performing. The students and teenagers including the disadvantage ones will be our main actors and they will be in the centre of all stages when the teachers will be supervisors in the project. As main products of the project we present a website with the motion pictures created and a final short film about refugees, offering a free b-learning course and a free e-book with studied cases of activities where motion pictures can be used along with collaborative work and problem based learning strategies in acquisition of basic curricula competencies, and as integration strategy of foreign students.
