Coding is like a language. It is a way to instruct a computer or a tablet what you want it to do. It may be seen as the modern literacy and it is important that the teachers within our educational systems are well versed in it in this field so that they will also be able to pass on this knowledge to our pupils who will constitute the generations of the future. In fact, young children can learn the foundations of coding before they can even write and spell. Learning to code will prepare our pupils for future jobs, jobs which don’t even yet exist, hence the importance of it all. This project will focus on the teaching of numeracy and literacy skills through coding and robotics. The objectives of this project may be listed as follows: 1) Provide training to at least 40 teachers about numeracy and literacy skills through coding and robotics 2) Enable at least 40 teachers to expand their expertise on the teaching of numeracy and literacy through coding and robotics through exchange of good practices 3) Establish a good relationship between the 4 participating schools The planned activities to be undertaken over two years are 1 Kick-Off Management Meeting in Malta, 4 school visits in Malta, Slovenia, Italy and Portugal, and 1 structured training course for staff - Italy (Milan) and 3 dissemination activities by each participating school in their own country. The concrete results of this project will be the following: - At least 40 teachers will receive training on the teaching of numeracy and literacy skills through coding and robotics; - At least 40 teachers will be more knowledgeable about the best way to teach numeracy and literacy skills through coding and robotics via the exchange of good practices with other European teachers; and - 4 European schools will undertake mutual capacity-building Participant teachers will be equipped with the necessary training which is then transferred to other teachers within the school. Educators in our school will be using online resources and other Coding equipment with their learners once we disseminate the knowledge gathered from this project. These online resources will be available on the eTwinning Platform - available for all. Here we’ll have all our activities together with an eWorkbook. This can be viewed by all the school partners and also by schools in other countries. This will be a good way to show our good practices and the success of our project.

"Title: ""NOT ONE LESS""The project was based on the adoption of the Tinkering methodology in the pre-school, on the introduction of Coding and Robotic activities in the primary school and on the experimentation of CLIL methodology in STEM subjects. The priorities were chosen to promote social inclusion through the enhancement of different learning styles and different intelligences. The project included three schools, two from Italy and one from Spain with the involvement of pupils from the different school levels and teachers who followed the training provided for in the LTTA and built innovative educational paths. It started in 2018 and, due to the pandemic, it ended on February 2021 after the request of an extention. The project provided a solid structure to allow teachers to use new methodologies in teaching by improving the level of knowledge and the level of use of the English language, sharing good educational practices for teaching science subjects. Using very diversified work methodologies, during the project phases, allowed the inclusion of disadvantaged pupils, increasing and developing motivation and interest in learning as well as interpersonal relationships and the growth of self-esteem, as well as achievement of some European key competences such as: Communication in foreign languages, Digital competence, Learning to learn, Social and civic competences. The methodologies used promoted the achievement of the objectives, in fact the students have:•improved the abstraction capacity that is the ability for creative thinking and problem solving,•improved communication, logical and digital skills by acquiring new verbal and non-verbal codes.Attending the different LTTAs, Coding in CLIL, Tinkering and Educational Robotics, teachers gained valuable knowledge of Coding and the role of computational thinking in the teaching / learning of STEM disciplines; they learned the most suitable methodological principles for introducing these disciplines into the curriculum and they planned learning units that were experimented in the schools. Participating in the short term exchange of pupils, allowed them to increase motivation and interest in learning as well as interpersonal relationships and the growth of self-esteem, in order to acquire awareness of European citizenship by collaborating with classmates from different countries, using English as the vehicular language. Due to the Covid19 pandemic, project activities could not be concluded as planned in the application form. The last mobility, concerning the exchange of pupils in Tinkering activities, was not held; however, the partner schools continued to work in a collaborative atmosphere, implementing the planned activities. This project has certainly enriched the educational offer of the schools involved for the acquisition of transversal skills, but above all it has provided teachers and students with those skills of lifelong education that will give their long-term benefits."

Title: IN THE KING'S HEARTThis project which is going to start in 2019 and finish in 2021, involves 3 schools: 2 Italian schools and a polish one. The aim of this project is to consider the cultural heritage in all its forms: material, immaterial and digital ones whereas it shows the cultural European diversity being the focal element of the intercultural dialogue. The historical-cultural heritage tells stories and it has been changing ever and ever in order to reinforce the feeling to belong to an unique area where the past meets the future. What character could be a symbol of a cultural osmosis between East and West with a long glance to an universal vision of brotherhood among people? The dream of Federico II was this one and this project, by retracing Federico’s steps, wants to support the training of the future citizens who will be capable to talk together, to understand each other, to accept others. So the knowledge of historical sites will represent a way to go into the history and to become real active citizens into a large area as Europe is. Moreover, the project aims at bringing pupils to gradually learn the historical research method based on knowing the documents and consulting oral and written sources. To make a hand-in-hand E-book by involving partners means to transfer this educational experience to a concrete “tool” of learning by doing. The aims of this project may be listed as follows:-to become aware of own identity in order to discover the cultural, religious, ethnic differences and to learn the first rules of social life;- to direct pupils toward the historical research;-to manage a cooperative work in group to give value to the competences of each “actor”.Aim 1: to increase the basic skillsR1: lesson plan about local history in mother tongue and English (transmissive language);R2: lesson plan about European history in mother tongue and English by using CLIL and ICT methods:R3: to achieve a data base to collect research material.Aim 2: to increase the historical competenceC1: training activities about historical research.Aim 3: to increase creative and digital competencesR7: historical parade with travelling pictures about Federico’s life with old costumes;R8: hand-in-hand E-book.Aim 4: to increase pupils’motivation, participation and relationshipR 9: products made by pupils: posters, lapbook, digital products. Moreover, the concrete results of this project will be the following:-at least 45 teachers will receive training on the method of historical research;-at least 45 teachers will increase their own knowledge and grow the history curriculum of their school;-European schools will reinforce the capability to work together.-The inclusive process of BES and DSA pupils will occur by involving them into the cooperative work. The project has been written in Italian language because it has been presented to the Italian National Agency, however the partners bave collaborated in it by using English language which they will be using as working language. Moreover an English copy of this project has been sent to the Polish school.
