As EC stated in its communication on tackling early school leaving (COM(2011) 18 final), education and training systems often do not provide sufficient targeted support for pupils to cope with emotional, social or educational difficulties and to remain in education and training. PRO-LEARN is a large scale project as it involves 6 different organisations (public entities, NGOs, SMEs) from 5 EU countries - PL, CY, GR, IT, RO.The project objectives are: -reduce early school dropout through speed up the learning process -overcome shortage of specialists at schools (psychologist, pedagogues)-improve engagement of parents in learning processes of their children and development of their cognitive abilities-enrich scarce offer of free-of-charge and barrier-free tools (including the ICT- based ones), for diagnosis of cognitive processes and the preferred learning style of children aged 6-14 years old on their own and by their parents and teachers/educators,-enrich scarce offer of free-of-charge training programmes and educational-oriented materials for parents, educators, devoid of technological barriers to computer use, to support pupils in the development of effective learning skills, using their resources and full potential of the brainThe target groups of the project who will benefit from the project products and take part in the projects’ activities are as follows:1) direct target group: - primary and lower-secondary school students (6-14 years old) - their parents- teachers involved in the aspects of educational counselling- primary and/or lower -secondary school teachers- primary and/or lower -secondary school experts – school psychologist, educators 2) indirect target group: - educational institutions which offer services related to pedagogical guidance- counselling centers3) other relevant stakeholders:- local, regional authorities responsible for education- universities/HEI- parents and teachers associations- platforms for education professionals such as eTwinning, School Education GatewayDuring the project implementation the project partnership will develop five main intellectual outputs (IOs):1.O1: Electronic tool for diagnosis of cognitive processes of younger children (from 6 to 10 years old) – online, multidimensional, standardized and normalized tool to diagnose cognitive abilities and processes and the preferred learning style of children in pre-school / junior school age - aged 6 to 10 years old.2.O2: Electronic tool for diagnosis of learning styles and cognitive processes for older children (from 11 to 14 years old) - multidimensional electronic tool designed for diagnosis of the preferred learning style and cognitive processes of children and adolescents at school age (11 to 14 years old). It will be a standardized tool prepared according to the psychometric approach.3.O3: TRAINING TOOLKIT FOR TEACHERS AND EDUCATORS available in a form of e-learning will contain 10 on-line, short-term trainings (1-3 hours), in multimedia form focused on the latest discoveries of neuro-pedagogy (learning styles, how to teach children, multisensory teaching, etc.) to provide teachers with the knowledge, strategies and a range of approaches that will support them in teaching and application and utilization of the project IOs in the school and beyond school settings.4.O4: EDUCATIONAL TOOLKIT FOR STUDENTS - EDUCATIONAL GAMES AND TASKS aims at development of cognitive functions and supports students in the development of effective learning skills and utilization of resources and the full brain potential. It will be composed of a unique on-line set of short exercises to support/ develop cognitive processes favourable effective learning and also exercises that develop various learning techniques and methods. The exercises will be divided into two age-groups: 6-10 years old and 11-14 years old.5.O5: TRAINING TOOLKIT FOR PARENTS dedicated to parents to prepare them to work with children on developing skills of effective learning methods, to teach children how to learn and help them in cognitive development. It responds scarce parents’ knowledge on children's development of the cognitive and social skills and their low involvement in learning process of their children, according to the latest discoveries of neuro-pedagogy. It will be available in the form of 5 m-learning trainings developed in multimedia form (including films, diagrams, flashcards).The outputs O1-O5 will be available in EN, PL, EL, IT, RO, on the multi-language project website as open source material. The target groups of the project will take part in content-creation, design, testing, evaluation of the project IOs from the project outset (participatory inolvement), as well as dedicated training for trainers (C1 activity).

School boards are among the local stakeholders who deal directly with this issue. They face the need to support, inspire and even sometimes propose ways or solutions to their school staff and members in order to escape from this unpleasant condition of keeping themselves and their pupils, unintentionally, far from improvement. Thus, the core of the designed policy of all stakeholders is suggested to be the development of the basic key competences and improvement of inclusive practices of their staff. Erasmus+ programme offers great opportunities to schools for opening doors to partnerships which address issues like developing transversal skills, increasing awareness on social inclusion and enhancing digital integration in learning and teaching. The project ''My Roots become Our Wings-Travel Agency / MRBOW-TA’’ aims to increase awareness on the importance of skills and competences in today's life, through the implementation of inclusive education and digital integration. We intent to show how international cooperation through Strategic partnership can improve the basic key competences, with special focus on the one of initiative and entrepreneurship in the framework of inclusive practices, for the development of pupils and educators into (more) independent lifelong learners. In relation to this, all 6 partners (Cyprus, Romania, Lithuania, Austria, Poland, Italy) with 159 teachers and 2063 pupils during the project, intend to show the power of KA2 collaboration on improving key competences for developing entrepreneurship, removing the barriers to social inclusion and providing ways of turning schools into learning communities. Several methods and tools will be used for the realization of the aims and the objectives of the project: (a) Pupils are travel agents who aim to increase awareness on local and European identity/citizenship and cultural heritage through the use of transversal skills, digital integration and inclusive practices. Teachers guide and support pupils while at the same time they are involved in self-improvement procedure. (b) Teachers and pupils will work using collaborative methods with tools of formal and non-formal learning. Non formal learning: simulations, role play, problem solving, case studies, debating. Formal learning: They will make use of media and technology, implement skills and competences from maths, mother tongue and foreign language, social and civic, and sense of initiative and entrepreneurship. Objectives: - To develop basic and transversal skills, such as entrepreneurship, digital skills and multilingualism in all fields of learning and teaching, using innovative and pupils centered pedagogical formal and non-formal approaches; - To improve the level of key competences and skills, with particular regard to their relevance for the nowadays life and their contribution to a cohesive society; - To promote digital technology as an entrepreneurial tool for enhancing independency in lifelong learning and social inclusion (in local, national and European society); - To develop participants social and personal skills; - To help young Europeans and educators in the planning and implementing of practices for tackling social exclusion; - To increase awareness about the power of Erasmus+ programmes for supporting the development of transversal skills. During and by the end of the project we will ensure the visibility and dissemination of E+ KA2 projects through many products and platforms. We will create a blog, upload videos, produce teaching games and booklets (recipe books, dialogue books), photo albums etc. We will also produce a joint learning outcome which will be an Index for improving teaching and learning in practice. This LO will be disseminated to the wider LL Community and will support the power of such collaborations. The expected impact on participants: Going through this project, we believe that all participants will get the opportunity to change their attitudes and beliefs towards major issues, such as inclusion, cultural diversity and tolerance in education. They will all gain knowledge, in order to develop empathy in diversity and increase self-reflection in favor of solidarity in an ongoing transformed society. As a direct impact we expect more openness in the attitude of the participants that will help them understand their status of living and thinking in a more complex way, how they can improve their opportunities as teachers and pupils who have to deal with new unexpected situations every day. Participants will develop their competence on social skills, media technology and entrepreneurial thinking. Moreover, they will develop a sense of being independent active learners, regarding their self and professional development and the social inclusion practices they use.

During health crisis, like COVID-19 pandemic, promotion of public health and issues regarding self-protection are crucial, not only for the adults, but also for the children. Especially for children 6-12 years old, it is very important to teach them in a way that they will better and easier understand issues related to health and self-protection.One of the main policies in all EU countries is the promotion of health education to children. Health education builds student's knowledge, skills, and positive attitudes about health. Health education teaches about physical, mental, emotional, and social health. It motivates students to improve and maintain their health, prevent disease, and reduce risky behaviors. For this reason, teachers in primary schools must find innovative methods to support and make children understand issues regarding health, self-protection, and public health. Covid-19 proved the lack of adequate health education of children in several countries as well as the inadequacy of the lack of digital tools in learning to be used for distance learning.Digital Game-Based Learning (DGBL) is an innovative method in supporting children to the learning process not only in classes, but also by distance. DGBL is one of the best ways to teach students in primary schools, as it creates a new perspective in learning culture, which go hand in hand with the interests of the pupils. Digital Educational Games (DEG) are an innovation in primary education, that can enhance children learning and acquiring skills. The integration of DEG in the school environment of primary education, could effectively contribute to reforming the educational system. Primary education teachers can play a crucial role in supporting children’s DGBL. By developing activities to deploy digital tools and methods to deliver quality and inclusive education through online/virtual means, teachers will be able to provide qualitive and inclusive training to children in such serious issues as prevention in health issues.i-Learn4Health project is aiming to help teachers in primary schools to provide health education to children 6-12 years old. Teachers will be trained not only in theoretical aspects, but mainly in how to apply in practice the DGBL method, by using the Digital Educational Games which will be developed by the project partners. This activity will be carried out from University of Patras (lead partner) and will include the timetable of all activities, outcomes, time limits, milestones, etc. It will also describe the reporting requirements & the communication rules & tools. Transparent rules of management & direct contacts between all project partners will be the foundation of effective project implementation.Educational actions implementation material. It will be carried out by University of Patras and all partners will be involved to prepare the educational material for each health promotion section proposed for each student age. Project Dissemination Plan. It will be carried out by p-consulting & will include the following aspects: target groups, dissemination objectives for each target group, schedule of the dissemination activities, project logo-slogan-key messages, number of the individuals & organisations reached, partners' tasks & responsibilities, promotion & dissemination tools, reporting information etc.Exploitation of the Results Plan. This activity will be carried out by p-consulting & will be focused on integrating the project results into national practice & provision in their respective countries as part of the overall strategy.Project logo – Promotional Material. It will be carried out by p-consulting. The project will have its own identity via a project logo, which will be graphically & verbally uniquely identified, so as to be effective for any visual & search engine web research. Promotional material will also be developed (leaflets, project cards etc) & will be used in dissemination activities.Project Website - Social Media (creation, updating & maintenance). A project website & social media accounts will be created & updated in regular bases by project partners. The activity assures that target groups will know & use the project results, during & after project life span. The activity is necessary for the sustainability of the project results. Project website will be in English & in all partners’ languages.Dissemination activities. They will be carried on by all partners so as to disseminate & exploit the results through traditional channels, to identify outside bodies that need to be aware of, or involved in project, to determine how partners can use existing networks for dissemination, to ensure the continuing visibility, accessibility & use of the results after the end of the project, to explore opportunities which could lead to the project results being transferred to & exploited in other countries.Risk Management Plan. It will be carried out by COMCY. The purpose is to identify risks within the project, categorize & prioritize each risk, determine the likelihood of the risks occurring, identify the impact on the project if risk does occur, identify preventative actions, develop list contingent actions to reduce the impact, schedule these actions within an acceptable timeframe & monitor the status of each risk.Quality Management Plan. It will be carried out by Errotu & aims to assure the quality of implementation of the project tasks & results & the continuous improvement. It will also help to establish a support mechanism for the project management in order to ensure smooth cooperation between partners & a successful implementation of the project.Sustainability Plan. It will be carried out by FSLI & it will be a guide for project partners for the sustainability of the project after its end. The purpose is to develop a comprehensive approach for the sustainability of project results through a SP that will serve as a tool & a road map for helping project partners to coordinate efforts, track progress & focus energies on the highest priorities. The SP will set goals & strategies for the sustainability of the project results after its end & will identify opportunities for change and progressNewsletters. 5 newsletters will be produced by Centro San Viator, so as to inform<< Results >>The project will produce the following results, which are addressed to teachers, head teachers, teachers responsible for health & safety in primary schools etc:PR1:Electronic Diagnostic Tool for diagnosis of the factors that influence students’ effectiveness of knowledge acquisition in DGBLA multidimensional electronic tool will be designed for diagnosis of the factors that influence the effectiveness of knowledge acquisition in DGBL for children in primary schools (6-12 years old), with emphasis given to health promotion and health education. Factors such as enjoyment, happiness, and intention to use are important attitudes in learning educational games and increasing learning performance. It will be a Digital Tool (in English, Greek, Polish, Romanian and Spanish) easily available via Internet without any physical barriers. The Tool will be accessible online via computer, laptop or smartphone.PR2:Digital Educational Games for health promotion and health education in primary schools. Digital Educational Games will be developed focusing on health promotion and health education of children 6-12 years old. The games will have different thematic according to the age of the children. Analytically: 6-7 y.o: Healthy dietary habits7-8 y.o: Be Active-Train yourself8-9 y.o: Accidents and Protection9-10 y.o: Stereotypes and stigma in community10-11 y.o: Internet addiction11-12 y.o: Sexual health promotion and interpersonal relationships-The gender differenceThey DEG will be designed respecting all the protocols for WCAG2.0 with graphic elements properly designed for the avoidance of too many texts (thus easier to be used from a wider target group of users), including animations where needed. They will be web based but hosted on a platform with PWA technology (thus downloadable to a mobile device) and fully responsive, playable from all kind of devices. The technology to be used is H5P (Richer HTML5 Content in Existing Publishing Platform like Wordpress or HTML) to be homogenized with the rest of the website of the project and also with a button to download (respecting the transferability of the games).The DEG will be developed in English, Greek, Polish, Romanian and Spanish.PR3:Online Training Program in Health Promotion and Health Education through DGBLAn Online Training Program will be developed for teachers/head teachers in primary schools, targeted on health promotion and health education through DGBL to children 6-12 years old. The aim is to upgrade their skills on health education and on how to use the method of DBGL so as to teach children on public health issues and self-protection.Learners will be trained on:The Online Training Program will contain information regarding:•what is public health;•The characteristic of each thematic section in each class•how do we train children (6-12 years old), according to their age, on health issues and public health;•why it is important children (6-12 years old) to learn and understand about health issues and public health;•why and how to use Digital Game-Based Learning (DGBL) method in the learning procedure;The training program will be available in the form of e-learning in English, Greek, Polish, Romanian and Spanish, and it will be free of charge, easily accessible and available for the public.
