The partnership will work together to lead the digital skills transition by adopting smart advanced technologies and further boost economic recovery, renewal and resilience. The adoption of digital transformation is key to allow the EU textile industry to be at the forefront of the new competitive market scenarios.<< Implementation >>The project will develop a set of innovative digital learning tools based on an innovative approach to transfer and create knowledge based on existent tools to foster digitalization. The 3 specific activities to be implemented are: the detection of digital needs and challenges in the textile industry in Catalonia and Slovenia, the design and development of a training programme and e-learning contents to face these needs and a pilot test and the dissemination of the developed training programme.<< Results >>The main result will be a virtual training programme covering the lack of knowledge in the Catalan and Slovenian textile industries related to digitalization, which can be extrapolated in other European territories. This will help to highlight clear gaps that are apparent in the textile industry in these regions and provide practical ideas on how to improve these gaps through the introduction and implementation of key digital tools, solutions and skillsets.

The platform, dedicated to innovation of sustainability education, will include teaching and learning resources, capacity building for VET providers, activity co-creation, contest and event management tools. 500+ VET experts will be involved during the project and are expected to increase their capacity to prepare learners for the green transition.

In this respect, the project makes a direct contribution to the 1st pillar of the “European Pillar of Social Rights in 20 principles”. (Education, training and life-long learning offering a way to engage and motivate adult learners to increase their basic and transversal skills in order to enable them to participate fully in society and manage successfully transitions in the labour market).The project will be based on adult learners' needs analysis, accumulating international valuable experience of experts in the field and adult education, providing innovative learning approach and ensuring user-friendly digital learning tools.Climate change is now acknowledged by most international organisation and public bodies to be a priority for action. This project aims at connecting this climate priority with improving the availability of high-quality opportunities for adults. The project goes together with UN 2030 Global Goals for Sustainable Development, priority in EU Strategic Agenda 2019-2024: ""building a climate-neutral, green, fair and social Europe"".Climate change and cultural heritage are interconnected. However, sustainability is one of the five pillars of the Framework for Action on Cultural Heritage, which highlights its potential to enhance social capital, boost economic growth and secure environmental sustainability.<< Objectives >>The main goal of this project is to connect European cultural heritage, Climate Change and Impact on the Economy. Therefore the DESC project has such objectives:- to ensure the availability of high-quality opportunities providing tailored learning materials and using innovative user-friendly learning environments;- to provide a practical toolkit on Green LifeStyle, Cultural Heritage and Economy;- to empower adults to develop sustainable communities possessing the knowledge, abilities, values and attitudes needed to live in, develop and support a sustainable and resource-efficient society.<< Implementation >>A team of experienced adult educators, private educational and consultant companies, representatives of higher education institutions will work together to provide high quality, innovative training tools for adult educators and high-demanded learning opportunities for adults by creating 3 intellectual outputs of the DESC project.During Erasmus+ project DESC, a number of training events, at least 30 adult education trainers will be trained and at least 240 adults facing fewer opportunities will be involved in learning sessions.The project results will be presented to 180 adult educators, environmentalists, representatives of the cultural heritage field, associations, community services, trainers, representatives of the public sector, employment services, education and training providers, civil society organisations, youth organisations, VET providers, higher education institutions, ready to multiply DESC project results in their organisation.<< Results >>Experienced partners from Italy, Lithuania, Turkey, Ireland, Greece and Spain, while implementing Erasmus+ cooperation partnership project DESC are planning to develop 3 intellectual outputs:(1) Handbook ""Developing Empowered Sustainable Communities: Green LifeStyle, Cultural Heritage & Economy""(2) E-platform ""Developing Empowered Sustainable Communities: Green LifeStyle, Cultural Heritage & Economy""(3) Trainer Guide ""Developing Empowered Sustainable Communities: Green LifeStyle, Cultural Heritage & Economy""All results and materials will be published on the project website and accessible at least 5 years after the project will end.The project deals on promoting lifelong learning through providing opportunities in education with the focus on strengthening adults’ life skills."

This is facilitated with the use of libraries networks, as their role is changing to a digital information and services hub, due to the accelerated digital transformation of the post COVID era.<< Implementation >>Library staff, and adult educators (formal or non-formal) will take part in training, to support them in providing online e-courses to senior learners in their areas. Through these courses, older people will be empowered to make full use of the fantastic range of library services available online and receive the full benefit of inclusion. In addition, senior learners will become confident to independently use a range of digital public and commercial services.<< Results >>DSSI aims to develop an open platform for a curriculum of free online training on how to use the internet and access digital library and public services for remote users of an older age, that are digitally under skilled and feel left out. It will also develop a complete an Educator’s Tool kit. A Road Map for additional organizations related to adult education that may desire to set up the DSSI training and support program, even as a face to face help centre.

In particular, targeting seniors (adults over 45), that have less learning opportunities to foster these skills, that are attractive, updated and directly tailor to their gaps.<< Implementation >>ALiVE will engage seniors in the development of a Methodological Framework of competencies in MIL, to later develop a curricula and interactive learning materials focus on the competencies they need. The content will be available in the Learning Stations in the metaverse, that will be piloted with seniors and accessible to any citizen. The Learning Stations will be hosted in a 3D virtual space, to provide an immersive learning experience, the start of a growing virtual community of learners.<< Results >>The project will improve media and information literacy, critical thinking, and digital citizen skills of 75 seniors participating in the pilot. And raise awareness of the importance of MIL among education providers, and decision and policy makers. The main result is the Learning Stations in the ALiVE virtual Environment, a space that can be scalable, and improve overtime; and more important, provide a quality learning experience in real-time thanks to the features of 3D virtual environments.
