The project “SoundBeatsTime” is to be implemented by Yellow Shirts Association (Romania) in partnership with Agrupacion Centro de Cultura (Spain), Associazione Giosef - Giovani Senza Frontiere (Italy) and Institutul Roman de Educatie a Adultilor (Romania) and takes place between March 2021-March 2023.The context of this project is based on the need of the cultural sector of having developed online tools and platforms where to do their work when the physical activities were no longer possible, as it happened with the Covid-19 pandemic. All world was caught by surprise and was not ready to work and activate fully digital for 1-2 months.Looking deeper in the music field, Covid-19 has created the “ideal” time for enrolling into courses of specialization, researching, reading and self development. However, on a brief search on music courses, the results were rather low in numbers and a big part of those were costly. The young musicians had now time, but rather limited access to information due to finances. The main purpose of this project is to equip the youth with the needed competences in obtaining financial benefits from the cultural sector, in particular from music. The objectives through which we aim to achieve this are:O1. To increase the organisational capacity, strengthen this network and equip the consortium’s youth workers with tools and methodologies within the project’s topics (music production, online promotion and entrepreneurship), during the project’s lifetimeO2. To elaborate and maintain functional a platform with courses and information about music, online promotion and entrepreneurship, for a period of at least 5 yearsO3. To train 20 youngsters from Romania, Spain and Italy regarding music production, online promotion and entrepreneurship, in order to support their integration to the cultural sector labour market. The target groups are formed by youth workers interested in working in music, online promotion and entrepreneurship and in acquiring new online approaches to work with youth; NGOs eager to enter the EU funding world to have the possibility afterwards to provide youth with more cultural activities; and youth, mainly from Spain, Italy and Romania, interested in producing music as a source of income, but who lack sufficient knowledge in it.The activities aim to involve over 600 people in activities such as long term staff mobility (increasing the organisational capacity of NGOs), short term staff mobilities (training on online approaches and methodologies to work with youth), access to an online platform with courses (music production, online promotion, entrepreneurship), additional materials on these topics or a forum, as well as 2 blended mobilities where 20 youngsters from Romania, Spain and Italy shall put in practice the knowledge gained from the courses. The main results are 1 guide on online approaches and methodologies for working with youth, 3 MOOC courses (music production, online promotion, entrepreneurship and creative entrepreneurship), 1 guide to support NGOs in increasing the organisational capacity, 1 music hub platform and 1 disc compilation of youth creations. The methods used to create these are researching and documenting, exchange of practices, video and manual instructions, individual and group works, as well as practical experience with experts. The platform itself will play an important role for the sustainability and continuation of usage of the results due to its forum and possibilities of its members to interact with each other, to collaborate in joint projects (producer-producer, singer/player-producer, looking for music/singers/players, etc.), to attend webinars, interviews, other courses of specialization and have access to any other type of materials we would produce in the sense of the project or requested by the members.
